I bought stuff and never got my stuff they took my money this web site is scams Im in the process of getting my money back never again will I ever order I left messages never got back to me
I purchased a Navy Veteran cap from VetFriends in October 2017 and received the cap within a couple weeks of ordering. It is one FINE cap in Looks, Construction, Fit and Comfort--took no wear-in time to be very comfortable. I've had many comments on the cap and would not hesitate to order again from VetFriends. Thanx...
The Photos for Air Force from 632nd Combat Support, Binh Thuy AB, Vietnam are mine, but they are using them even after I stopped my membership, without even crediting my name. I should have read closer.
From their Membership agreement: "Personal Information and Submissions: By submitting your personal, reunion and related information to us, you are thereby granting to Vet Friends a royalty-free, worldwide, nonterminable, exclusive license to use this information and your exact words (and excerpts and edited versions of your submissions) in all media now known or hereinafter developed, and in promotions, and to sublicense and transfer this right to third parties, and you waive all claims against Vet Friends for any violations of copyright, rights of privacy, publicity, and defamation or other personal torts arising from Vet Friends' use of the information in such media. After reading the review here I believe that they are not honorable people, and are ripping off the very people that support them. Not Good!
I ordered a C-130 Air Force Cap on September 8,2017, September 23,2017 still no cap. Will not answer telephone, it says "leave message" but don't hold your breath.! Sent 2 emails, they said give them 2 business days. Well, that's long past. So at this point, made a complaint to Better Business Bureau in Columbia. Now lets see if they get back to me. End result.? If you don't want to end up like me, and you are a veteran, spend your hard earned cash with a company who cares for you. I think I just lost my money. They are well "cloaked."
Save your time and energy by not dealing with this company. Even after a customer cancels an order the same day, they (so called Vet "Friends") immediately charge your credit card. Then they send you an e-mail that states in part "if you have an issue with this order, contact our administrator", but they don't provide an e-mail address, nor a telephone number (apparently they expect you to research that on your own time). They also don't return telephone voice messages. Because they ignore all my attempts to discuss my order, I started a "charge dispute" through my credit card.
My Veteran father noticed a boonie hat they had, no doubt through an ad on Facebook. So I ordered it for him. Wr opted to pay the extra $6 for fast 2-3 day shipping offered when purchasing. A week later we still have no hat delivered and only a vaguely worded email receipt of initial purchase. After emailing them, and waiting 3 days for a response, they stated " You will receive an email from Stamps.com with tracking information once the order ships. Our shipping policy is 3-5 business days to be shipped out to you from the day of your purchase. All orders are dependent on availability at the time of purchase. Since the majority of our stock is available the day you order we charge upon ordering. There are times when multiple customers will order the same item on the same day and then availability becomes an issue with inventory. In that case, we work the orders from oldest to newest and do our best to fill all order in a timely fashion. We do apologize for the inconvenience." To which I replied that was nice of them to respond but we paid extra for fast shipping, and we still weren't told when we would get the item. Fast forward two WEEKS later and we still have yet to receive the item.
Please do not spend your money here when there are many REPUTABLE veteran owned companies to choose from.
I placed an oder for dog tags i received a pair but they weren't mine someone's else's they took the money and ran cause they never corrected the oder to this date no item WTF is wrong with these people
I placed an order on 7 May. I was charged immediately, but wasn't notified until almost a week later that they no longer carried the product. I was given store credit instead of offering a refund, but after some fuss was told that I would be given a full refund in 7-10 business days. It is now 14 June and I have seen nothing. Apparently they will only communicate via email, as I have been directed every time I have called and now when I look up the order it says completed?! How can it be completed with no product and no refund?!
Placed an order... they charged my account immediately. I have never received the order. Sent two e-mails and made three phone calls neither of which do they answer. Plan to advise BBB and write my congressman about this rip off organization that claims to "friend vets".
They claim orders are shipped within 3-5 business days which isn't true! When you contact them they don't respond in 2 business days like they claim! They take your money out of your account in a matter of minutes and then nothing, no response, and no product! It's a scam!
I had a problem with VetFriends but it got resolved and I appreciate their willingness to work with me to resolve the problem. Thank You VetFriends.
With there latest email promotion: Caveman survival guide "100% FREE" is honestly $4.95 and the book is all about Doomsday Prepping. This website is no help to tracking down long lost service members unless you pay a steep membership fee. How it got A+ rating with BBB with 6 neg. And 2 pos. Reviews, is beyond me.
As with any site, always start with the Privacy Policy. These guys are especially bad. See for yourself:
VetFriends is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. VetFriends collects information from our users at several different points on our website.
In general, VetFriends retains the right to rent or sell member information.
The Better Business Bureau SELLS the A+ rating; it is not an indication of the quality of the business. Check it out, any company can get that rating if they join the BBB and pay an extra fee for the sticker. I don't trust the BBB any more than I trust a cobra.
Answer: Al, Our shipping policy is to ship orders 3-5 days after receiving the order. If you ordered something like the dog tags, those take about 10 business days before we ship them due to the customization process. Please give us a call at 800-975-1618 and one of our agents will be able to assist you better.
Answer: No, that is not a problem. We do ask that you click the checkbox that confirms your military involvement. Also for our membership ID card, the service we use may be able to verify your status without the paperwork.
