What's wrong with Xfinity
February 24, 2024

Xfinity keeps adding TV channels that are from the pliestocine. Xfinity has now stated charging for a high number of "On Demand" movies. Xfinity stinks I am checking around for a new provider.

Worst experience!

My company relocated me from Tennessee to Florida. My new residence provides cable and internet with my rent. I do not have a choice (they do not use XFinity). I was charged an early termination fee and would not waive under NO circumstances. $150.00. Not happy!1

It took me 10 hours today to talk to someone who had any decision making power. They had an attitude, ignored what I had to say, and made vague responses to dance around the reality of their cheapskate, terrible company.
An outage on my last day of grad school for an expensive class I had worked hard in, on a day I had off work and had paid hundreds for childcare to complete the class. Had I known a few days at least in advance I could have rearranged everything to complete the class the day before. Instead I woke up to no internet.
In person, at the Comcast/Xifinity store the employees were a gathering of men who appeared to be stoned out of their minds. In person this company has 2 objectives: collect money or sell things. They use a mocking tone with multiple payrons who were by no means rude or uncompromising and one employee appeared to be so high a large laptop slipped put of his hands and fell onto the floor.
On the phone, the line either rings, goes to music, and then hangs up, or you get someone who can hardly interpret an American accent because they are underpaid in a different country. They also have no decision making power.
By the time you get an American, they essentially breezily act like it's no big deal that a service you paid for screwed you over on the one day of the year you needed it the most. They also pull a bunch of sarcastically articulated pretend active listening bs that screams 'I am useless and do not care about you.'
This company will punish you for paying for their service at every opportunity. If other internet providers are in your area, go with them.

Horrible

We signed up for xfinity's services because we was about to move to tavares. Thats when my son was born and due to complications he died didnt end up getting that house due to the death of our son and the distress of the situation. Found another house in deland afterward and xfinity services are not usable in that location. Even though we was in a bad situation and we explained it to them they still made us pay over two hundred dollars for the cancelation of service. We will never use xfinity's services ever again. Go Get $#*!ed XFINITY.

If you can, choose to do business with anyone else. They do not keep their word on pricing and do not do what they say they will do like "calling back"
I have spent hours on the phone trying to set up internet and phone service with them. Terrible…!

MOST FRUSTRATING COMPANY

Visited Tukwila, WA store 2/16/24
Once again, trying to get through, resolve issue online, speak to a human, or have a human at your Tukwila store care enough... God forbid, she go above and beyond is the MOST frustrating experience(s) EVER.
Asked human female at store - WHY? WHAT IS THE COMPANY DOING ABOUT IT? Response:
1. We get a lot of these complaints 2. Can't retrieve more than 3 months' worth of past statements (?!) Why I asked..."I don't know" GRRRRR

Xfinity is the main internet provider in our area however, if they were not we would change in a minute. They are horrible overpriced, the customer service is terrible, and the quality of internet and cable is only so/so. This is not the forum to ask this but does anyone know of a different provider?

Xfinity use to be a good company. I have been with them for 25 plus years. Now their rates have skyrocketed and no loyalty for long term customers. Stay away from this company at all costs!

Xfinity is the worst

I hate this company. They are capitalistic hell scape. They charge exorbitant amounts for basic internet. My first plan for the year was $35 then they tried charging me $85 for the literal same exact plan. I finally got them to reduce it to $65 a year. Then after that year was up they charged me $112. They refuse to help or lower it in anyway unless I get a phone plan which absolutely not. Each year it's super frustrating! I hate them. I feel bad for their employees, who I'm sure they pay very little to, who just have to deal with people upset all the time! Right now they're one of the only internet companies that serve my building, but when I move soon, I'm never using them again.

Took over 1 hour to finally give up trying to reach anyone on the phone. Started a chat and tried for 20 minutes for the "live Agent" to schedule an xfinity call back... that will probably be over an hour from now when I am in a meeting and unable to speak to anyone. Billing is always wrong and very expensive since they have a monopoly in my area. I have disliked comcast for the past 20 plus years, just have no other reliable options since they buy out anyone that has an option. Customer Service are 2 words this company does not understand. When you finally try talking to someone - you are lucy to be able to understand every 3rd word they speak. Not even sure if they are in my home country

Phone Service

Do not get phone service from them they lied just to get me to sign up so they can get commission they took $446.00 off my card for my phone lines and my bill was only $222.00 so I called them they said they would credit it back yo my account and when I called them they said they couldn't credit it back they are some liars I should have stayed with metro pcs‼‼‼‼

False advertising.

Wanted basic local. Internet say they have the service for 20.00 per month. After almost two hours trying to get the basic service I gave up. All the wanted to do was to UPSALE and give excuses why you don't want local service. Even after asking for the manager I still got nothing but UPSALE, UPSALE. Gave up. Going elsewhere. Hope I can find an honest provider.

Make it impossible to talk to someone
Overcharge, and dont reward customers
The only reason this company has any success is because its the only one poor people can use. In order to get support from a huma, you have to go through 20 minutes of hurdles, and even then their support phone number still sends you a link to talk to a robot.

The only reason customer support is this $#*!e is because their focused on profit not product. Garbage humans enjoy being a metaphorical wet sock

After 15 plus years finally made the switch to Verizon. Xfinity long holds for customer service, service outages and CRAZY prices caused me to finally say "enough is enough". I actually feel like my breathing is better knowing I do not have to call customer service ever again at Comcast/Xfinity.
Better speed with Verizon and 1/3 the cost. Happy days

Price gouging

I've been an xfinity customer for over 5 years. Price I started at was $65 for unlimited, and last year it was raised to $80 without informing me any rates would be changing. I called, and they said this was because of the equipment I had, that I was now being charged for. Ok, fine. I was irritated, but I let it go. This year, I noticed my bill raised from $80 all the way to $116 without informing me beforehand. I called again— and it is ridiculously difficult to get someone on the line. The automated system seems built to run you around in circles! Finally, got someone on the line and after a long talk, they said I couldn't be refunded that extra price increase, but I could get a better deal at around $90 a month. I feel so over it— it feels sneaky, deceitful, and they have no loyalty to their long standing customers. Why gouge the price so high if you didn't even need to? If I could have been paying $90 a month instead of $116? Feels so shady. And after they sent me a new piece of equipment "free of charge" (which I have a sinking feeling I'll be charged for in another year), I've noticed my internet slower than before and around 2am each night it's been completely out. I'm frustrated. I'm over it. I'll be looking into other internet companies, because I sure as hell can't trust this one to be honest.

We have gotten the Internet since October, 2023 and they never discounted my service from the acp program and it was supposed to be 60 dollars a month they have been giving me a run around. I have called and complained to them 3 times to apply the code 3 times lqsq and i didn't receive my discount. So sinces Xfinity wanna be scamming people and raising prices. I'm go take my money else where.

This company stole money from me, canceled my service and then I can't get one person on the phone. If you love to deal with a computer that has very limited ability, that's what you'll get. This company will steal your money and never get an actual person to help with any issues you're having.

My experience has been nothing short of frustrating and embarrassing. They canceled my service after recieving a payment. They force you to leave a credit card on the account. Most Americans are struggling and don't have that option. This is Not for the people, it's against the people. I'm beyond dissatisfied. I wish I was still with Verizon. I never had connectivity issues and service interruptions with Verizon. I made a major mistake choosing Xfinity.
