They cancel as they want, they make mistakes and don't fix, make you buy another ticket and don't refund. The situation is their website doesn't let you to buy any ticket if you do not write all information requested. I bought 4 tours and they did not write on email my boyfriends name and insisted that I did not write his name, the information must be written or we cang enter the place.anyway the guide called the agency and they said buy another ticket and they will refund. We wrote many mailsabout this but they said they will not refund this time.we can't find anyone else to contact they blocke and don't care now.And they canceled our last tour as they wished and never explained why.
I recently booked a short break for me and my son to Rome. This was my son's first break for 6 years due to illness. I month before going i booked a trip to go to the Vatican museums (fast track) this would have been the major highlight to the holiday as my son is highly religious.
The trip was also going to fall on my son's 21st birthday too.
On the eve of the trip (9.20 pm) i received a email stating that the tour had been canceled due to a bank holiday we were both very disapppointed to hear such bad news.
Why had they allowed us to book if they knew it was a bank holiday in the first place and giving us no notice to change.
I contacted GET YOUR GUIDE who stated they will speak to there partner in Rome no compensation for a ruined holiday due to neglect
I had a disastrous experience with GetYourGuide on an e-bike tour. The e-bikes were too large and heavy for us, making them unsafe to ride. Despite adjusting the seats, we couldn't touch the ground. The guide sped off without waiting, and we had to return to the shop within minutes due to safety concerns.
The tour operator acknowledged the issue and advised us to seek a refund from GetYourGuide. However, GetYourGuide refused our refund request, citing their cancellation policy and ignoring the significant safety issues.

We have been trying to get paid an amount due to us by GetYourGuide (GYG) for a tour we sold in October 2023, it now being 23 June 2024. We have all the documentation proving this, as well as a report generated by GYG where they themselves admit their debt.
Despite our numerous reminders, no payment has been received.
GYG claimed at some point that they had sent the money; however, the same was never received, and when we asked GYG for proof of payment, they never reverted. This has been going on for too long by any standards, and the only conclusion we can draw in view of their non-payment for so many months, as well as their lack of responsiveness, is that GYG is an untrustworthy partner. Other travel/tour companies considering partnering with, or already partners of GYG, please beware.
I booked a trip to the Alhambra for 3 people. Received confirmation email. Everything seemed fine.

I booked a tour via "Get your Guide" for 16th May 9 am, which got cancelled by 15th May after 8 pm, and get your guide have stringent cancellation policy as customers have to cancel before 24 hours to get full refund, but if the cancellation happened from the provider's side, they don't even bother to book us for the same tour from another provider. And, surprisingly, I received a message from the Albanian bus provider that it had been cancelled due to a lack of bookings, as well as an email stating that it had been cancelled due to bad weather, which contradicts the whatsapp message I received, and the Albanian bus team requested to book with another provider for the same tour.So my question is, would another provider and their clients not be impacted by the severe weather? And when I asked "Get your guide"team to schedule the same tour with a different provider, they completely refused
I made it very apparent to"Get your guide team that I needed my same amount money back, and they were requesting bank statements, screenshots, and bank messages.
So please confirm again before making reservations from and "Get your guide".

Horrific experience with Get Your Guide, GoGoDay travel and C trip, Japan. We booked a Get Your Guide day trip from Osaka on our recent trip to Japan. April 10 2023. Get Your Guide assigned us to their supplier GoGoDay travel who assigned us to a third party called C trip.
The day started with wet seats in the bus on a cold day and our tour guide had no briefing for the tour of the day.
When asked after almost an hour what we are doing for the day, can you explain to us more about the history of the places we are visiting today - the guide was unable to even pronounce those names correctly.
We paid extra for a guided tour in English and it turns out 'Peter' our guide was not well versed in either English or Japanese. He was struggling to communicate with us and had no idea about any information on the places we were going to visit.
He constantly kept checking with the driver what, when, where types of information. After wasting half of our day, he took us to a train station in Arashiyama where the tickets were sold out for the day. He got another group with him, excluding us, who already had booked tickets in advance for the same. We were not told about it in the morning when we started otherwise we would have booked online or figured out an alternative.
Then the driver, the useless guide and the rest of their group leaves us at the train station to use our time at our own efforts. We were so done with them after wasting most of the time of our day that we just walked out and managed the last few hours on our own.
When we complained about the whole episode to Get Your Guide, they refunded just a petty amount out of the huge chunk of the money we paid for 3 people.
It was a huge disappointment to rely on Get Your Guide on a foreign land, it wasted our 1 whole day, we had to manage without a guide, excursions and second half transport with a child. The least we expected from Get Your Guide was a full refund.
I will never book any tours from them, neither will I suggest anyone to use their services. They are not reliable. GoGoDay and C trip Japan sucks with foreign travellers other than their own nationals.
The location given to start tour was just the name of the neighborhood with no street address. We sent 6 emails for answes no reply. Didn't answer phone. Had to cancel trip.
I wrote a dozen times to the helpdesk and they just do not answer. It is an absolute joke of communication.
We booked a tour of the Alhambra in Malaga, Spain and when we received the confirmation it indicated that our tour was in French. I love the language but we don't speak it or understand it enough to have a tour, so we immediately contacted the site through their chat option and they told us we can only receive 50% refund. The request we made when booking the tour was for an english tour. This must surely be against the law, but we simply didn't have the time to deal with hours on the chat line and slow responses so we decided to forgo the $80. I do not recommend their services and we surely will never do business with them again.

CALLED AND EMAILED THAT WE ARE ON THE WAY AND IF THERE IS A POSSIBILTY FOR THE DRIVER TO WAIT. NO ONE REPLIED.
WE ARRIVED THERE AND OBVIOUSLY THE BUS AND GUIDE WERE GONE WHICH IS UNDERSTANDABLE.
CALLED CUSTOMERS SERVICE EXPLAINED THE WHOLE SITUATION AND RECEIVED A PLAIN ANSWER THAT IS THIS SITUATION THE POLICY SAYS NO TO A REFUND.
END OF STORY WE HAVE LOST £180
AND OBVIOUSLY WE DID NOT HAD A SECOND CHANCE TO VISIT AS WERE ON HOLIDAY.

It was my worst service experience in Mexico during my month of stay.
I bought a tour trip to Puebla (Mexico) on this service, but on the day of the group meeting, I was 10 minutes late. When I realized this, I informed the company, warned them about it, and asked them to wait.
They refused.
But I arrived anyway, there was no one there.
The company offered to reschedule the trip to the next day, paying an additional 20 dollars in fine. I asked the GetYourGuide intermediary if it was possible to make a refund in this case. They answered yes.
But the next day, I decided to pay the fine and go on an excursion because it was my last day in Mexico, and I wanted to see this city. I wrote to them about this and came to the time and place of the meeting. But the tour operator replied that I had to pay a new amount because the latter had begun returning funds for the failed trip.
I paid.
When I wrote about this to GetYourGuide, they said they would keep the funds.
The trip itself was transportation from point A to point B. Moreover, we spent only 2 hours in the city, which is not enough for such a place.
The guide spoke very little English, although the description indicated that the tour was in English.
So, I paid twice (over $100) for the bus service. Therefore, I recommend traveling from the bus station for ten times cheaper. And without the unpleasant aftertaste of lousy service.
I bought 4 tickets for the musical show "Cuban Under Stars" and whe we arrived there was not show at all. After we walked around and ask we will able to confirm that the show had endend a few weeks ago.
What an unforgettable experience! Really enjoyed every aspect of it. Was most certainly an adrenaline rush and our guide Biju was amazing and a really skilled driver! Highly recommendable!
I did a day tour of Barcelona on 2/2. The Guide Mateo was fantastic, but there was confusion over the meeting point and I missed my train so I had to pay $106 to buy another train ticket and cab ($18) to eventually meet up with the group. Mateo really tried to make things right, but I never heard anything from their customer service, chat, and phone functions. I wrote up a very long detailed review last Friday, but can't find it on here now (maybe they took it down).
I book a trip to Rottnest Island for 14 people from the start never got any help with questions or phone calls it took hours to get through with still no help. The worst customer service please don't book with these guys just go straight to company you wish to book with so much easier and straight up answers.
Do not be tricked into buying your tickets through GetYourGuide. Book straight through the company (the "activity provider" - Chicago Crime Tours and Experiences LLC) instead. GetYourGuide has no power and cannot help you if you have any issues. They can only help with issues if they have the activity provider's permission, and the activity provider gives a false number on its website.
My wife and I booked a slingshot rental while in Cape Canaveral for the day while on a cruise. Upon getting to the location, we were informed e did not hae a reservation. Despite having a booking number and confirmation from get your guide. I spoke with customer service, they apologized and said we would be compensated for any Uber rides we had to use for the day since it was too late to make any other plans. We submitted receipts for the Uber rides and even after several attempts, no response. Do yourself a favor, book with Viator, much better experience. I would not trust this company at all, why take the risk?
