He got frustrated when I asked about his company if it was Expedia. I asked for the name of his company. He would not provide the name. He failed to say Good bye. That is a manners and professional common courtesy. I asked to speak to the hotel directly. He would not transfer me. So all those failures, let to my high skeptical outcome, with knots in my stomach.

Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
