Mixed feelings

Spotify is a platform where one can listen to music and podcasts for free. Well they say "free" but, to enjoy this platform you MUST have Spotify premium and if you DONT have Spotify premium it is literally torture to use this website. You only have a LITTLE BIT of skips, a WHOLE bunch of ads every second, and it DOESNT EVEN PLAY the song you want. This makes me want to rip every single strand of hair that I have and makes the whole entire platform unbearable to use. The ads are so long it feels like im being tied to a chair being forced to listen to a 30 second video of a person blabbing about spotify premium. I also get ads telling me that I will get NO ads for 30 minutes after listening to a 30 second ad and not even 15 minutes pass by and im already getting a stupid ad. Overall, This is a good source of music and I understand that premium is obviously gonna have features that users without premium cant use, But in order to even enjoy using this app you must buy Spotify premium to even listen to the music you want. I'll be generous enough to give this platform 2 stars but overall, Spotify doesn't even feel like a "free" platform.

It's fine, i guess

Honestly i barely use this so i don't know if i can say its bad or good, i kinda used it for a year but unless you have premium it bombards you with ads and the playlists you make are all on shuffle, always. Maybe there is a way around that idk. They also make you listen to songs that you didn't download, that might be a good thing for some but i like my bubble.

Nice source of music and not just music. I can even listen to various podcasts with Spotify. Since Joe Rogan came here it has become more than just a music streaming platform for me.

Uninstalled spotify
September 1, 2023

Today we officially uninstalled spotify. We use Sonos studio now. Because the ads on Spotify are so disgusting, loud and annoying. Every 2 minutes there starts the spotify ads. Highly recommend uninstall spotify,we don't need this crap.

What customer service
August 23, 2023

15 minute or so intervals you get a new person that has to read what was in the texts and then help. Went through 7 people before the double payment was rectified and my Playlist was retrieved. Noon to 830pm to be on that messaging system. Payoff, a higher bill per month. Where is your customer service?

Poor Service

I've had Spotify for the past 6-7 years.
The connectivity service in the past 6 months has been extremely poor.
Example: within 1 hour of play time, I get disconnected about 6 times. Requiring me to simply log back into the app and I press play.
As bad as that is, imagine I'm not near my phone to re-play
THIS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE
IM OUT!
Found another music service that works well

I was double charged for months for two family plans. Apparently there was a family plan in my 10 year old's name. Customer service argued with me over the charges because it was another account. I loved the service, but the ethics is not good. A family should not be charged for two family plans out of the same household, with one of them being charged to a child! I expected they would reimburse me for the couple of months it occurred, but no. They lost me as a customer.
I liked the streaming, but watch the billing if you go with them. That, and family members get kicked off the plan frequently, so some family members chose not to use it.

Well, I've been using Spotify since 2012 and it's been a great companion app. I love to quickly search for any song and just play it, simple! The feature of control devices within the same wifi network is just so convenient, specially when there's a BBQ going on.

Nothing but ads!

The ads play so frequently on the free version. You can only listen to 2 songs then the ads play. It's so annoying! Theyre use to be ads every 5-6 songs. Frustrating to use!

It feels like it's playing one add for 1 unskiped song (u get 6 skips an hour), I'm not buying your stupid premium or listing to the trash songs you're promoting, in foct I make it my personal to avoid any artists that promote themselves in spotify adds. Not to mantion if I search up a song and try to play it, it will play a song from the entire album or smt. I genuinely hate spotify. They just have to make the adds 30 second long, that's not necessary, feels like they make them that long and get the most annoying voice actors just to spite me. I would rather listen to paint drying than use this app. The only reason I won't buy premium is becouse 90% of the stupid adds are about spotify premium, that's for remanding me why I sould use another app!

Disappointed

I have used Spotify for a year loved it. I am looking to remove it now. They only play 1 or 2 songs now then bunch of commercials. They keep stopping my play list and replace it with their recommendations. Was a good music app not anymore

They could not care less about you unless you are a paying customer. Want to play a specific song on an album on the web browser? I hope not, because that feature has now been removed - after years of its accessibility. You simply get "shuffle mode", just like their pathetic app. No better way to push away potential customers than providing a crappy free (aka trial) experience.

After turning off ALL notifications your app STILL has the incessant need to notify me of every song I listen to, ALL the time, even when it's been on my playlist for years. ANNOYING and ignorant as far as I concerned. Your company OBVIOUSLY doesn't give a $#*! about it's customers. The app can't even do an acceptable shuffle on my playlist, it plays the same half dozen or so songs over and over again. The app is pathetic as far as I concerned. Give it a zero but that's not an option.

Playlists are pointless with the new update. I make a play list, and Spotify plays songs not on the list from the beginning. It will play every couple songs on the list and then the play any random song that is terrible. I'm about to quit Spotify. I'm so disappointed. Pandora was amazing. What ever happened in to that?
