Several times now I have tried to make an appointment, called the doctor's office and was told that Zocdoc wasn't working. I wanted to contact them, but they don't have a convenient way to do so. These doctors appear to have a lot of available slots, you make an appointment and then find out it's not working. The site has also become riddled with fake reviews, unfortunately. It would be nice if they made an effort to combat that and made sure that making appointments actually worked. It's great when you do get an appointment and it's not broken, but don't trust the reviews.
I went there because it advertised that it could help me find a mental health therapist that took my insurance. Guess what? The FIRST result of TWO, was WRONG! If I wanted to pay $300 out of pocket I wouldn't not have asked for a provider that accepted my insurance would I? So, I just wasted more of the time I didn't have on a crappy online system that lies. Also, do not try to contact them directly because what you get is a flipping address. You have to write a da*n letter to the people.
I have been changing the channel on your obnoxious commercials until today. I hope your company fails simply because of how much I hate those ads. What demographic are you looking for with this inane jingle? Unintelligible and absolutely irritating. I despise you.
Hello,
I had two appointments to one clinic and every time they refused to take care of me. THe first time they mixed up and forgot to cancel the reservation. The second time the doctor wasn't there.
I wasted ours because of Zendoc and clinic
Zocdoc will show maybe 3 doctors who will accept medicaid that are 45+ minutes away or they're next availability is MONTHS from now. Unless you want to spend an arm and a leg for someone to help you with your medical issues. All of this when you can ask around your area and find a doctor who accepts your insurance. Zocdoc is for people who arent struggling in life. But if you are, the people behind that website don't give a damn about you
WITHOUT DOCTORS, YOU WON'T HAVE A BUSINESS, BUT WITHOUT ZOCDOC, DOCTORS CAN STILL OPERATE! SO STOP CHARGING DOCTORS RIDICULOUS AMOUNTS FOR PATIENT APPOINTMENTS!
Terrible service. A week ago I found a specialist and made my appointment through ZOCDOC and they even sent me my appointment confirmation. Well, the day of the appointment, I discovered that I DID NOT HAVE AN APPOINTMENT MADE, the Dr's information was wrong...
I scheduled an appointment with a dr via Zocdoc. The appointment was set up. A couple days later I got an email telling me how to set up the virtual visit and how to log into the patient portal. Exactly 1 minute after the email was posted I received a voicemail (because I didn't hear the phone) telling me that the dr did not accept new patients and I would have to schedule with someone else. No where did it indicate that the doctor was not seeing new patients. While looking I found several doctors that stated they weren't accepting new patients, but it was not indicated by this doctor. I had made plans for the virtual visit. Not happy.
Zocdoc is an absolute joke of a service and company. Not only was it difficult to find a doctor in my network, even though I live in a massive city and have a huge HC provider, but it bamboozled me into thinking I was meeting with a doctor.
Instead, and unbeknownst to me, it filtered me through to Privia Health to speak with a nurse. It was a complete waste of time and nothing was accomplished. All the nurse could do was further recommend a doctor/clinic in my area. $400 bill to just have a nurse tell me to google local clinics. That's what i was trying to do in the first place! Just unbelievable.
They used to be good, i do not recommend using zocdoc service. Inaccurate insurance provided has put me in a tough situation.
How can a patient review a doctor? It seems that the only way is if the patient made the appointment through Zocdoc. That is crazy -- so if I want to write a good review for a doctor I have been seeing for years -- the portal has no instructions on how to do this. The site is slow and cumbersome -- I think all patients should be able to leave reviews for doctors even if they did not make their appointment through the site.
Horrible terrible unreliable scam company - suggest drs that do not exist total waste of time NEVER USE total waste of time and energy
I am looking for a pediatrician for my baby being born this coming February. I input my location in southern Wisconsin and the only results I'm getting are 40 miles or more away from me and down in Illinois. Really strange. I don't even think I can see an out of state doctor with my insurance. Not that I want to drive 40 miles for a pediatrician. Going to look at different sites to see if I can find a doctor in Kenosha or Racine.
Very disappointed with their service and their customer support. In the last year, our company had $0 and no leads generated from ZocDoc. Our Annual subscription auto-renewed and I attempted calling to cancel and refund the money. I made 5 or attempts to get someone on the phone that could assist only to be told a refund is impossible. The supervisor agreed that our situation wasn't fair and we should be refunded, but the company policy will not allow for it. Buyer beware. ZocDoc is not out to help businesses or people. They only care about their money and will not help you when in need.
At first, when signing up, the app is pretty easy to get through but, the app has issues when it comes to being intuitive and easy to follow. It's super clunky. I had no clue on how this app was supposed to work after setting up the appointment. It was frustrating as I have used similar apps that had a much smoother UI experience from start to finish. I went from setting up my appointment to getting a calendar invite and no way to start the video session, if any. Such a horrible app.
I plugged in my insurance information and ZocDoc gave me a list of in-network providers. I booked a tele-therapy appointment and filled out all the paperwork they emailed me. I received a call and an email letting me know that the therapist didn't even accept my insurance and that my appointment was canceled. This was a mental illness related appointment. What if that canceled appointment was my last straw before offing myself? Why is healthcare so hard to get in this country?! Whoever runs Zocdoc is a jackass. I would trust a wet fart more than I would trust any "information" ZocDoc gave me.
This is a FRAUDLENT company. They suck money form providers for no reason and put fraudlent charges on their profile and ban them for no reason for excessive cancellations. This is the worst company to work with. I would never trust such a company to find my provider and i would never trust them with my personal data. Stay away from such scammers. I am an EX provider and a health care worker and they treated me like i am taking money away from them but instead they took away my money for no reason. What a SCAM company to work with.
STAY AWAY! We have advised in writing we are terminating our relationship with them. They still charged our company credit card. Contacted them again and finally received credit for the unauthorised charges. Now, they have charged our credit card again! On hold waiting to speak with someone.
We started with them in 2014. It was to increase our online presence. It was not worth it. Created much more work on our schedule coordinator by patients not providing complete information, constantly scheduling for a consult (because that is the default) instead of what they wanted. All ZocDoc had to do was make the first option on the drop down box blank forcing the patient to open the drop down. I suggested this many times but of course nothing done and patients continued to schedule for consults. Once these appointments were requested many times we were unable to contact the patient resulting in the patient coming in and getting upset because they were not scheduled for what they truly wanted. Then they switched to a new fee structure. This was the last straw, we sent a letter terminating our relationship with them in December but was advised since the yearly fee was paid and non-refundable to keep the account active so our current patients can schedule at not extra cost. The new patient parameter was to be set at zero so no additional charges would be applied. This sounds reasonable until a new patient tries to make an appointment and they receive the message "No upcoming appointments available". With this message, the prospective new patient will move on to the next practice. I can go on and on but they have already wasted too much of my time.
We have been using Zocdoc for the past ten years (PCP), but under the new deceptive pricing policies ZOCDOC has turned into a scam. They charge us $40 for each new booking but ever since they started the new pricing model we are being swamped with fake bookings people, for different specialities, having no insurance and out of network being able to book with us despite our repeated warnings and clear instructions on our profile and ZOCdoc just does nothing to resolve such bookings. Customer service are very arrogant, and refusing to help. T. S. MD
For shame. Zocdoc has become absolutely horrific. Especially during the time of Covid this is inexcusable. Yesterday, as instructed by Mt. Sinai hospital we were sent to ZOCDOC on line for covid shots. My husband made two appointments for his covid shots. This site was where Mt. Sinai in New York directed him to The first one was to be January 20th and the second one was to be February 17th. The phone number listed to Mt. Sinai on Zocdoc to call about details was out of service. The emails from zocdoc concerning these appointments were listed as pending all day.The information in the app listed the appointments as confirmed. Mt. Sinai had no record of any appointments for him when we called the general number. They were not in his chart. When I called ZocDoc they said not to worry that they would be listed later. Later that evening we got an email that the first appointment was cancelled. It said to call the nonworking Mt. Sinai number. That was email from ZocDoc. You can not have only one appointment. You need two shots 28 days apart. This is highly irresponsible. Now he has no appointment. He is high risk.

Answer: Yes, prices appear to be around $44-180 now. Offices get charged this even for cancellations, no-shows, and fake bookings. Zocdoc has no built in protections to negate this type of booking behaviors. Why would they when they profit off it? Zocdoc also prohibits practices from talking about this fee as it violates their "community standards."
Answer: Hello Swetha. Thanks for reaching out. We'd love to help you find a doctor and book an appointment right online. If you go to www.Zocdoc.com, you can search for doctors by specialty, location, and insurance. You'll be able to see a list of doctors and their availability. Once you select a doctor, you can choose the time that is best for you. Once you complete the booking process, the doctor will receive your appointment information and confirm your appointment via email. This is completely free for you as a patient. Please give us a call at (855) 962-3621 if you need help with this or anything else!
