The WSJ is so confused about walking the line between reality and its right-wing base that it chooses falsehood and the promotion of the philosophies of fascism and dystopia to attempt tp keep its readership?... when they are looking for the rudder the WSJ used to be... the cancer has spread at the WSJ, they are all compromised, what a joke. We just want financial news, aholes and $#*!s.
So you are all now Trumpsters at the Wall Street Journal by publishing a letter from the FORMER President that is filled with lies, untruths and wild conspiracy theories and now you expect me to trust you with money decisions? Go to hell Wall Street Journal. I've read your last publication and will not be reading anything you ever publish again since you support one of the biggest and dangerous pathologically liars ever to exist on the American Political Scene.
If I could, I would rate them a 0. I canceled my membership months ago and received a charge for almost $40 this month. Turns out the customer service rep failed to turn off "auto-renewal" when canceling my membership. I just spoke with a customer service rep that ensured that auto renewal is now turned off, but they will not give me a refund for a subscription that I have not used in months. SMH.
Very shady of WSJ - you can enroll in a subscription online with just a few clicks but you have to call customer service to cancel the subscription. Its such a pain to call customer service and update your digital roadmap to have better self-service! Greedy approach to just offer self-service when you make money but not when you lose money.
If you can't trust the news not to steal from you, is there hope for journalism. WSJ has no online way to cancel subscriptions you never consented for. It took me over 30 minutes and three phone calls to get a subscription I never ordered cancelled. I had to speak with 3 different people. Shady and unacceptable.
Boring content so I go online to try to cancel my subscription but there is no way to cancel online! I go to the online chat section where there is a help button for cancellation, but when I click that it says they can't help and that I have to call! So I call, but the message says "outside of normal business hours". WSJ is a lame scam. I'll just do a credit card chargeback instead. Avoid WSJ. Besides, the content is boring AF.
Terrible customer service and truly the worst delivery service I've had for a paperer anything else!
I wish I could give them 0 stars. I am a college student and had to get this for my class. Luckily it was free for a couple of months but afterwards I started having to pay a good $40. I called many different times trying to cancel after my class was finished. They would keep me on the phone for nearly an hour each time just saying that they were going to change my subscription instead of canceling. It was so frustrating and I did not have the money for it. It's been a year since I first had to sign up for it and my dad finally had to call for me because they wouldn't listen to me no matter how firm I was being. This was the most frustrating thing to deal with and I ended up spending more than $100 on something that I did not touch after March 2020. The customer service reps must work on commission. Completely unfair and such a scam of a website. The only way to cancel is by calling so be careful when subscribing.
The product itself was good 4 stars. The part that disappointed me was how difficult it was to navigate between all the different subscription offers. I settled on the three months for a buck figuring at the end I will get a year if the product is good. I missed my deadline and was charged $43 a month for two months. Their customer service is so poor, by the time my subscription was canceled Id been billed for a third month. So $130 when a full year is offered at $67.60... But that's only for NEW customers!
Do NOT subscribe because although they say you can cancel at any time, it is almost impossible. There is no way to cancel other than via phone and they just ignore the calls. I have waited more than 2 hours (55 minutes being the longest) trying to cancel only to be charged for another month because I can't get through. Really surprised that a company with the Journal's reputation would be like this.
WSJ has been supporting Republicans without any journalistic analysis. Agreed to publish dirt on Biden's son, suggesting paying some high-income households 2000USD does not make sense, so the whole support should be stopped and many more articles that do to make sense.
Moreover, stopping the subscription is made as hard as possible. The only way to cancel is by calling a telephone number. I had to call the US from Switzerland and have been on the line for 30 minutes.
It's been a month I am still waiting my refund. I called 3 times and I have been told 3 times that we will refund your money and call you back in 1 hour. But no luck

I signed up in response to a 'deal' in 2017, and found out after I signed up how much it actually will cost. I tried to cancel it according to the guidelines, but they did not accept them. Over the next 2 years, I found out it was the Wall Street Journal that continued to bill me over $40 a month, and they were using an email address connected to my account that did not exist - it was a typo! Now that this has officially been figured out, they refuse to refund me even close to a quarter amount of the money they took from me, using a false email!
People be careful about this online journal. They attract customers with lower subscription price snd then increase the price without any notice. This is kind of a trap! You will not be able to unsubscribe online or via an automated system as the automated system will not recognize your account. They are a fraud company!
Your a joke I would like to be there when somebody ask what you do for a living I'm a journalist for Wall Street Journal and watch the people bust out laughing I wished you was here and listen to me laughing what a joke but appreciate the laugh.
Customer service was absolutely horrid to deal with. I called and spoke to Joshua at approximately 4:40 PM EST. I informed him that I wanted to cancel my subscription.
Instead, he informed me that WSJ does not cancel subscriptions; that he could only change my date of 'subscription renewal'. I told him to stop giving me the runaround, but her persisted to not help me and, instead give me the option to either continue my subscription or possibly change to another subscription type. This phone call went on like this for 20 minutes back and forth. I asked for his name so that I could report him and he would not give me this at first either. Afterward, he told me there was a survey at the end of the call which I was going to stay on the line for, but he hung up the phone on me immediately after to not get a bad review.
Joshua was absolutely terrible. I called back the customer service number and informed the lady of my needs and she helped me cancel my subscription immediately.
One of the $#*!tiest service. They do not cancel the account within time and force the customer to pay for an additional month and hide behind their contract agreement when asked for. They are worse than shark lenders who is supposed to maintain basic ethics in business.
My wife had some work published in The Wall Street Journal, and wanted to see the layout. The WSJ offers a 3 month subscription for $1, so she thought she'd just cancel immediately after seeing her article.
Turns out there is no way of cancelling a subscription online, so she emailed customer support. When they didn't reply, she followed up.
Exactly 3 months after the subscription was made, she received an email from them saying that to cancel a subscription - you had to call them on the phone. This email came on the same day they charged our card, so was obviously deliberately timed as such.
We have called the bank, who have informed us that we have to cancel the debit card, and get a new one, as they are unable to block a specific company from taking any funds from the card. Super inconvenient.
Upon doing further research and reading anecdotal accounts on Reddit - it turns out this is standard practice and in fact part of their business model.
Some people on Reddit even suggested changing the billing details to a California address, as this brings up a subscription cancelation option - meaning that they were legally required to provide this service in the state of California. Meaning that it's not a "security issue" like they try to suggest it is.
This means that Dow Jones, The Wall Street Journal is knowingly and willingly acting in bad faith.
I'm appalled by how such a "reputable" news company makes it almost impossible to unsubscribe. It's as if they don't even trust that their journalism is good enough to keep their customer base. To be fair, I do enjoy the articles, and think that the quality of writing is good.
But for someone who wants to unsubscribe, they don't even mask the fact that you have to call them - within certain hours of the day, with some international number. What day and age is this? Even small shoddy companies allow an email at least to unsubscribe. This has really ticked me off. I will never ever recommend this paper with such low blow tactics to keep customers. If I can't get through to them again, I'm just going to call my credit card company and block these scammers.
IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION. THERE IS NO OPTIONS ONLINE TO DO SO AND THEY MADE ME CALL FROM BRAZIL JUST TO GET IT DONE. IT WAS AN EXTREMELY AND UNNECESSARILY HARD PROCESS AND I WARN ALL OF THOSE WHO ARE CONSIDERING SUBSCRIBING TO BE AWARE OF THAT.
