Rude and condescending agent at rental desk in Fargo. Charged my card for a $300 "deposit" that I was NOT informed of when I rented the car. Alamo should disclose this in advance! I would NEVER rent from Alamo knowing they charge a $300 "deposit". When I finally located the car in subzero weather it was completely COVERED with thick ice and snow, the door was frozen shut plus it was dark out with very poor lighting. Just terrible.

I rented a car at Alamo at Thanksgiving the price was $275 for 7 days. I was impressed. So when I needed a car at New Years for seven days. I went back to Alamo, but this time it was $416 for same car for seven days. I was not impressed. 🤔

There was low inventory availability at pickup. The Seatbelts on the vehicle should have been checked. There was a Safety issue with the passenger seat belt not catching each time and having to repeatedly insert it to get it to hold. This was an issue the entire rental and we opted to not have someone sit in the front passenger seat on several occasions because the seatbelt was too hard to stay into the slot. I reported this issue when returning the car so hopefully it was noted and FIXED prior to re- renting the vehicle.

Great experience with Alamo at Monterey Regional Airport, Carmel CA. Christmas time challenged us and our previously-booked transportation didn't work out. Alamo came through and got us a vehicle and we were on our way quickly. Counter employees at the airport were very understanding and friendly. Thanks, Alamo!

I paid over $200 for a mid size SUV for 1.5 days at the Palm Springs Airport. At the counter they said they were out of cars and were upgrading me at not extra cost, but I ended up being charged extra for taxes. The SUV they upgraded me to was a basic work out GM SUV with over 40,000 miles and the backed was scraped up. It will take a lot for me to rent again from Alamo.

Car dashboard warning light came on during middle of trip. I called customer service and was told to drive car to Alamo and exchange car. I drove to rental office and was Informed there were no cars available to exchange. It was a waste of my time and stressful to continue driving a car with a dashboard warning light that something was wrong with the car

I selected Alamo because it's peñrice was the best by far so wasn't expecting much as far as quality or convenience but was pleasantly surprised. Agency was located convenient to the airport. I was checked in quickly by a courteous agent. I picked up the vehicle with no issues though there were only two cars to choose from from the class I selected. The car was clean, smelled nice and had no issues with operation or electronics. There were no issues with the return except the auto park in Albuquerque was lacking signage for Alamo. Overall a really good experience.

I had to go through 3 trucks to get a truck that the seats actually worked. But.
It always bothers me and I take videos when it's scratch dented. So I'm not charged for it. I keep asking and telling them when I rent a truck that I have a service. Dog He is a 100 pounds, is a white German. Shepherd, sometimes I can vacuum out sometimes I cannot. And I don't want to be charged a $150 cleaning fee. He never sits on the seats. I bring a blanket. I got lucky this time because my son graduated from the Army. And he vacuumed it out for me, had problems with my legs and my back. And I keep asking to put it on my file. I will always have a service. Dog, but they're kind and sweet and very friendly is just getting your truck to have to go through 3 trucks in order to find one and then worried about dense scratches because there's nobody there to go over it with you.
But I really like Alamo.
Yes. Tracks and the ideology gentleman that helped me wasn't very friendly, and I was having a 100% anxiety, panic attack. The gentleman next to him was cool as a cucumber and found my reservations. The young man that was helping me originally needs to brush up on customer service.The gentleman next to him was outstanding, very friendly, very sweet

My customer service representative at check-in, Jada, was absolutely phenomenal! I was an emotional mess as I needed this car because I had been rear ended two days prior and my vehicle had just been totaled out. Mind you, this was the day after Thanksgiving, I had a small daughter and my totaled vehicle was my only vehicle. & to make matters worse, my insurance company only gave me a rather small maximum cap payment for the rental car (versus previously when they'd book it for you and pay for it). Allstate only paid $800, I wasn't sure how long I'd need the rental for and had reserved for the car for $1,342.72 (which was over the maximum cap from Allstate, so I knew I was on the hook for the difference).

Needless to say, I was frazzled at check-in and honestly just a mess. My memory was fuzzy, but Jada was such a sweetheart and helped me tremendously! She was gracious, took her time, repeated things when I forgot and explained the policies in depth. She took her time and made me feel special. Not just like any other customer. I was already an Alamo customer since 2023 (because of their excellent military veteran discount) but Jada's professionalism and demeanor made me an Alamo customer for life. No joke! I wish all customer service representatives for all companies were as knowledgeable, friendly and relatable as Jada was!

The vehicle I rented was brand new and so nice, I ended up purchasing the exact same identical vehicle for a local dealer because I was that impressed by the Ford Escape I drove.

I ended up returning it two days earlier than expected. I returned it the day I bought my replacement car. I was a little nervous going in because it was late in the evening and I wasn't sure if Alamo was still working and if the vehicle would be safe by parking it in the Alamo return area and leaving the keys in it. Luckily, staff was onsite and ready for me as soon as I got out of the car. The representative was nice. I asked if it was too late for me to receive a confirmation receipt showing the final total and proof of return. She explained the Alamo counter at baggage claim was still open, gave me directions and even radioed to them asking them if they'd have my receipt printed and waiting on me. It only took me maybe 15-30 seconds to walk from there to the Alamo counter and sure enough…as soon as I confirmed my name and information, she smiled and handed me my receipt.

Jada made this experience so much more bearable and reminded me that there still are truly amazing, kind, good hearted people still left in this world.
