Bought two wathces from Stauer. Both quit working soon. Took one to a Watch Repair shop. The repairman is a master craftsman who could not get the parts for repair because the watch is Chinese made. The web site looks great, but they sell a cheap product for several times more that it's worth. If you do decide to buy from Stauer, buy the insurance package with your watch. At least, if you do have to return it, at your own expense, they will replace the watch.

Last year we bought 2 million carats of emeralds and 9 million carats of amethyst. The local store might buy 20 or 30 carats a year from wholesalers who mark up their product by about 50%.
