Good points: easy to search flight and Hotels. Easy payment system.
Inconvenience: Sometime, ticket issuance takes too long, especially during weekends/off hours most probably due to regional Airlines do not work out of office hour. Had to cancel the issuance through Trip.com as Passenger needs that ticket prior boarding his first-flight of the trip as required by the regulations of entry point. We had to buy from alternate Agency (to get the ticket immediately.)
The reviews and prices for hotel reservations are great and very accurate. The prices are very good. This is true for almost any region in the world.

From searching to finding great deals, this is easy peasy. It so simple, even for a old fart. Payments are easy to do, once booked, your are updated all the time. Flight changes are a little bit scary, but I booked for 4 months at My destination, a extra day or a day early does not worry me. Just do it. You will enjoy the journey

I traveled to Hong Kong to visit my sister for Christmas. Wanted to travel to China and see the country side. She told me to download trip.com and I laughed. Why? I checked all my other travel apps and no train icon button. Trip.com has the train button and bought my tickets and hotel. Now I'm lost here in rural China that serves really spicy food and I don't speak their language. Happy travels!

Hotel was not honest with advertisement, so I cancelled my booking.
I requested a full refund but they charge a cancellation fee.

I wanted to amend my hotel booking and the hotel was fine with making the change, yet booking.com would not allow it to happen. They did not contact the hotel to ask them if they approved the change and instead they unilaterally rejected the change, against the hotel's wishes - and of course mine. I contacted customer service to fix this and they told me that they would email within 24 hours. They did not email. I called again and the person had no record of my case or just didnt bother consulting the record. Once I had repeated the problem at length they said they would fix the problem and contact me within two hours. They didnt contact me. They finally admitted defeat and offered me some 'trip coins' to be used for future bookings on their platform, which is completely ridiculous. Why would I use this platform ever again? I should never have deviated from using booking.com. I will never use this platform against and will actively tell everyone I know never to use it. They kept trying to blame one of their workers, who they said went rogue and didnt do what they were told. This sort of blame game is pathetic. It is your platform that I booked this hotel on and if your internal systems are awful that is your fault. I cannot believe that a booking platform refuses to amend a booking even when a customer and the hotel both want the change to happen. How hard is it is to press the 'yes button? If the answer is 'impossible' then this business needs to take a serious look at their processes. Unbelievable. This is both a customer service problem - you tried to blame other unspecified companies and repeatedly didnt get back to me and then offered me 'trip coins' to add insult to injury - and maybe there are also deeper structural problems with this business.

The prices offered by Trip.com are hit and miss. It used to be the best among the reputable portals, especially for hotels in China and Hong Kong. Now the prices are consistently higher.
The perks offered are not top notch neither. I have 2 airline lounge passes declined by the lounge stating that the relationship with the supplier has ended. We were not notified and left standing there like fools. How embarrassing.
If no improvements can be detected, I may not be using Trip.com much longer.

When you use many of the booking sites you aren't actually dealing with them, you get punted to one of the many travel sites to book. You could even get sent to Trip.
In most instances Trip has prices and options as good or better than most aggregators, and you're actually dealing with Trip.

The only issue I have with your app is when you put in a request for a desired flight price and ask for a email when that price is available you receive an email stating your desired price has been reached but when you open that email the desired price is still not there and I don't understand why
This has happened to me on numerous occasions now and it's rather annoying
Why bother putting in a request if it's not going to match the request you have asked for
The latest example is a flight from Bali to Perth
I requested on the 26 January at a price of $132 or lower
I received the email saying the price I requested was available but when I opened the email the cheapest price was $177 even though it stated on the email $132

Answer: Do not book with them. If anything happens and you need to modify your booking they will not help you. They have canceled people's bookings at the last minute as well. This company is all about the money. Once they have your payment they are done with you. DO NOT book travel arrangements with them. Read the reviews and I'm speaking from experience. The price is good but if anything happens they will take your money and will not help you.
