Jewelry is junk

I have purchased several pieces of gold over jewelry for my wife. The pair of 1/2 ct drop earrings have a too thick too small wire so they are not wearable. I also bought the Aria bracelet 18kt over silver marketed as original price $399.00 ( sure) and the Italian made twist hoops originally $299.00 ( again sure). I guess they forgot to dip them because they look like cheap brass from the dollar store. Don't fall for the lies like we did. JC Penney has better gold over for $10.00. Better yet check out Gorjana on line.

If I could give zero stars, I would.

The quality of the products is terrible. More like dollar store quality. I ordered binoculars and they are not even adjustable to line up with my eyes. And the pocket knife was so cheaply made, that the knife wobbled within the casing. A return policy is great except that you have to wait three weeks for them to finally get around to issuing refund. And then, you are not reimbursed for any shipping incurred. Buyer beware! Spend a bit more elsewhere and buy something worth using!

I bought a watch for $51.84 on Dec 29. I retured the watch on Jan 9th. I got a refund of $20.69 on feb 17th. I called and they said the differnce was for freight.They talk about how easy it is for returns, but they don't talk about the hidden charges. They say read the fine print. Who want's to deal with a company like that.

STAUER WATCH SUPPLIER(S) USE THE CHEAPEST CONSTRUCTION POSSIBLE. THIS MEANS DROPPING THE MOVEMENT AND ITS BATTERY INTO A CUP-SHAPED CASING WHICH HAS NO REMOVABLE BACK PLATE. A "CASE-LID-BACKDOOR" TO ACCESS THE BATTERY WOULD INCREASE THE COST OF CONSTRUCTION! THE WATCH FACE IS SET ON TOP OF THE MODULE AND THE CRYSTAL SEALS THE MODULE INSIDE THE CUP-SHAPED CASING. I got my set yesterday and it's beautiful. I did get charged the wrong price, but I called and the Customer Service people I spoke to were wonderful and corrected it. It is an amazingly beautiful set for the price. I will definitely buy from Stauer again!

We ordered multiple items, 4 of which were bad.

They have an arrogant customer service.

I think they are just a front for some foreign overseas group.

I bought a "DOWN UNDER bowie knife" from Stauer.com, the product they sent me was made in Pakistan instead of Taiwan, not made by "Down Under" company. The box of their product clearly prints "Stands Alone Chipaway Cutlery", not "Down Under" branded knife.

On the product listing page from Stauer.com, the description was nearly identical to "Down Under" official website, therefore, I believe Stauer.com had every intention of selling this knife as a "Down Under" product, even though they know very well their product is counterfeit.

I thought about keeping the knife when they told me I had to pay out of pocket to return the product, but the extremely low quality of the product would make it a danger to its user!

By comparing this Stauer product to my authentic "Down Under" knife, the sheath leather is half the thickness of the real "Down Under" sheath, and Stauer sheath used painted FOAM spacer instead of leather, I don't think the sheath will last very long...

The knife blade is made of low quality metal, which flexes easily by hand. I worry it will snap in half if I continue applying pressure. The real "Down Under" knife does not bend even when I stand on it...!

The Stauer knife's blade is half the thickness of a real "Down Under" bowie knife, and it has black chemical stain all over the blade (not the pattern, but actual spot stain from poor craftship), one big black stain on the hilt. The blade doesn't hold edge once I start chopping. On Stauer's website it states this knife is made of 420 surgical stainless steel. I find it laughable.

Although I cleaned the knife several times, my hand smells like rusty metal if I touched the blade.

I browsed through Stauer's website, and noticed many of their products lack detailed information such as product origin, inaccurate material information(in my case). For the listing price on their website, you could buy a real nice product from a recognized brand like "Down Under".

After back and forth communication with Stauer.com, I learned they will refund only the product price, but I would lose the shipping charge and return shipping charge, despite the fact they are selling a counterfeit product.

I advice anyone planning on shopping at Stauer to be extremely cautious...!

Terrible Service

I would never order from them again! I ordered the end of October for Christmas and with 5 days until Christmas still have not received my order and they don't know when I will. They keep stringing you along and say you will have it on time and now here I am without the gift! Terrible customer service and they could care less! I see they have bad reviews other than mine. To bad I didn't check first.

Worst customer service 8n the planet

The don't even read what one wrote. The answers are in automatic and if you call the customer service center, they try to feed you with lies, such as; your package hasn't been delivered because of a signature, when you are seeing the tracking and there hasn't been any movement in more than a week. If somebody lost it, make the refund, be reasonable and responsible. Even wish conducts their business in a more professional way. Never again

A gift was given to me of this beautiful necklace and earring set. First time wearing it, I notice stains on my top. Turned out the maroon jewelry colors were bleeding onto my white top. Appearance of quality was very deceiving. The gift giver was terribly embarrassed. Very pretty design, terrible quality!

Stauer junk watches

I have bought three watches in the last year two of them the bands were either disconnected when I received them or popped loose on the first day the third one the second hand just floats when I contacted stauer they said if I would buy an extended warranty for $17.95 they would fix them why should I pay for an extended warranty when they weren't working when I got them. I see 100% satisfaction guarantee in their ads. Bull$#*! beware stauer is junk they look pretty but they are junk.

Offered $50 Off, Never happened!

I went to Stauer web site to buy my wife a gift.
Had an idea what I wanted.
Right when I got in, pop-up came up to offer $50 off, if you were to spend over $100.
Had to provide e-mail and accept receiving BS in the future.
Searched site for gift and checked out, the $50 was not done automatically.
I called next day, was told that the order was being processed and there was nothing he could do.
Customer service instructed me to call back next day.
Called next day, was told that they couldn't do anything because the order had already been processed.
I didn't make this $#*! up, they offered it.
Pissed me off, Idiots!

Good merchandise for the price

Over the past 15 years, I have purchased several watches from Stauer and they were generally good and always attractive. But I never went beyond men's watches until 2022. This year, I have ventured carefully into jewelry for my wife and a pair of Italian deck shoes for myself. So far, my wife has enjoyed the jewelry and the deck shoes, although expensive, seem to live up to the hype in the catalog. Customer service has always been excellent and, so far, I have no legitimate complaints.

This company should be ashamed of myself and so should I. I generally find something that I would purchase from the catalog, have a special code and then the price goes up and the code doesn't work. What a bunch of BS - and apparently other folks feel the same. I will now instantly throw out and take myself off the email list. My money can be spent elsewhere with a much more customer service oriented and more honest firm than these jokers!

Fraudulent charges

Avoid this company

I ordered a pendant, earrings and necklace set from these guys online early November. I received their package the day after thanksgiving and it was nothing that I ordered. I contacted their CS via email and they told me I could use the return tag to exchange or return. The exchange they said would take about 5 weeks or so, so not making it by Christmas. They said I could pay out of pocket for better return mail but still no guarantee it would get here by Christmas. Then they advised I also pay for insurance when I returned the wrong item. What a useless company this is. Avoid them at all cost.
