I highly recommend A Place for Mom for anyone - especially those in the "sandwich generation" dealing with young children AND retiree parents - looking to help an elderly loved one relocate. My advocate was always in contact with me and helped immensely with identifying quality places within budget as well as scheduling tours and follow-up needs. The service offers great moving and caregiver tips and is staffed by friendly and knowledgeable individuals.

A place for mom made it easy to find a new home for my mom, made tour arrangements and followed up with us to see if everything went well.

We moved our dad from Jacksonville to Habersham Manir in Savannah. A Place for mom was with us all along the way. It took almost a year and a half to get everything we needed completed and A Place for Mom never hesitated to help and stayed in instant communication and unfailing assistance.

From day one they were really helpful with great communication and getting us in contact with the right homes. The only thing I had to do was call up the places before the walk through to verify if they have a memory care unit and take Medicare/Medicaid. That helped save time if they didn't have those things. All in all I couldn't have done it without them.

I contacted " A place for Mom " when I found the organization on a search for affordable Senior housing. They were very prompt in reaching out, listening to my circumstance, and giving me advise and 4 options to look at. I found one option to be affordable and a good fit for my brother.

Got placed in a very expensive place. And they don't have the things that i needed. They put me in a room with a dementia patient who is up all night.

A Place for Mom sent me to two different sorts of places. One was not suitable and also way out of my needed territory. The other one, Holiday by Atria in Lenox, MA, was almost ideal. I spent five months there experiencing the possibilities of the place and seeing various suites until I was sure it was exactly what I wanted. Then I filed an application and competed the process and began my moving in adventure.

We were lucky that we found a home for my brother n law on the very first tour that we took. Everyone was friendly and easy to get in touch with. Was an easy discovery. We appreciated the service to find this wonderful assisted living place

Kara has helped me from day one with my father-in-law's changing needs. She contacts me periodically to see how things are going, and has been great! When I first reached out, they set up facility visits for me, gave me financial information, and contact people. And that's really what I needed!

Representatives took a lot of time helping to find the best home and were very professional and knowledgeable. They gave us a lot of choices to consider and answered all our questions and concerns. I would recommend A Place for Mom to anyone searching for a suitable home for their loved one and their specific needs.

Following a dramatic increase in hospitalization, we needed to move my mother to a closer Assisted Living facility. Alycia quickly researched the area around us for what we were looking for based on a short conversation about our needs, and within a day had appointments at 3 facilities, with a couple of backups that we did not even need. Alycia helped organize visits to each and even provided some questions to ask and build on. Within a week, we had a new place for mom secured and moved her closer to us and the facility is fantastic! A HUGE THANK YOU to A Place For Mom, it took so much of the work off our shoulders!

My agent/Cheryl was very courteous with her calls to me. She listened to what I said and understood my financial and medical needs. I now consider her a friend and could call her back anytime with any problems I might have. Thank you for your help.

The woman I dealt with was very nice. She recommended a facility for my very elderly parents that seemed wonderful. Unfortunately by the time I could get my mother just medically approved by the evil Arizona Long Term don't-Care people and put them there the service has been good one day and had the next. Maybe there aren't any decent places for seniors who aren't rich.

While I really appreciated the responsiveness and the help getting my mom placed so quickly (especially around a holiday week) my liaison misguided me to a location that does not in fact take Medicaid like I stated as a criteria. She also didn't take ownership of the mistake when I tried to talk to her about my financial concerns now.

I didn't know where to start when I started looking for assisted living for my mother. They were able to sort out her needs to point me to the right place. They are so informative. I'm glad I went through them.

I started looking at places for my father in law but got quickly overwhelmed. Then I found A Place for Mom. They make the whole experience so much easier and shared resources with me that I had no idea were even available, such as a VA housing allowance (that's not the name of it, but that is essentially what it is). We just moved our mom into assisted living. A Place For Mom introduced us to a facility that I wasn't familiar with, but turned out to be a perfect fit. I highly recommend utilizing this service.
