I pay 120 a month for gigabit internet. I can't stay connected to Discord calls or video games at all. It constantly disconnects. Verizon Fios is 1000x better, but they don't provide it in my area. Words do not describe how much I hate this company

They are not sending bill generated notification in email, not via text, not even in mail and then after the due date is passed then they are sending a letter in mailbox stating that you email was not sent due to some technical difficulties. I mean there are other ways to contact customer to notify him/her about the newly generated bill. Also when I try to explain the situation to the customer representative (named Joe.) she just hanged up the chat without giving me satisfying answer. Very rude and mean people are working in COX internet.

Wow! Just moved in to my place and been here for three days, just trying to get my service hooked up! Customer is the sorrys wow and you can't speak to someone who can help because there sorry they can't do there job.

I'm not going to go in super depth here but I've lived at my address for over a year and I've really had a minimum of 45 days WITHOUT SERVICE and legit no remorse from the company and only scripted responses from customer service. I would change in a heartbeat but they have a monopoly in my area and I have no choice.

As much as I pay for this internet (almost 200 a month) it is annoying as all hell how often it goes down. This time was the longest it has been - more than 24 hours. And on Christmas. Completely ruined my holiday. Customer service is very hard to get a hold of, and when you do, they are totally worthless. A lot of them are incredibly rude too: they will just hang up on you.

Never use COX Business Internet as they auto renews their contracts when they end, they abuse small businesses and their customer service is subpar. Very sneaky practice and I tell all our business friends to stay away from COX Business. I would look at other providers before ever using COX Internet.

I tried to save money by switching from Cox. As my Dad used to say you get what you pay for. Competitor rates may work for you for home entertainment. If you work from home as I do and depend on internet for income, I would recommend spending the 100 dollars more a month.Their Customer service is always trying to sell you and raise the Bill. But the Quality of their Service Rep doesn't suck. You don't have to spend hours on the phone and get transferred around with tech support. One Call and you are Good.To sum up, Cox isn't Cheap. They are well managed and maintenance.

SCAM

Be aware of this company. I had service for almost one year but once I moved. I bring the modem to ups as the chat person told me to bring it to ups, but one I bring it to ups they said they did not take cox modem and I bring it back home and I called Cox company on how to return the modem but the person on the phone told me that I don't need to return it. So I didn't return it. One month later, Cox bill me $200 for not returning the modem. So be aware, they will trick you into this at the end of the lease. I am not paying this for sure. There is a camera that I was holding cox modem at UPS and I also have a phone record of they told me not to return, if I had to go in court.

I hate Cox so much

I live in Jenks, Cox has a monopoly in my neighborhood because ATT won't compete, they've probably talked to each other illegally to stifle competition. Cox oversells their capacity, constant slowdowns of the internet during peak hours. I absolutely hate having to use this crappy, overpriced company. We use them at work as well, their business offerings are extremely overpriced with long contracts. I will absolutely switch the moment some other company sells actual broadband in my neighborhood. I dream of winning the lottery and putting Cox out of business in Oklahoma.

We went 6 months without cable while still being charged. Numerous times we called and Numerous times we set up appointments for there technician to come out and fix it and everytime they stood us up. We called and said we could no longer afford the almost 400 dollar bill and we only wanted internet. Thet outright refused to turn our cable off. During the 6 months it got so bad we had to report them to public utilities regulatory authority. This company is allowed to steal and lie to you with impunity. They get bonuses for signing or keeping you on packages you don't want. With that method its ripe for defrauding customers. I hope you go out of business. And if I go before a collections judge I'm going to tell them about how we paid 6 months for cable we never received

COX IS A SCAM

WOW WHAT A SCAM!
This company is the biggest scam ever! They sold me internet then charged me overage charges for using too much internet. Then I upgraded to unlimited and paid $50 more. So my bill was now $180 per month! But still charged me for overages, which if I didn't call them they would have just kept that money too.

But they still kept texting me and calling me daily saying I was using too much of my unlimited plan and started throttling my internet. I could see from my computer terminal pings that they were kicking me off line to stop using so much internet. How can you use too much of an UNLIMITED plan?! That is false advertising and a total SCAM! So then I wanted to cancel and they charged me $120 to cancel my service.

Not to mention they said this homelife thing was included in my service, which gave me a security camera. But then didn't tell me that the camera cost $120, which I only found out on my following bill. Then they told me that it only has a 30 day grace period which is after the 30 days, because my bill came 30 days later. So this is a total scam!

So I switched to Frontier Communications and got fiber with 1 gig upload and 1 gig download for $85. Best internet every. I am paying a fraction of the price and getting better speeds and UNLIMITED data.

COX IS A SCAM! DON'T GET SCAMMED LIKE I DID. BE BETTER.

We are prior cox customers yet making us jump through all kinds of hoops because prior tenant didn't pay. Not our problem. Wants us to send all kinds of information via email including photos of license and lease (I get) but will not process without photo of Social security card. We sent card but redacted first 5 digits and left last 4. Sorry but I'm not comfortable sending that much information over the web. We called the number on denial and offered to verbally give the full social, was told NO, it all had to be submitted in full at once. Customer service was rude and when I tried to reiterate we are prior customers in good standing and give the last address of service the phone started ringing and an automated response answered stating someone would call us in 24-48 hours. Not acceptable we are going on 2 weeks with no service with teleworking jobs. We only found out above when our order was "processed" and we called to tell them it never arrived.

Great service from Cox
September 8, 2022

On Sept. 8,2022, I spoke with Xavier about my bill and monthly plan. Xavier was able to reduce my monthly obligation and did it quickly and efficiently. I could tell he was experienced and very well qualified to assist me. I took the time to write about Xavier because I think when someone goes above and beyond helping, someone should tell someone else.

Hard to think of a worse customer service!
Ordered the StraightUp Internet service online. They got me the Essential internet service instead, and sent the "wrong" equipment.
After about 3 hrs on and off on the phone with customer service, they cancelled the Essential and ordered the StraightUp one for me, including the shipping of the "correct" modem (with a $15 expedite fee which I did not request).
Got an email confirmation for the new order, then 3hrs later another email stating that the order is completed and I had picked up the equipment!
That would be the fastest package delivery in my experience.
According to 3 reps, I need a different modem.
According to other 2 (including a supervisor in Sales), I do not.
They charged $50 as equipment deposit, whereas their website says "No Deposit" for this service. Then cannot find the charge.
They transfer you from department to department. Every time you need to authenticate yourself and half the time they drop the call. They never call back although they check that they have the correct number.
All customer support is absolutely clueless, don't share the same information, contradict themselves and the email communication that you get, etc.
A complete nightmare, choose another Internet provider if you can and save your sanity.

I have spent over an hour today between the chat service and customer service. I am currently on hold for what the computer voice said might be another 20 minutes. Since yesterday my Cox emails cannot be sent through Outlook although I can receive them. I tried to log onto my Cox Webmail and also Cox payment to pay my bill. It will not take my password! Logon gives me an "internal error" message. When I tried to reset my password it said there is no password attached to my account. Let's see - been a customer with the same ID for 20+ years? The so-called technicians on Chat and the first answered phone call couldn't help. I was then transferred to a special tech unit that said call wait time is 25 minutes. Both the Chatter and the first phone lady offered to take my payment information - OF HELL NO! I'm not giving Cox another penny until they freakin' LET ME LOG IN AND FIX THE PROBLEM! PTHETIC excuse for customer care and support.

Cox Continuous outages
August 11, 2022

Been with Cox Communications for 4 months and there isn't a week that I haven't experienced unexplained outages. Mind you I got a good internet package deal for the money, but what good is it if the internet cuts out now and then with te almost laughably reason "we're experiencing an outage in your area" come on Cox get your act together" Don't know what's wrong with your coax system but you need to get it together. Prior to signing for your services I was with Verizon Fios and seldom in the 3 years I was with them did I have a handful or two the problems I've had with you in 4 month. Common guys you need to adjust my bill for these unexplained outages accordingly.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ended my connection and they closed my account then months later said I still owed money. When I went to pay the app wouldn't open my account because it was closed and they weren't taking payments over the phone but said they'll contact me later. They never did then sent my $8 outstanding payment to collections lol.

Garbage!

Constantly having to reset modem & cable box! In one month I've had 4 "connection issue", when all I do is unplug the power connections, then it works... for a couple of weeks! Don't waste your money!

After 12mo they place an unexpected uncharged to your service! Worst internet at such an expensive price. I've cancelled my plan 2 times and I am still being charged for servicing I am no longer using. Go ahead and send me to collections $#*! you guys you're not getting another dime from me
