I worked with Jonathan for an anniversary ring upgrade & both myself and my husband are blown away with the ring. I wanted an oval, but was concerned about a bowtie, after some research I reached out to Jonathan to inquire about the Elyque. If you want a perfect cut oval, the Elyque is the way to go. It is perfection.

Overall, Jonathan is extremely knowledgeable, has unlimited patience, excellent communication, & is great to work with. He answered all questions I had & wasn't pushy. He asked about overall budget early in the process and was conscious of it throughout. I ended up getting both the diamond & setting from Jon & the total ring came out to be ~$100 over budget, however, it is worth every single penny. I truly feel like I got the best ring my budget allowed.

Wow. I mean seriously, WOW! We had originally planned to get our diamond online and get our ring done in a local jewelry shop and plans changed rather quickly when Jonathan blew me away with his customer service for our diamond! We just got the ring in this past few days and the only reason it has taken me so long to get this review up is because I have been SO incredibly busy, but you bet I have been wearing this special ring since my husband opened the box! It makes me feel so much like a princess! The cut and color of the diamond is something I have only ever seen in a jewelry shop- not on someone's finger! We ended up getting a ring that was slightly modified from an original item on their website. I wanted a euro shank and Jonathan was able to make that happen! It is absolutely PERFECT! My husband is beyond blown away too. Working with Jonathan and having all of our questions answered, ideas shared with us when I said a few things I was interested in, and the overall process was absolutely perfect! I will also note that I bought the diamond completely without seeing anything other than a single ASET picture that I had NO idea what it meant lol. I basically bought an almost 2 carat diamond - my husband included- completely unseen and 100% TRUSTING in Jonathan telling us to jump on it if we were looking for something in that price range. AND WE DID! And are absolutely blown away still! So, you can absolutely TRUST this company, Jonathan, and Vicki if you are not sure about what you are looking at! Which is huge when purchasing a diamond online! It's totally worth it if you are considering Jonathans company for your jewelry purchases!

You will see in the pictures around my band that there might be what looks like scratches - it's from sweating lol Florida is so dang hot right now and I forgot to clean it before I did the pictures! The ring is absolutely perfect!

I just received my e-ring and wedding band today, and I could not be more thrilled. I did my research before deciding on Distinctive Gem, and Jonathan and Vicki are as amazing and patient as all the accolades that you see online. I've been stalking moissanites and non-mined diamonds for years for ethical reasons, and I've looked at all the name brands. None are cut as beautifully as DG. Jonathan worked with me to customize a cathedral solitaire setting and matching band with lab-created diamonds, and he did it all within my budget! I also received my rings in exactly 3 weeks from placing the order! Undoubtedly, I will be a customer for life:-)

Jonathan with Distinctive Gem was amazing! He helped me find the perfect pair of lab created diamonds within my specs. Jonathan made the buying process so easy and his knowledge and expertise of diamonds is in my opinion unmatchable. I went and purchased a 18K gold pendant for my son from here as I was recommended to it and it was priced right, arrived super fast and is beautiful. I'm a time where religion is not believed by some, I bought a religious pendant for my son in the ARMY for his birthday. It is beautiful and worth every penny and more. Don't waste your time on Amazon or other websites that are big and sell bulk. I will always buy my jewelry from here from now on. My ex wife had a friend who owned a jewelry store and o bought her ring there way back in 1998. I believe he ripped me off, and we were not very pleased. I know the owners are a well respected, charity giving couple as well through the recommendation. You want the best at a VERY FAIR price? This is where you should buy your jewelry. I am thrilled with my new pendant from Distinctive Gem. It is 7mm and set it the Stuller Fleur-de-Lis setting with a 24 inch white gold rope chain, 1mm.

I purchased this partially for a special treat, and partially to see how I felt about this cut in advance of a big anniversary next summer. I was also wondering if I would have any "mind clean" issues with a lab stone. So far, I feel the opposite - thrilled to have such an extraordinary creation to enjoy! And I LOVE the cut. My wheels are turning for future projects!

Jonathan's team did a lovely job with the setting. I picked a very low cost setting since I may opt to upgrade this stone next year. I'm pleasantly surprised at how very much I like it.

I am a very picky consumer, and have purchased from all the top vendors (Whiteflash, Brian Gavin Diamonds, Blue Nile, ID Jewelry, etc). Distinctive Gem is the best of the best!

Jonathan and Vicki's service serves up top notch professionalism with a large side of friendly. I was looking for an emerald cut to fit within a platinum setting I already had. Communication was excellent and timely with pictures, videos, and Sarin reports. We even had a nice phone conversation when prong details couldn't be conveyed via email. When my setting and the DG emerald cut was delivered as a completed ring I was one very happy customer! I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again.

I was buying a diamond from US - I'm a private purchaser in Australia, and after reading a lot about the quality of this company's products and services, I decided to give them a go. The hic cup was with my delivery address, which caused problems to FedEx and Australian Border Force as I wanted it delivered to a jeweller of my choice to be set (instead of to my home address). When I notified Distinctive Gem of the "road-block" I had reached, they went out of their way to ensure that the overseas purchase experience went smoothly, even having regard to the difference in time zones etc. I highly recommend this vendor thankyou for helping me.

I originally contacted Jonathan because I wanted to see his round moissanites, and wanted something else other than C&C. He promptly sent me a personalized video with the stone under different lighting and I was impressed with the quick and thorough turnaround. At the same time, I was also looking at ring settings and came across a style that I liked, but wasn't too keen on the price I was quoted from another retailer. Knowing that Jonathan also did custom settings, I decided to work with him to see what he could do. After almost 150 email exchanges (and a lot of patience from him) on refining the setting to my preference, we landed on the perfect design! I also thought I got a great price on the custom setting. I ended up purchasing a diamond for my center stone after browsing his collection and seeing that his prices were lower than some other online retailers. I just received my ring and it is gorgeous! Prior to contacting him, I had read reviews about his great customer service, so I was already coming in with some expectation but I was still blown away by the whole experience. On the 4th of July I got the 'diamond fever' and had to satisfy my diamond craving! I found a beautiful IF 1.03 W-X diamond on Distinctive Gem's website. I knew Jonathan was trustworthy because of his reputation in the gem and jewelry community, and I had been following him on social media for years. I had never purchased a diamond online before, and was nervous because 1) the price 2) a diamond's beauty is so hard to capture online, and is very subjective to the owner. But he had THE BEST price I had ever seen for an alphabet yellow, Internally Flawless modified brilliant cut oval, ever. So on impulse I bought it! His customer service team Vicki was in touch with me right away, confirming my order and keeping me updated on shipping details. Whenever I emailed her, she emailed me back within minutes. Jonathan himself sent me personalized videos of my stone under different lighting, so I could see a 360 view of the stone. My stone was sent overnight shipping, and it was so bundled up in packaging that I knew it was totally safe in transit. The stone itself is more amazing than I could have imagined. It is truly brilliant, with excellent cut (no bow-tie) and bright flashes of fire in both sunlight and under white light. I am so happy with my purchase, and I see now why Distinctive Gem and Jonathan are so loved in the gem community. He will be my first stop when (not if, haha) I have another diamond craving. Storytime: I initially purchased two of the Takara lab grown diamonds(due to their AGS ideal optics) online to have made in to earrings, unfortunately the diamonds I purchased had already been sold. Johnathan was quick to reach out to me to let me know of the error, and offered to find me a matched pair with slightly better specs (and ideal optics) for the same price due to the inconvenience. It has been an amazing customer service experience, and I'm very excited for the finished product.

I can not say enough about my experience working with Jonathan. We have truly collaborated on everything from my stone selection and now have moved on to begin the process of a bespoke setting for the amazing Heritage Emerald Cut stone I chose.
