The company's reputation reflects a mix of appreciation and frustration among customers. Many users commend its ability to facilitate connections with customer service, often leading to quicker resolutions than direct attempts. However, significant concerns arise regarding service delays, misleading communications, and instances where customers felt scammed or misled. Additionally, the lack of direct support options for GetHuman itself contributes to dissatisfaction. Overall, while the service shows promise in alleviating customer service hurdles, persistent issues with reliability and transparency hinder its effectiveness and user trust.

In theory, this is a great service. In reality, there are more problems than assistance. I used GetHuman this morning, and though I did receive a call from them, it didn't work. First, there were two competing recordings at the start of the call, which made it hard to understand. Then, once I tapped into the call, I was sent through the same voice menu that one gets by calling customer service itself. I was on hold for 8 minutes, before being put on hold for another 14 minutes to speak with someone. What gives?!?!
I tried using them to call Samsung Canada. It showed that it would take 21 min, I waited and when it was like 6 mins left the time just stopped and after waiting for 45 mins, I thought to call Samsung by myself. Surprisingly, Samsung picked up the call within 2 mins. I think they fish for numbers from people so that they can sell them to scammers in India and Africa. BEWARE, People!
I used GH service where they would hold and call me when a rep was on the line, purportedly saving me "25%" of hold time. The company I was trying to call had a hold time of two hours. GetHuman never called me. They did send me a text FOUR HOURS LATER asking if I'd already resolved it.
I was at my wit's end trying to resolve what seemed like a simple action - submitting a document electronically. Then I found GetHuman and have nothing but praise for the courtesy, patience and help from the fellow on the phone. Thank you!
The person I talked to did not listen to me, so she could not understand my issue. She also repeated things 4 and 5 times, even after I told her I was aware of what she was telling me.
She w/could not answer some very basic questions.
It was a waste of time, and her combativeness made it quite stressful. I would not recommend them to anyone.
Recently, I had a security issue with my Chase Banks debit card. I have tried for weeks to get a resolution, but have had no satisfaction either online or by phone (left holding until line disconnects). After several hours of toiling over the matter tonight, I came across the Google hit that highlighted the phone number on my debit card. That is the only reason I called it. After typing sensitive information did I learn that I was not communicating with Chase Bank at all. I was tricked into sharing sensitive banking information, and then asked to pay on top of it. This set up is deceptive and fraudulent, as far as I'm concerned.
The following text was put in an email to Menard's Customer Service, asI was not aware of a telephone number to call, so used the email process instead. I did not purchase item from Menards because to re-order 1 day later "Hello. I sent request to cancel the order above at approx. 7:00 p.m. EST. After discussing with plumber, I would like to rescind the cancellation and go ahead with the order. Can you please confirm the order will process with expected ETA to Kokomo Menards on 8-31-21"
However, the CS rep. Either didn't read the entire email or was confused by the word 'rescind'. In any event, the last part of "go ahead with the order... can you please confirm the order will process. " should have made it clear NOT to cancel the order. Rep did reply to this email and not the first email requesting cancellation of order. C. S. Is lacking.
Aside from GetHuman being super easy to use and costing me nothing but free time, the service rep for Comcast who received my call was sure it was a random prank/robo call. She almost hung up, but was curious enough to see it through. Once I answered after GetHuman called me back, she was blown away for about 5 minutes before we could even talk about why I called. It was hilarious. She asked for the website and kept repeating it to make sure she did not forget it and also said she would use it from now on. GetHuman kept me updated on where they were in the process of getting me a rep to speak with! They also sent me text messages when they called back and I missed it, or if they ran into technical difficulties (that they went through for me and I didn't have to deal with the headache!). They're legit. Thanks GetHuman!
They couldn't do it... a simple call to Ebay. I followed their instructions perfectly. In the end... I had to go through the horrible frustration of desperately trying to get a call back from Ebay. They make it nearly impossible. Nearly...
I haven't tried Get Human for several years now, they used to be great, then I retired.
I go the website and now it wants an email or phone number. OK but then it says it sent (or texted) me a code. It didn't. Maybe the websites down? ANYWAYZ. Three different browsers, a PC, a teb. Let and twenty min. I'm crying to y'all 'nouf said.
Really well organized website that has help a ton already with dealing with various bureacracies. I really like the concept and the implementation
Paysite REFERRAL RIPOFF. You get referred to a list of other sites claiming they can get a number for you. BOGUS! (For a FEE, the sites you're referred to claim they can solve your dilemma.) DO BUSINESS AT YOUR OWN RISK, AND DON'T SAY YOU WEREN'T DULY WARNED!
Trying to get a human at USPS. Original wait time was 21 minutes. Then timer ran down to6 minutes, and had not changed for 30 minutes. The site DID NOT work for me
I called the FTB directly and gave up waiting after half an hour and lots of annoying announcements, with no indication of how long I would have to wait. The FTB system for returning calls malfunctioned and I didn't get a chance to leave my number. I decided to seek help from GetHuman, just to navigate the FTB automated call handling system more effectively and "get a human". I discovered that they now offer a free calling service that would call the FTB for me and ring me back when it got a person on the line, so I could get on with my day. It took about five hours for the callback to come - probably not the fault of GetHuman - but indeed it happened, and I got my problem with the FTB resolved on that call. At the end of the call, I recommended GetHuman to the FTB agent, who had been pretty confused about getting a call from a robot saying it had to get someone on the line to talk. Fortunately the agent didn't follow the impulse to hang up!
It's very telling to me when businesses continue to ignore complaints around this country. What it tells me is that they could care less, and that seems to be a theme with many, many, many businesses in the U.S. It's also a pattern and theme, set up by 45's administration where consumer protections were all but destroyed. Nobody wants to be accountable, responsible, or take ownership of issues that affect us every day.
Again, without answering any of my questions, I'm not comfortable paying for help. I may have to chase them around and wind up frustrated over the original issue, then this company. If they wanted our business, they would respond. Good-to-excellent customer service is very rare these days.
As an update to Facebook, they're created some kind of algorithm to block me from creating an account using part of my real name. Perhaps in combination with my birthday & IP address (hidden, but they may have software that can see its origin) as well. It's the only information I give them. What they did crippled my business and severely limited me from interacting with my family & friends. GetHuman can't commit to helping me with these sparse details?
I see on this website that every single Facebook issue has not been addressed. Why is that? Because it's the largest social media empire in the world and nobody has the guts to challenge them? That's why I wouldn't recommend this website. And do people get their money back if they pay for help and don't get it? I smell something fishy when websites do that, but don't guarantee they'll help. What would I be paying for then? To have my time and theirs wasted? No, theirs would get paid for, and I'd still have a disabled Facebook account.
Getting the direct technical support phone number from gethuman saved me a lot of phone directory number punching, I suspect. That was a big help. The number I called was valid and I got through to an actual human being who was extremely personable AND helpful. He talked me through what I needed to do to resolve the issue I was having, and... problem solved! Thank you to iFit and gethuman for following up to see that my issue was resolved.
At first when I put the 3 reviews on the Uber eats app I felt like that wasn't going to work because I was expecting news about my problem with the delivery and stuff but as soon as I left my review on GetHuman I got an email quick and got the problem solved so I'm glad and thankful!
I had an excellent service from GetHuman. I spoke to Sam, she was/s efficient and dedicated, and she delivered what she promised. She promised that she would contact me in two days time to check on the update on my complaint and she did.
I was frustrated at not being able to complete the purchase in the shopping cart at ebay as it refused my order due to it stating no international sales were done, despite me having contacted the vendor and her agreeing to sell to me in Europe. Ebay has no telephone number to contact in Europe, only UK, no chat and does not permit contact outside the website, no telephone numbers or email is permitted so one can solve the problem between customer and seller. I finally wrote and asked the seller to change her settings on ebay to allow international postage for my purchasse and then the shopping cart worked. If it hadn“t worked then GetHuman would have gone in and contacted ebay about the issue, I hope.
HULU shows popping back to the home page(Netflix, Disney, Philo, etc.) and we would to reselect HULU and go to the show we were watching, My wife called GetHuman, and told them about the problem. We did nothing else to solve the the problem here at home. The next day, HULU worked fine.
Answer: I'm not going to take the chance. One bad review is enough to stop me. They charge $75. But in their terms, state service is free.
