I ordered a single bible last AUGUST and its past 2 months now and STILL NO ORDER ARRIVED! They didn't provided a tracking number for my order. How can that be possible?! I even emailed the customer service and they told me to wait 7weeks for the replacement are you f#<%ing kidding me?! All they want to do is lure the customers into big discounts and after you swipe your credit then bye bye!

I bought their Pewter Comfort Angel Chimes as a gift 10 days ago and I still haven't received them but was charged upon placing the order. I checked on the status last week and it wasn't sent. I just checked on the order status and again, still not sent. I called to follow up with their customer service only to find out that it was on back order until August 4th. It's a good thing that I called. Because of this, I've missed out on the appropriate window of time to give this gift to a friend who's mother passed. So disappointed that I wasn't given the heads up when I ordered it or when they found out it wasn't in stock. They're still selling it without stating that it's out of stock.

Shipping is Bad

While I have never had a problem with my orders, and the prices are the best, the shipping just plain sucks.The shipping costs are not cheap as it is I would expect faster delivery for the price. I live in the West and my orders always take over a week to be delivered sometimes 2 whole weeks. This is ridiculous!

I order some multiple items and paid for the expedite delivery. I was supposed to get the items deliver on 6/15 and when I call the company they decided to jump my order and told me that I will get my order 4 days later than expected. I told the lady that I paid expedite and she said that they couldn't do nothing that if I want I can decline the delivery or she can send me a shipping label.

At that moment I understood that I made the worst decision of ordering with this company. If I can recommend you. Do not purchase from this company. Your business is not important to them and their management don't care about you business. I even sent them an email to contact me to my personal email and I am still waiting for a respond. That tells you how important is for them.

I ordered an item as a Christmas present, and they were out of stock, so they put it on backorder. I was a little upset, but I decided to deal with it because it said the expected arrival was only a month later. A month passed, and I got another email saying it was on backorder. This continued for SIX $#*!ING MONTHS before I finally emailed them telling them to just cancel the stupid order.

Fraud too Easy BEWARE

I received a fraudulent charge on my credit card this morning. They do not require 3 digit verification and my name wasn't even on the order, clearly zip code did not match my billing. WHAT DOES THIS TELL YOU? ENTIRELY TOO EASY for someone to wreck your credit! I have had to freeze the card, will have to call the bank and have forms filled out the get the shipping address this order was going to, dispute the charge and file a police report because they have LOOSE BILLING PRACTICES, CAUTION CAUTION CAUTION

Deceitful

Showed item in stock than after purchasing the item I received an e-mail two days later out of stock. Four days after e-mailing them about updating there out of stock item it still shows the item to be in stock. I will never order from them no matter how good of a deal it seems to be.

I am sorry y'all have had a bad experience. I order from CB every couple of weeks and have for at least the last year or more, and while its true that a couple of times it has taken longer than expected to receive my items, I have always received everything ordered. Once or twice an item I have ordered has been back ordered and all I had to do was to log in to my account and cancel that particular item and I was refunded in a fairly expeditious manor.

The prices are actually the lowest that I have found thus far and I really appreciate their selection of marriage certificates (I am a wedding officiant and my couples love the many choices they have because of CB wonderful selection, TY CB!), among other things.

Thanks CB, I truly do appreciate you and am glad to have found you!

I ordered on 9/1 a workbook for my son's homeschool education. The item was on backorder unknown to me. No where did it say that on the site, on my receipt OR confirmation email. I contacted them after 2 weeks with no word on my order. They let me know it was on backorder then but back in stock 2 days later so I decided to wait. Still no order. I've now been waiting OVER a month for my order. They provided a shipping number 5 days ago that still shows just a label being created and no tracking information. I will NOT be ordering from this company again... Good Luck if you choose otherwise!

So I got to be honest. Last year 2016/17 school year was our first year to order school curriculum through Christian book. I order 2 of my children's work curriculum from them and my other through Abeka. So anyways I was instantly attracted to Christian book because of their low pricing. When you have 3 kids homeschooling you will try to save a penny anyway that you can. Schooling is expensive. So I ordered through them. It was a nightmare. I had all kind of books on backorder, I got wrong books, just all sorts of things. But I will say one thing, no matter what the problem was they were good to me. They would resend out what I needed free shipping. So anyways I didn't plan on reordering though them this school year but budget was tight which left me no option so I reordered this school year. I don't know what changed from last year to this year but this year was absolutely incredible! They did outstanding. Everything came in 2 boxes unlike last year which was like 10 lol. I'm so pleased with Christian book and honestly for the price who can really complain! I save like 600-700 dollars a year on curriculum and they are always quick to fix any mistakes they make! We will continue to order through Christian book!

Poor customer service

Item was backordered- never contacted about that. Paid extra for 2 day air shipping and tracking was not updated. Regardless it's still not here and tracking says it would take 4 days total. When contacted, I would have expected a refund on the shipping - but nothing.

I have been ordering books from CBD for years. Many times while living in Germany. I have never had a single issue. Orders are confirmed by email almost instantly and when shipped an email is sent with tracking information. All items I have ordered were received and in good condition. I estimate my spending in the thousands of dollars and have not one time even needed to talk to customer support.

They do sell (at a discount) damaged items (that may explain some issues) and their eBook reader is below average, but if you simply want a book at a good price deliver to your door, you cannot beat CBD.

I had just gotten married and the recession was in full bloom, as broke as we were we needed a very important book so we ordered it, it was around $60, they never responded to us and when we contacted them they said the book was out of stock, then when we ask for our money back, they replied saying that their company is in crisis so they need every help they could get and that they will keep our money as a donation to keep the business running. That made us really sad to see such dishonnest people, I could not believe it. We fought to get our money back but no one could help us do that so we took the loss.

I have bought numerous items from this site; 2 bibles in the past 2 years, and recently a larger order for gifts.

I believe they have good prices, it seems most of their items are at discounted prices.
For the bibles I purchased, I always add an imprint which makes it more personal.[this is why I ordered my bibles here -] I love that this website has such a large selection of items. It is good, but also time consuming to scroll through if you don't know what you're looking for.

I think the shipping costs are reasonable when ordering within a certain price point[ I live in Canada so there's the exchange rate to factor in with the total costs -- for someone in the USA or with a currency stronger than the US dollar, it is worth it no matter what]. I received my items within 5 business days when the site lets us know it would be between 2 to 6 days business days.

Within my most recent purchase of gifts; I ordered a few mugs. The pictures werent revealing enough for me to know exactly what I would be getting. For one of the mugs it was beautiful, but I didnt feel comfortable with the design and sayings on it. I called them [they even open really late -til 11pm eastern on a week day. Thats a blessing] to let them know that i'd like to return this item and purchase something else. I did not want to pay shipping to return it. As I spoke to the lady on the phone she was kind and told me I could receive a credit from the mug I purchased, on my new order and I wouldn't need to return the mug. This was really a blessing from God. I am glad I don't have to go through that ordeal. I ordered a book instead and a bookmark and will be awaiting these items.

Need to Change Name

With a name Like ChristianBook one would think of an honest site. The item I received as 100 bingo chips was nothing like a bingo chip. They are tiny which
Is a quarter the size of an actual bingo chip. This purchase was a waste of the purchase price and shipping which was as much as the product cost. Shipping was on time and not too costly except it was for something that is worthless as an actual bingo chip. I rate this as a one star which is generous but there was not a quarter of a star which represents the quarter size of a chip sent as a bingo chip.

I bought a few items two-in-a-half weeks prior to Christmas day. I received most of the items in a medium size box, but noticed two items were missing. On my receipt it said the items were no longer available. There was no notice what-so-ever saying that my items weren't shipped. I speak to a very rude Customer Service Rep. Saying first saying my items would not be shipped. I ask her, "Then why am I being charged the full amount if my items aren't being sent out to me?" She then backtracks and says that they will be sent at a later time. I only received 1 and that was a bible cover. Again, these small items could've easily fit inside the box. I do think that this website has great stuff, but their Customer Service is below par. Not sure I want to order from them again.

God wants us all to be runners in this Christian life. God has a plan for each one of us and we need to follow that plan. Do not be afraid to step out and even run if you need to. Its never to late to fulfil you destiny. Start where you are. You may think you wasted a lot of time but you can always start over. Its never to late as long as you are still living. God always has a way of working things out even when you do not think he does. Run the race that is set before you. Do not look back. Keep going forward.

If your in the market for Christian material (personal or Church business) this site is great to check out. Every time I have ordered, came always on time. Very seldom do they have to back order. So far, they have not done it with any of my orders. The church i go to buys much of their supplies from: Christianbook (they post on the checkout page, if you want to purchase anything else, & show you if your within the min ship limit if you are budget shopping. If that helps any) To date, had no issues with having to return anything.
