Where do I begin as this list is lengthy.

We signed up with Wedding Wire/The Knot a bit over a year ago and hoped it would be a good fit, however, we were incredibly disappointed. Over the course of the year, the price per month went up and the "leads" that came through were either a scam, phony accounts, or people that were not properly screened.

The experience just went downhill from there. We had a bad experience with a customer in June 2022 for who we eventually had to obtain a restraining order on over a $400 chair order as this person stalked, harassed, and verbally abused us and our staff with religious and racial comments, telling my partner to "go back where you came from, you terrorist", called him the "n" word, created fake profiles and email addresses and left negative review after negative review to the point we had to seek legal assistance.

Wedding Wire's response to all of this was to shut down our account. Their customer service is just abhorrent. They promote and encourage racial discrimination and will do nothing whatsoever to support their vendors, they simply just ignore you and cut ties versus doing something to combat the behavior of an unruly customer.

Furthermore, their leads are suspect and they will do nothing whatsoever to investigate a bad review as legitimate or not. Their go to response is to ignore you in the hopes eventually you will just go away.

I will never, EVER do business with this company again and unfortunately they are in the wedding business. Yet, there are many other avenues to advertise out there and I would run from this one as fast as I can if you are a vendor seeking to grow your business. It is a bad investment to say the least and I have never seen such poor treatment to vendors in my life.

Fake leads. This is a fraudulent business.

I confirm what everyone else is saying about WeddingWire / Knot being a scam providing fake leads. How do I know this? Anyone that has contacted me has never replied to my messages and when I told WeddingWire I never get a response, magically some more leads would come in after but they were fake as well. Additionally, I track website referral traffic to see if I get traffic that converts to a paying customer. You guessed it, nothing. This whole company is a scam and should be shut down by authorities.

When I try to cancel the agreement, they fight tooth and nail to keep stealing my money. They say they do not guarantee leads or bookings and therefore it's ok to pay WW the privilege to be on their website with no return on investment and sending you fake leads. During the sales process, they'll talk about all the traffic you'll get and show other customers that have high conversion rates. I started in December and was told December - February is the highest activity on their website. What did I get with the highest activity? Fake leads and no response from any customer inquiries. You pay $400+ a month for this. I pay half that on social media a month and get 7+ REAL leads per day that CONVERT because people love the business and past customers and planners recommend my business.

This is a scam with fake leads that charge hard-working, small businesses with small margins. It's disgusting and shameful. The authorities need to shut down WW.

Vendors Beware of this Company

Through a pandemic, and now almost 10 years later I have paid this company $14.400 and did not have a return on my investment. In my category of cakes I realized that there are 97 total "companies" listed. What i consider to be a bakery is an actual storefront. Not home bakers. Out of 97 there are 57+ companies that are listed that list no address. So how do they consider themselves a company servings bakeries but are not official bakeries. So pre-covid I was paying $110 per month and then increased to $175 without my knowledge or some sort of notification, they call it a renewal. However, a renewal all the terms of the contract stay the same including the price unless notified-right? Nope there excuse is its on your dashboard...NOT ACCEPTABLE. I questioned this and that was my account executives response. I won many couples choice awards, however you have to pay $60+ dollars to get an official plaque. In order to win you need (5) reviews by clients, I received (3), not five and know that it was due to my renewal coming up. Once I made my complaints knows I got an influx of inquiries by potential clients, ALL GARBAGE. Not one out of the 20+ did any person get back and respond. In the past few years I have received several spam inquiries leading you along and then asking for personal information or wanting to add services and see if I took cheques. Their vetting process stinks. If you click on a vendor you are interested in I would get an email, but then the next day wedding wire would send three potential other vendors of the same category and email to contact them. NOT ACCEPTABLE. So the first page of vendors I was on that page, paid for it but the next six pages were all unpaid bakers, these people were "FREE" and did not have to pay monthly and they could list their starting price less than someone that actually is a professional and pays out the A** to be listed. I tried to cancel at the time and could not as my account executive said you cant cancel before the date.
I did cancel my account yesterday and she asked were there any reasons? I said many reasons and Hannah did not even take the time to ask why? Some executive who really cares.
Wedding wire is the one that will get your SEO, you are not getting any of the benefit of that so its taking your money, very little return and throwing it out the window!

Their customer service and their billing department don't know what they're talking about. After giving them notice that this was our last month using their services they didn't listen and kept billing me for additional months. Totally unprofessional and I would not recommend them to anyone

Wedding Wire - SCAM, LIARS, MONEY RIP OFF!

GO, GIVE THOSE SCAMMERS-LIARS YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!
Wedding Wire doesn't care about you or your business, everything they want - just to rip you off.
I've been a full time photographer for 10+ years, used to work with magazines and European customers. I paid about $1000 for the year subscription and got ZERO real leads from Wedding Wire for the whole year. All I got, just 2-3 messages/calls where the person insisted me to give him my legal first and last name to send me checks, because "he wants to pay for a photographer now as a gift for his sister's wedding, but currently he's in Mexico and his secretary will send a check...bla bla..." More over, Wedding Wire representative keeps calling me every week all the time after year subscription got expired and I cancelled it. Also, I'm getting annoying emails from reps to continue subscription, and I keep blocking them. Also reps guaranteed me while signing me up, that 3000 brides looking into their photo-pages per day! What? And I got ZERO leads with my spectacular portfolio? Complete SCAM! LIARS! HAVE PROMISED LOTS OF LEADS WITHIN THE YEAR - GOT NOTHING for $1000!

They don't even look at fake leads they copy/paste to their vendors. In Julia Nikonchuk Photography I got lead as "we are looking for officiant minister..." Also, observe a date "July 02,1206"

Look into all screenshots, similar fake emails as "jennifersmith23@"

I had a free account and had a rep keep contacting lots to upgrade my account he offered me 50% off discount but had to pay the full year upfront now its been 2 months in and 0 leads or jobs but I did have 2 scam leads and 1 they never answer...been sending a bunch of emails and calls ( left a message) but now they have my $$$$ they dont want to return my messages or a phone call.
All I want is a return on my investment like they promised but looks like this is a scam...so if you are thinking of joining WeddingWire dont turn around and run fast...SCAM>>SCAM>>SCAM>>SCAM>>

Stay away, especially Lissa Bouldin, as soon as you sign the document you're done. Please make sure you try their work before committing. I sign a 12 months and they never helped. Now I owe monthly. Shortly, as soon as you sign documents, then it's their next job to get new customers.

They were super friendly before I signed, and left me out cold once I handed over my credit card. What's even worse is that I was in the hospital twice this month and remain super sick and asked for a pause in my account due to illness and my so-called account manager wrote a one-word sentence saying "hope you recover quickly but you signed a one-year contract" I'm going to cancel my credit card just to get rid of this nonsense scheme taking advantage of vendors struggling in this post-pandemic world. Bye Wedding Wire!

My family and I hosted an Art Gala for my mother Deborah Johnson who passed in March of 2022. The Wedding and Events Coordinator, Michael Haymaker at The Wayside Inn & Larrick's Tavern is a must have for any bride or event host. Michael, who is now family, left no stone unturned. Every flower, every linen, every glass, every item was inspected and approved by Michael. Michael and his staff accommodated each guest with service, food, grace and elegance. The Wayside Inn & Larrick's Tavern will be in our hearts forever and so will Michael.

Every lead I received has been FAKE! I've called all of them to provide more information & was told they never inquired… keep in mind I offer a very specific service, so they'd remember inquiring! * (account manager) is RUDE; when I attempted to call to be possibly connected to her I was told she was unavailable but received an email from her 5-10 minutes later telling me to "get on her calendar" which didn't have any availability for the next 6 days! When I asked to speak with a new account manager she lied to me saying that there was no one else I could talk to! A WASTE OF MONEY & A SCAM!
It's a company expensive company that'll call 100x a day to tell you to sign the contract, but can't be contacted outside of emails for any issues you're experiencing!
The only department that was helpful so far was the billing department!

BEWARE VENDORS- SCAM
January 24, 2023

Called to inquire about a vendor listing at the end of June 2022. Rep calls right away and promises you so many leads. I activated our site on my end in July 2022 but didn't want to pay for a subscription until I could test the waters so they say max 3 months and all unpaid subscriptions will have their site live- by December it wasn't live yet. Mackenna said they were very busy and it would be up when they could get to it. I emailed WeddingWire twice in Dec of 2022 and no one even responded to me. I emailed Mackenna- no response. I emailed her AGAIN and just finally said don't bother even making it live. Don't bother responding to this post, either, because it's a fake response AND YOU NEVER EMAILED ME BACK WHEN YOU HAD THE CHANCE TO. Don't waste your money as a vendor- SCAM.

Disappointing

If clients knew how much they charge their vendors to use this platform they wouldn't book with them. They charge an arm and a leg. I'm just disappointed with the time & leading up with false information.

Scam

I agreed to an almost $4k contract (my mistake) and ended up moving to a different city mid way through the year, well they tell me that my new price is 9k due to going to a denser area. What!?! And of course they wont let me cancel. So i ask to cancel for next year after my contract ends. This is what i get back "Our operations team who processes our cancellations actually do not accept cancellation requests until the month in advance of your renewal date (the last month of service with us). Please be advised that if we do not receive this notice between that timeframe, your account will auto-renew as outlined in our terms." Trying by all means necessary to make it as difficult to cancel their sketchy service as possible. Laughable.

Wedding Cake

Gina skeleton is one talented,badass cake designer. Not only are her cakes delicious, they are also very moist,light,airy,very creative, and affordable. She does any design and flavor you want for any kind of event. She made my husband and my wedding, our gender reveal for our baby boy, and our friends' birthday cake. The flavors she brings to the cakes are just amazing. We did a cake tasting with her prior to our wedding, she was spot on with each cake flavor we asked her for us to try so we could decide. She is just an absolute joy to work. She is so dedicated to her work and you can see it in the thought and effort she puts into making the cake of your dreams. Thank you Gina for everything you have done for us. We will continue working with you on future cakes.

This is a scam

This platform gave me no leads, when complaining about it, I received a bogus lead that didn't reply and another that was marked as spam. After contacting them for 3 weeks trying to be removed, there is slow and no response. Do not waste your time and money on this platform. They are happy to take your money as a customer but when you have a complaint, there is no one in sight to help and they keep drawing from your bank account. Terrible for small businesses where every dollar counts.

SCAM! DO NOT SIGN UP!

Read all of the honest vendor reviews. It's true, this company doesn't care about you or your business. I've been a full time photographer for 10 years and moved states so lost all of my clients. I get 100% more clients from word of mouth than wedding wire... Yeah that's right, I don't have any bookings from here... Wedding wire is full of false promises and lies and it's a waste of money and time... 10/10 don't recommend. You can't get out of your 12 month contract even if there are medical reasons and you can't accept any bookings.

For future customers please please be aware ofnthe shaming bussinesss this platform supports and advertise. They do not support their customers nor do they have any follow ups on bussiness that poorly handled they customers. They will remove you negative reviews to protect their platform. You are better off going through another platform that stands for integrity and true customer services.

This venue was perfect for our son's wedding. David and Lisa are so easy to work with. It rained so the ceremony was inside…it was still perfect! The fire in the outdoor area added a cozy ambiance. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone!
