We bid on 5 units. It did not tell us we were outbid and appeared to have us as winning all 5 units we were bidding on. Then it did not do a "soft" close where the bid time increases by 2 minutes each time a new bid is placed but still had not told us we were outbid. Also, our bid amount (150) was the high bid. Evidently another bidder had a higher max bid entered but the bid did not go to 160 (and say we were outbid) like it should have, it remained at 150. If you are "outbid" someone has bid higher than you; not the same amount! This kept the overall bid down on these units and was unfair (possibly illegal) to the facilities selling the units and the tenants that have the bid amounts credited towards their outstanding balance that is subject to collection. When we arrived to get our units we were told we had only won 2 of the 5. We like to bid on multiple units, especially when we are driving 3 hours (one way) to get them and it just isn't cost effective for us to win one or two units. We were told we had the option of not paying for the units after driving 3 hours, which would have been very unfair to the facility selling the units and stupid since we already had driven 3 hours in a box truck with a trailer. We have the printouts showing what I have stated above. I have called multiple times only to hear that a supervisor was in a meeting and would call me back. That has not happened. Horrible customer service! We have cancelled our subscription and will just use LockerFox from now on.
Won a storage bin today at Harrisburg speedway storage in nc, Noticed that my invoice was taking to long to appear in my won inbox, so after 2 hours went by I called in to ask what was holding up the paperwork, they told me that I got outbid@ $250. My bid was $250 asked how can i be outbid if I am the highest bidder, there answer was that the server made a proxy decision and gave my bin to somebody else even tough I am the highest bidder! Asked to speak to a supervisor they said he was in a meeting, I said bull$#*!! Your system stole a bin from me and you guys just want me to go away, forget it! More live actions for me,
This company will rip you off till the bitter end! I've had 3 different auctions cancelled after I won them. They still charged my credit card the fees then took them 5 weeks to reverse them. They also charged my card after a owner of a storage unit failed to meet me at there location so I could pay for my unit. It was a self sustained kiosk unit where there are no employees. I explained to storage treasures I had made numerous attempts to pay and collect the belongings and they still charged me and wouldn't reverse the charges. I have yet to but a decent storage unit from them as well. Like previous comments stated from others, these are staged and looked through prior to units going up for auction. Save yourself the time, money and energy and look
Elsewhere or you will regret it too!
I made my account with a credit card, they put a hold on my card for $0.01. No big deal right? Wrong! I cannot make a payment to my card account if there is a pending transaction. It has been pending for 2 weeks. So I am now late on my card payment. Which messed with my nearly perfect credit score (it WAS 829) and charged me the stupid 24.42% interest rate.
1. Charging a penny is useless.
2. It shouldn't still be pending the auction has ended
3. I didn't even win the damn unit
4. The FAQ and support team is by far the most incompetent group of people I've ever felt with, and I live in Kentucky (our entire state is incompetent).
Three times i purchased auctions that were nothign but garbage i believe was stagged. NOw that the new site is up ive had three lots canceled moments after i wont the auctions my guess is the bids were too low and the storage managers wanted more money. I contacted their customer service who told me there is no safegaurds in place to protect buyers they can be $#*!ed at any point. Only the storage managers and any thing they perpetulate against the bidders are protected. They state the storage manager can remove his offer at any point even if youve won the auction. They want people to bid but offer you no safegaurds and you are liable for any amount you bid even if its a mistake. Stopped using this $#*! site effective today. Complete waste of time and money and you have no rights except to pay up chump.
I was in the middle of bidding and while i was bidding my 1 year old started slapping the keyboard while i was sending it threw so it changed my 100 to a 1000 i contacted them immediately as it happened ( the bid was only at 60 at this time) as it says to do on there help questions a couple hours go by and i send another message finally get a response and it was a man named arturo lopez he said he would contact IT and they could change it as long as it was under the 100 dollars. I was like okay thank you. 4 days goes by now and they haven't done anything that they said and now the bid is jumping higher and higher! Still no response from them again and i sent them 4 messages now. I think they are a shady company and they where waiting for the bid to jump to act like they cant do anything about it now! Really 4 days it doesn't take a 2year old to go in as admin on there own website go to my account and adjust it down to what i was trying to originally bid! There unwillingness to help the very people(customers) who are funding there company is ridiculous! I refuse to ever do business with them ever again! Save your money and do live bids!
THIS HAS HAPPEN TO ME ALSO, LAST FEW MINUTES OF THE AUCTION ( 7MIN.)ITS GONE, DISAPEARE, AND I WAS THE HIGH BIDDER WHATS GOING ON HERE, THIS IS HAPPENING TOO MANY TIMES STOP USEING THIS SITE...
Bought a unit went to pay was told to come back tomorrow... called storage battles to complain and got a rude girl who refused to let me speak to a supervisor... was told my account will be suspended and my credit card charged if I don't empty the unit. HELLO I WENT TO EMPTY IT AND WAS REFUSED... If you charge my card and I was denied my merchandise isn't that FRAUD? HELP ME HOWARD
Ever go to a live auction? Translate this to an online auction. Remember that the rules are the same except that you are at the live auction where the seller has very little time to close the auction and once it starts it is too late. Know the rules and the site itself. Mistakes do happen, and they have with me. But all in all i get frustrated by the site itself. What i mean is; it gets overloaded and i cannot get on, a ton of STUPID bidders, and storage company owners/managers whoo steal from the units leaving only the trash; i. E. cubesmart. Now that they have combined with storage treasures; hopefully; it will get better.
I used to buy here, but twise I bought garbage because I bought from private sellers and even though the sellers were selling there own personal electronics, t. V's etc... they are not obligated to state if the items work or not. Not one of T. V's out of 5 worked and it's impossible to believe that someone would allow this people to sell and not stating if the items work! They don't care about the buyer! As long as they make a buck from the storages and private sellers. I will not use this site again! If I could I would give it a negative 10!
Dear Potential Customer:
Please consider this my rebuttal to the negative report brought against my company by a disgruntled customer. To set the record straight, StorageBattles.com is an on-line auction site portal which connects bidders to independent self-storage facilities which are placing defaulted storage units up for auction.
StorageBattles.com, much like a live auctioneer or Ebay, simply runs the bidding process, and has no control over the goods being auctioned. Storage unit auctions are governed by individual state laws and the actual posting and delivery of the units is governed by the individual self-storage facilities. State laws mandate that the tenant has the right to cure his auction up to the point that the buyer pays for the unit.
This disgruntled customer, who had purchased the unit from StorageBattles.com, apparently had some issues with the unit that he purchased because the unit was cured by the tenant. He claims "I truly believe the people working there liked the storage and wanted to buy it themselves". StorageBattles.com performs over 6000 auctions a month and although they are based in Scottsdale, Arizona, performs auctions in every state and Canada. We do not bid on storage units, and do not have the ability to cancel an auction. Only the Self Storage facility has that ability whether it is a live or online auction.
While StorageBattles.com is sorry that the customer is not happy with his purchase, this was an issue between the bidder and the Self Storage Facility, not StorageBattles.com, as we are just a portal for the auctions. StorageBattles.com has hosted over 70,000 on-line auctions with a content 95% buyer base of over 800,000 bidders.
Sincerely,
James Grant, CEO and the StorageBattles Team

Horrible website, was winning an auction then it randomly gets canceled, won another auction was on my way to pay and they call me saying owner came and paid in full. I think its all just a scam. I truly believe the people working there liked the storage and wanted to buy it themselves. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME! Youll have better luck going to physical auctions because you wont be able to truly win anything on here!
I have been trying to buy a storage on here for months. I constantly bid on the same sellers units and at the last second the units all get pulled. I know they can pull them if the buyer comes and pays up, but I doubt that every buyer comes two hrs before the auction ends and pays up every time, I emailed them about this, and no response. I want to make sure that the sellers are not just pulling auctions because they dont get the right price they wanted. But Its hard to tell if they will look into it if they dont respond to emails. I feel like there should be a rule made that the seller cant end the auction at the last minute. This is unfair if you have been watching the unit for a month online, and make plans with taking time of to clean the unit, and then a hr before it ends it dissapears. For people who buy these for a living like I do depend on this not happening. If this doesnt stop happening I wont waste my time bidding very much longer.
I have been using this site for almost 2 years as a buyer, and am always getting amazing deals. I have purchased over 100 units and find it easy to use and search for units in my area. The best part, however, is the fact that I can be in 2 different auctions in 2 different cities at the same time. If I win, I go and pick it up and pay. If I lose the unit, I haven't wasted anytime, gas, or money.
According to another storage unit sales website, you can sell your own private unit. However, the entire forum for sellers on this site is directed at storage facilities rather than sellers in general. There is no mention of private sales. Regardless, I went ahead and created an auction. Every time I checked on my auction, I searched by keyword "private" so that I wouldn't have to login. Two days before the auction ended I decided to do the search by zipcode, nothing came up. Again, by city name, and nothing. It's a wonder I even got any bids. They are biased and rigged to be in favor of storage facilities. This is my first and last auction with them. I won't be using them again.
This is a great site for bidding on storage units at auction. They have completed changed the formula for how us storage buyers buy and sell storage unit contents. They are the best storage unit auction service online.
Answer: Plase be careful this unit are from people who already purchased units took what's good then resale what's not worth to them.
Answer: My apologies for the delay. You should be able to find the link under Recent Bids, by searching for the Auction ID. If you don't want to do that, we can send you the link. Please contact our Customer Support team at (480) 397.6503
Answer: Hi Tasha, We are sorry to hear about your struggles. I recommend asking the storage facility to pass your contact information to the winning bidder of the auction. It will be up to the winner to decide to contact if they want to discuss returning of some items.

Answer: When you buy, its as is, NO REFUNDS. Storage treasures works for the storage units, no audits These places Now are showcasing units and scamming new buyers, You are buying dump runs, why do you think they are asking for $200 cleaning deposits, because they want the buyer to remove the trash, and even sweep the units
