When have been using Cox internet for year and years. But we have had it at this point. Everytime you call for an issue, you get a technical rep in another country, making very complicated.
They installers are useless and do whatever they want. Asked install camera in a certain place and they just say they can't.
Constant internet failures, tv fails all the time. It was better 20+ years ago. I wouldn't recommend this "service" to anyone. I should paint a red zone in front of my house for Cox to park in they're here so often. Wouldn't get out of the electric chair to use these morons again. I quit!
Cox has the absolute worst internet service. It's very slow and spotty. I did have the free 30 day trial because I moved into my new apartment waiting to get my new wifi that I have with Verizon set up. I almost thought about switching my service out of convenience to cox but the service was at the lowest speed and barely worked. It worked for my streaming services but as far as me using my phone on wifi it was horrible. I have the lowest speed with Verizon and I only pay $55 a month is it's amazing. Granted I was paying $50 for cox lowest speed but I'd rather spend an extra $5 dollars for reliable internet.
The worst of all cable companies! Game players and dishonest! Time to cut the cord!
Was on the phone for 1 1/2 withe customer service.
Cox Communication Customer Service Representatives typically appear to have not received adequate training. Additionally, it has been my experience most representatives lack basic knowledge of service provided and will quickly become frustrated and rude...even lie to get off the phone without resolution.
About 7 years ago I when I had a Verizon LG cell phone and Cox was my internet provider I was moving borderline out of Cox territory. The Cox rep told me if I drop Cox internet I could not get email on the cell phone. I was naive, gullible, and under informed so I kept Cox. WRONG! I recently found out through Verizon they have nothing to do with Cox and I never needed Cox for phone internet. I contacted Cox about this and my 7 years of payments for nothing. They put me through a 5 step process for a refund that lasted 10 days and included a refund claim form number they generated. It was a totally bogus process to try to get me to give up. Ultimately, just yesterday Cox stonewalled me on the phone. Forwarding my complaint to CT Dept Consumer Protection for guidance. Amount lost > 900.00. For real.
COX CABLE SUCKS, literally, after many times it will not connect to netflix, but have no problem connecting to any other streaming, it's always going out, always saying trouble shooting its always something, im always calling always seeing a cox truck in my neighborhood,
I mean come on, and it's included in my rent, so why should I pay for something that I don't even have, get it together COX CABLE, as matter of fact there is this unamed I will not say, competition that's trying to take over because of your lousey connection service tenants are tired of the crap.
Cox cable suck we need a option you pay full bill get half of service it's always and outage every other day tired of they overpriced and bad service we need some one else
How any of these cable companies stay in business is a crime against business. Their protective monopolies allow them to maintain unstable platforms, charge exorbitant rates failed to provide service, and the list goes on.
Y'all are a $#*!ty $#*! company us customers should not have to deal with outages every we pay to damn much money for this $#*!!
I though I could call Cox on lunch hour. Hung up on twice. 3 times individual couldn't speak English (Outsourced India Staffing). Transferred to wrong department 3 calls in. Last call. Number 9 They were finally able to remove the unauthorized charges on my account. I wish I had other options for internet in the Las Vegas Area that is decent. Work from home and rely on affordable internet. That is all for now.
Three days ago I spent one hour and 42 minutes on the phone with four different technical service representatives explaining the I had a defective pod in my Cox MESH system. The first representative escalated my call to an "advanced" rep. Who told me that they would replace the pod and that he would transfer me to an agent who could help me. Of course that agent disagreed and told me that Cox wouldn't replace the item and that she could transfer me to a different agent to discuss this. After a very brief and cordial visit I was cut off in the middle of that conversation. I called tech support back and the person on the line said that I needed to have a technician come to my house so one was scheduled for three days later between 1 and 3. That afternoon around 1 o'clock I received a message that the technician was delayed and that it would be between 3 and 5 before he could show up. At 4:40 the technician arrived and after I told him the problem he told me that he was told it was a different problem and he didn't know anything about the Cox MESH system. Now I have another technician scheduled to come tomorrow between 8 and 10. Hopefully that will be able to help me. I tried to use the chat on the Cox web site numerous times with no response.
Absolute waste of money. If there are any other providers at all in your area you need to seriously consider going with them instead. Calling support does borderline nothing when their service drops. They will have you troubleshoot locally, lie to you about outages they are having, then try to charge you to send someone out to do exactly the troubleshooting steps you just did with them on the phone.
Cox Communications is beyond pathetic. Absolutely horrible internet service. NEVER get the speeds I am over paying for. Outages frequently, normally for a minimum of 8 to 12 hours if not more. Instead of actually fixing problems, they put bandaid after bandaid and it just fails again and again because they are a bunch of cheap pieces of sh!t and would rather steal your money than actually ensure consistent service for their customers. I've already joined a large group of people looking to sue Cox. Can't wait to put them out of business.
The worst $#*!ing service ever we got about 2 weeks left and we get our new house we are not going to have their service anymore we are done every time it rains it goes out $#*! them
Horrible company they take advantage of disabled people. I'm a Traumatic brain injury survivor and spent 8 hrs last month switching my plan to a lower plan and they ended up charging me more money and not decreasing my internet.
If you're a gamer, do not use cox internet. I've used them for over ten years due to not having any other option where I live. We are always having problems and outages. Believe me when I say I'm not the only one. They have a terrible reputation here. Avoid Cox internet if you can.
A monopoly in my neighborhood, they seem to be uncaring as to how unreliable their internet coverage is. Thankfully, a fiber company is installing underground here, and as soon as the flick the on switch, we are dropping Cox. Slow, spotty, unreliable. Three words that best describe Cox internet service
Started cable and internet with Cox, by month TWO my bill went up by 50.00. Was quoted one price guaranteed for the first year. That lasted a month. They do a bait and switch with their customers. I'm in Nevada. Cox Cable should be renamed Con Cable. Was guaranteed my monthly price by a guy named Andrew. Spoke to a manager named Steven who said, "yes Andrew lied and I will report him" what good does that do me? Ripoff.
They just reformatted their webmail, which made it so much worse to use. There are multiple problems with it including an inability to delete more than one email at a time. There is unbelievable cacheing both with webmail (especially when waiting to create a new outgoing email) and with the internet in general. In the past several months, they seem to be experiencing problems with outages or service disruptions. The service is terrible and it shouldn't be. They've been around long enough.
Answer: Count me in too! Cox needs a lesson in customer service.
