The company's reputation is significantly marred by persistent customer service issues and a frustrating return process. Many customers report long wait times and ineffective communication, leading to dissatisfaction and a lack of trust. While some reviews highlight the quality and comfort of the products, these positives are overshadowed by complaints regarding incorrect orders, inadequate support, and hidden fees related to returns. Overall, the sentiment reflects a growing frustration among customers who feel misled and undervalued, prompting them to seek alternatives from competitors known for better service.

I ordered two pairs of clogs for work and paid an extra $20/per pair for next day shipping. My order was placed on 12/29/20 and I received it on 1/6/21... 8 days later. I called customer service and was told that an order can take anywhere between 1 and 5 days to be placed and THEN it would be processed. I told the customer service person this information was no where on the website at which time he told me to go to the bottom of the webpage. Then go to customer service... then to the shipping options... where it says in small print about the 1 to 5 day shipping! He insisted this information was "right on the website" but I continued to state this information was hidden because anyone in their right mind would not spend an additional $40 to receive their products 8 days later! (duh?). So after much round about I was issued a $20 dollar credit and then after MUCH more round about I was issued an additional $20. They lost my business for sure! Please consider carefully if you want to give them yours!
I ordered a pair of boots for my daughter as a Christmas present. I received a confirmation email from them. When I had heard nothing about shipping after a week, I called to check on my order and was told it had been "cancelled" due to low stock.
I would stay away from ordering shoes from this website strictly because of their return policy. Not only do they give you just 14 days to return your purchase for a full refund vs. a store credit you'll only have 5 days to ship the product back once you receive the return authorization number (which I applied for only two days after receiving my boots). It cost me $24 to ship the boots back. I'll stick with Zappos thank you.
This company apparently sells UGGs boots without the box & with a red line through the tag. I asked Ugg what this means and they said that this company is not supported or in anyway connected to the UGGs website. I had a short chat with this company and she answered a couple of questions and then I asked her how long she thought it would take for my order to get to Virginia and she just disappeared. A little strange this company- I would've liked to order a pair of boots but I feel like buyer beware
I ordered a ladies pair of shoes. I received a men's dress shoe. They would not refund me until i sent back the incorrect shoes which arrived due to their own negligence. The issue will be that the return is based on the shoes that I ordered which i never received. Do not order from this terrible company. Pictures of what i received and what I ordered.
I purchased a pair of relaxed fit Sketchers. I didn't like the fit & immediately returned the shoes without ever wearing them. Shoes.com refunded my Paypal account, then immediately cancelled the refund. I contacted Britt at customer service, she said there was an error and my refund was just re-issued and will hit Paypal in a day or so. The credit never arrived & I can no longer get thru to customer service.
They advertise that they offer free returns but when you get the free shipping label for the return, you are informed that there is a $6.95 "handling fee". What a scam. Wish I had read reviews before ordering, I usually do.
Got vans for 30% off and they arrived in 2 days. Not sure why this site has such awful reviews. Maybe it used to be sketchy, but it's totally legit now.
I bought two pairs of boots and ordered the wrong size. They sent me the return tags and I took them to UPS as directed. Since it was two tags, they could not send in the original box. My credit card was credited and then I see charges from them again on boots I did not ordered and received them back. I contacted customer service and they cannot refund my money due to the boxes were damaged in transit. This company is nothing but a scam do not use them.
Purchased 5 pairs of shoes and attempted to exchange or possibly return I was told not at this time. Have tried again and now shoes.com site is saying an error has occurred. Would not trust Shoes.com. And they offer 30points for a review, I better get them 30points, I just spent 5min of my time. Thanks Shoes.com and don't waist your time apologizing I'm never returning.
I bought a pair of insulated Bogs for my son. They were too small. Sent them right back and shoes.com claimed they had been worn. What a scam!
I think this company is fine if you know exactly what shoe you want and that it will fit. I bought two pairs of shoes - a pair of running sneakers that were the same company and size that I already owned, so I was sure they would fit. They came quickly and were great. The other pair I bought was some booties. When I first tried them on, they fit ok, so I wore them to my office where I sit at a computer most of the day. By the time I got to work, they were already hurting my feet, so when I got home I decided I'd return them. They told me they wouldn't take them back because they already had a small amount of wear in the short time I wore them. They also said I could try to return them but there'd be a restocking fee, so if they rejected them, I'd be out even more money. I guess these are going to Good Will. Hopefully someone else will find them more comfortable than I did. I'm disappointed in this return policy, especially since it's an online store so there's no option to try them on before buying. They do have a discount for teachers which I appreciated.
I bought a pair of Keen work boots from shoes.com about two weeks ago. I loved them at first they were comfortable and looked really nice. I even wore them (as directed by the company) in the house for 4 whole hours before wearing them to work, because I thought they might not help me out if I wore them to work and something went wrong. Unfortunately I was right. I wore them to work and the metal eye holes for the laces dug into my ankles and it was very painful. It is so painful that I can't wear them at all. I called costumer service and they said they wouldn't help me in any way. So I now have a nice new pair of $150 work boots sitting in my garage I can't wear and can't do anything with.
Buyer beware - this company will not help you in any way if you have a problem with your boots. NOT worth doing business with. Spend money with your local retailers or other online stores- you have a better chance of getting Someone to at least pretend they care or want to help you.

THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE. I ORDERED A PAIR OF SHOES. I OPENED THEM IMMEDIATELY ON DELIVERY. I NOTICED VERY NOTICEABLE MARKS ON BOTH SHOES. SO I TOOK A PHOTO AND CIRCLED THE DAMAGE AND SENT AN EMAIL. YOU CAN SEE THE MARKS MORE CLEARLY IN PERSON. I ALSO NOTICED THEY ARE PUT TOGETHER POORLY. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE KEDS KATE SPADE. I AM SORRY, BUT THE WAY THEY ARE PUT TOGETHER I CAN SAFELY SAY I BET THEY ARE NOT AUTHENTIC. ALSO THEY CLEARLY HAVE NO QUALITY CONTROL IN PLACE, BECAUSE THESE MARKS WOULD EASILY HAVE BEEN SEEN.
I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM THEM TODAY, THAT I CAN RETURN THE SHOES BUT HAVE THE NERVE TO TELL ME THEY WILL CHARGE ME A RESTOCKING FEE. THEY ARE DISPICABLE, THEY SENT ME DAMAGED SHOES AND EXPECT ME TO COVER RESTOCKING FEES.
I WILL NOT BE SENDING THE SHOES BACK! I AM TAKING THEM TO A REPUTABLE PLACE TO SEE IF THEY CAN SAFELY GET THE MARKS OFF AND CLEAN THEM, THEY NO LONGER HAVE MY SIZE AND THEY ARE CUTE OTHERWISE. THEY CAN GIVE ME SOME KIND OF PARTIAL REFUND FOR THE DAMAGED SHOES THOUGH!
THEY WILL NOT GET A DIME OUT OF ME TO RETURN THEM TO RESTOCK THEM ONLY TO SELL DAMAGED TO SOMEONE ELSE. I HAVE SENT AN EMAIL OUT TO FIND OUT WHO I CAN REPORT THE COMPANY TO FOR ALL OF THIS. SHAME ON THEM!
ALSO, I DID NOT PUT THESE SHOES ON NOR DID I LACE THEM. THEY ARE IN THE CONDITION THEY WERE SENT TO ME. THEY HAVE A LOT OF NERVE TO TRY AND CHARGE ME A RESTOCKING FEE FOR DAMAGED SHOES.
Very disappointed, frustrated & angry. Bought shoes from this company few times. Beginning of September ordered New balance 847V4 walking shoes. Without walking how am I suppose to know how comfortable they are. Wore only four times, it hurts my feet and not comfortable at all. Didn't ask for money back. Was ready to exchange. They can charge restocking fees but no. They accept return only they r unworn! Can't believe how one can feel the comfort of walking shoes without walking? The pair I paid more than $100.00 will never use this site.
I ordered size 15-16 slippers. I wear a true 13 1/2 to 14. These would barely go on and appear to be closer to 12. I complained and they said to send the "unworn" shoes back in the original box with the original tags. There never was a box. I explained this to them plus I had to try them on before I knew they wouldn't fit. Also, I had already thrown away the tags because I never suspected size 15-16 would be too small. They gave me no options. To top things off, I noticed the 25% off coupons they sent were only good for 3 days! Pitiful.
I purchased Uggs and needed to exchange for a different size. The email on their site bounced back and the return process is ridiculous. Spend a little more and purchase from Zappos or Nordstrom. They Are reputable
They do not accept returns. That should be stated somewhere in large print before money is handed over to these shysters.
I guess the 1 star is for their successful website that leads you to believe you are getting a great deal. But should you need to exchange or return, SHOES.COM could care less about the consumers interest. Rather than allowing me a size exchange, they required that I return the wrong size and reorder the new size; rendering me out the $$$ twice.( the shoes were over $100 dollars each) They then refused to accept my return of the first pair and made no effort to rectify my situation; it was my unfortunate problem they told me. I even asked to speak with a supervisor. I guess they are too big a company to care about losing one customer. The best they could do was offer me 30% off my next pair; as if id ever buy from them again. PLUS, the site already offered a 30% off discount code so, thanks for nothing, literally! Shake my head! Shameful!... the consumer discount is discounted service and business ethic. Too many other places to shop!
Because of Covid, I looked everywhere on the website about delays. There was nothing noted anywhere, and even my email confirmation said in stock orders will go out in 1 to 3 days. After over a week with no info, I called to check. The person on the phone had to be working from home. I couldn't understand but maybe 5 percent of what he said. He then got irritated when I asked him to repeat since I couldn't understand him. I DO NOT recommend this place.
Answer: Apparently they do not care. Not a real good omen for staying in business very long.
Answer: Stay away! I tried to make an exchange, and they charged me for the new shoes and then claimed that returned shoes were worn and damaged and wouldn't give me my money back. I wore them long enough to try them on and even then the shoes were so small and stiff that I couldn't get my feet into them! I asked the customer service "manager" (the 4th "manager" I spoke to) if we are allowed to try on the shoes and shes said "yes of course" to which I said then why do you consider what I did wearing them? She didn't have an answer. This is a scam to sell off damaged or defective merchandise. Stay away.
