Poor Customer Service

Spectrum deserves 0 stars for their horrific service management and customer service.
1. I added the basic tv package to take advantage of a 7 day trial. After 2 hours of the free trial, I wanted to cancel the service. Adding on the service was incredibly easy, however removing it has been a nightmare.
2. I have been placed on hold for 20 minutes or more on 2 separate occasions. Both were attempts to remove the cable service because it is not possible to do so online (despite the fact that you can easily add the service).

This feels like an intentional effort to make me give up on canceling the service. Spectrum sucks!

Billing fraud!

I canceled my service after paying my bill, due to Charter/ Spectrum Disney debacle.Now there sending me a bill a month after cancellation of my service. They bill a month in advance so how in Gods name do I owe them anything? Not to mention not being able to watch any of my college football games and tv shows and you have a dam nerve to try to bill me for services I no longer had.

Spectrum or Bust!

Ok, figure this one out. I have been with Time Warner for many ears since Spectrum took over. I got sucked into a Bundle Plan which was supposed to be the best! I noticed my channels started to have a "Golden" next to the channel. My channels started to come with an additional price. I got tired of the disappearing channel so I canceled my TV/Cable services. I only wanted Internet. If you are just looking for internet, Spectrum has 3 tiers available. $49.99, $69.99 and $89.99 (NO BUNDLING) Just my internet went to $129.99. When I called to cancel the Cable/TV, the person told me to turn everything in before the 13th of the month. I turned everything in on the 5th of the month. Now I have been charged for the Cable/TV for the month despite turning in the equipment that was given to me. There is NO Pro-Rate, there is no REFUND and after being a Time Warner/Spectrum customer for over 30+ years, I get a $40.00 increase a month just for Internet services. The Cable company s loosing money at a fast rate because of the high prices and little options. Streaming is where many people are switching to because of more options, better movies and cheaper prices. I am waiting for Google Optic to hit my neighborhood and it is coming fast. I was on hold for 22+ minutes waiting to speak to a Supervisor about this issue but soon I was dropped from the call! Go Figure! Buyer-be-ware! I forgot to mention, I am still paying for Cable/TV service even though I turned my equipment in almost a month ago!

Service out half the week every week, refuse to send technicians out again after one diagnosed issue as outside connection and setup at apartment building. Will not offer bill credits for multiple days documented with service out. Will harass with 10+ calls a day if you refuse to pay for their services not rendered.

Bad Business Practice

Most people in fact nobody I know looks at the bill and the spectrum customer service rep do not tell you that you bill is about to double.

Spectrum is GREAT ABOUT SENDING PUSH NOTIFICATIONS witch i used to get every single month telling me what my bill amount is and no even bats an eye until its out of the ordinary like when your bill doubles.

They can push you a notification out a out your bill but they can not put a warning saying HEY YOUR BILL IS GOING TO DOUBLE as if you knew you would be looking for another internet company so spectrum doesn't want you to know your bill is going to double.

You can not complain as they have no complaint email or number to complain to because they dont want to hear your complaints a rep will tell you i will give you feed back witch everyone knows that means FILE 13. Spectrum could care less.

Terrible customer service

I Cancelled my service as close to my billing statement as possible but Spectrum would not charge me for the days I used. They charged me a full amount versus what I actually used, extremely dishonest company.

I called spectrum to cancel internet service. The guy named Rick was very awful and dragged me to many questions and did not do my request cancellations. Even he asked me to hold the lines for not returning to my call after I was angry for his unnecessary questions. It took more 10 mins not to do with canceling and asking me unnecessary questions for selling their services. It was really making me angry and made me very uncomfortable using spectrum in the future. They should trained their representatives to make satisfaction to customers and not to force to talk customers to advertise their service. I will never use spectrum again. They don't respect customers and they just want to advertise their service to use by force.

Horrible Humans and Company

I have nothing nice to say about this company! I tried to get them to write off an iPhone that I purchased for my son who passed away suddenly in another state and tried telling that I have no way to retrieve his phone. They said that the only way they would write it off is if I was the one who was dead. In addition, I had a free line, which one of the 10 people that I spoke with wiped out (when the conversation was about the iPhone cost) I never asked that my free line be deleted from my account and when I said I wanted it back for legal reasons, they decided to charge me for it. So now I'm paying for a telephone line and phone for my deceased son. I'm not sure how much worse they people could be.

Absolute nightmare

Don't get this disgusting excuse of a company no matter what you're better off going to your local laundromat and using the free wifi there it's probably 10x faster and more reliable than spectrum. I had att before and was paying 80 instead of 45 that I'm paying right now but I would take back att in a heartbeat now that I know how useless and dog $#*! this good for nothing "service" is.

Their service always down. When you call they have no explanation for the outage. 4 or 5 phone calls ago about an outage they said they would compensate me after 4 hours of no service. It came on for 20-30 minutes then went off again. I do t know what they were worried about the last time they had to compensate me it was $1.27
This service is a joke. I'm going back to ATT!

How sorry can you be?

I retired and was trying to lower my bills as much as possible. They told me I could save money by streaming instead of using cable but had nothing to offer as far as saving money on internet so I got a better deal through ATT.
Guess what,,, They make it so difficult to cancel it's pitiful. You can't do it on-line. I called several times and was put on eternal hold. (>hour) Never did get anyone on the phone. I finally drove 25 miles to get to a store and returned their equipment. I was so upset that they made me waste so much of my time that I requested they discontinue all of my services on 9/13/23. My billing cycle started 9/21 but apparently they had already taken 215.00 out of my account by the 11th. They are truly thieves. Honest people would never conduct business like this. Take your business elsewhere you can.

Can I give this service a zero?

Absolutely the worst decision you can make is to get Spectrum. They entice you with a low offer and then quickly bump up your rates, without even telling you. The service is mediocre and the customer service reps are nice, but incompetent. Then when you try to disconnect, they screw that up also. It's a horror story.
Do yourself a favor and stay away.

This all black commercial is offensive to me. I don't know when it is but all catering to raise or treat or whatever else but the back to normal again these commercials are offensive to me and I'm ready to file a complaint with the FCC there you go
