If you're purchasing a warranty for your plants, read the fine print. Both of the plants I purchased from The Tree Center died and when I tried to utilize the warranty to replace them, I was told that the warranty is null and void because they were planted in pots. On top of that, the customer service rep scolded me for improper care of the plants when I followed the exact instructions provided. I spent $200 for 2 dead plants. This was my 2nd time purchasing from the Tree Center and will be my last. With both purchases, the plants didn't last more than a year. My plants from the big box stores are thriving and you don't have to pay for a warranty with them - it's provided free of charge. You can return plants to them within a year and they give you a full refund, no questions asked. The Tree Center needs to do better.

Purchased 3 trees and received them…
Purchased 3 trees and received them infested with bugs. Called and emailed. I did everything they asked me to do and they refused to help. Turned them into the Better Business bureau and the case was closed as Unresolved because they do NOT HONOR THEIR WARRENTY. Stay away from them.
I received 3 items - a hinoki and 2 cherry laurels. They look great and arrived hydrated. However the leaves of both cherry laurels are riddled with round holes from insect damage. That was disappointing.
Ordered four lavender plants. They arrived in a horrible state. Two totally dead; two wilted and died a few days later. Received refund for two. Working on refund for other two. Reordered —we'll see how this one goes.
They are all here. They all look great I haven't planted them yet. Making someone put in 100 characters on a review is ridiculous!
I bought a Korean Fir for my Granddaughter who just bought her first home.
She sent me pictures of it, wow! What a poor example of a pricey Korean Fir! I contacted customer service to no avail. They finally sent me an email today stating that I could return the tree at my expense and they would make a determination whether they would refund me or not. Yeah right. They sent this junky looking tree out in the first place, why would they ever refund me for it? I do not recommend them for anything.
I ordered red twig dogwoods and rhododendron from the Tree Center. Every one was pot bound and weed/moss infested!
The pink dazzle crepe myrtle plants were beautiful, where as the white dazzle plants were very brittle and many tiny limbs were in the box. I hope they live.
DO NOT purchase anything from this company. I just received my order today (part of it anyway) and every single plant I ordered has holes in every leaf. I reached out to customer service, this was their reply verbatim:
TL:DR: I was sent plants that were literally diseased from the get go. They knowingly sent them to me and then have not only denied even a replacement, but have gone so far as to try and tell me how to treat the plants. The ones they sent me. That were diseased (photos attached).
Thank you for those photos! I'm happy to say that this is not insect damage. From the photos sent so far, it does appear to be a minor case of Shot Hole. Below I will leave some information on how to go about combatting this.
"Shot hole is a common bacterial disease on 'Otto Luyken', 'Zabal' and 'Schip' laurel plants. The disease's name is descriptive of the symptoms: it looks like someone shot the shrub with a shotgun!
Wet leaves seem to make the disease worse, so make sure not to water your plants from overhead. If your shrubs are very close together or near a wall that prevents leaf drying, prune them to enhance air flow.
The fungicide/bactericide Mancozeb or products containing fixed copper are effective against Shot Hole if you choose to spray a pesticide."
Ultimately this condition is purely cosmetic as it does not affect the health of your plants and is fairly easily gotten rid as long as the effected leaves are removed and the plants are not watered from overhead.
While we are unable to replace these plants, I certainly understand the disappointment and would like to offer a credit worth 15% of your affected order total for a future order should you choose to place one
The 6' Thuja Green Giant arrived in nice packaging. Very healthy looking and easy to plant.
Liked the root stimulator that was included too.
The 2 trees I paid nearly $300 for are merely twigs about the thickness of a pencil. I called and left a message as well as sent an email
No call back just an email that said basically I got what I ordered and I could pay to return them but no refund. Just a store credit. These might be considered trees in 10 years. I'm turning them into VISA and Meta for fraud to get me money back.
When I opened the box and took the tree out the leaves were all curled up and some of the leaves were eaten by insects then I noticed a leaf with something fuzzy in it with tiny black eggs the tree cost $119.and return shipping was$109.plus tax so buyers beware
The 'Tree Center', located in Maryland, sends dead and dying trees to customers, and any customer service is almost nonexistent and requires long waits.
I received my tree, 8 lemons were in the box (one still attached) and a spilled bottle of neem oil!
Waxleaf Privets arrived quickly, healthy and ready for planting. They are beautiful! Thanks so much.
Second time doing business! Best varieties to choose from…….quality condition upon arrival! My yard is thriving with trees everywhere! Can't wait for maturity should be awesome!
Ordered 10 Italian Cypress trees. Quoted size was incorrect, trees came in cardboard box bent, damages etc. 5 of the 10 died once planted and they refuse to replace. GO ELSEWHERE
Plants received in great shape as usual! Thank-you Tree Center! Will definitely be back to buy more!
I ordered multiple Patriot blueberry bushes from Tree Center. The next day, and before the order was shipped, I found the same bushes for less than half the price at Lowes. However, Tree Center is not open on the weekend so I submitted a ticket and called first thing on Monday morning. However, they will not cancel an order without a 20% fee even before shipping. I understand charging a fee once it has been shipped but otherwise this is poor customer service. There is no way I will be using this site again.
After ordering and being charged for my order, called as no shipping confirm was received. Informed another week to ship and when I wanted to cancelled was told they would be charging a 20% restocking charge.
Answer: Do you have avocado trees in any of these varieties? Bacon Brogden Fuerte May Winter Mexican
Answer: They had the tree that I was looking for. Packaged perfectly. Quick ship. Beautiful, healthy and green. Even came with Christmas wrap on the pot. Nice touch. I was very pleased.
Answer: Never tried to get hold of customer service I've had no need to.
Answer: Hello! The 3 gallon Skip Laurels are going to be about 2-3 feet tall, and the 5 gallons are going to be about 3-4 feet tall. You will want to plant these between 2 to 3 feet apart, so, if you have a 20 foot wall, you'll need between 7-10 plants to suffice that space. Hope that helps!
