Cannoli cake

My cake arrived frozen when thawed it was very dry and there was very little cannoli filling between the layers. It was such a disappointment for the expensive cake. Not worth the money. I would never buy it again.

I ordered off another website and when product didn't arrive, I ordered a similar product from goldbelly. It was scheduled for 12/21 delivery. I got an email saying delivery would be 12/22, the last possible day for me to receive my Christmas dinner. According to tracking info, it was shipped at 10:30 pm PST from the east coast to Ontario, CA, which is about a 6 hour flight. From Ontario, it needs to go to either Seattle or Portland. Seattle is about an hour drive and Portland is about 2.5 hours. So, if everything goes as planned, the package should arrive in Ontario, CA around 4:30 am PST. Then it will need to be processed and have another 2.5 hour flight to Seattle so it probably won't arrive in Seattle, in the best case, until about 7-8 am. Then it needs to travel an hour south to Tumwater, WA. After that it goes out for local delivery. I can't imagine it showing up on time. I could wait 1 day for delivery on 12/23, but UPS doesn't deliver on weekends or holidays unless you pay extra for it, which they didn't. So a piece of raw meat will be sitting in a UPS warehouse until 12/26 at the earliest. I don't know their schedule but 12/26 might be a holiday so it may not arrive until 12/27. My problem is it is right before Christmas. Don't promise a delivery date of 12/21 and then not have it arrive until 12/26 or 27. I will be shocked if it actually arrives today and it it does, I will recant my review, but I don't think it is physically possible for this to arrive later today or even tomorrow. If I had known they wouldn't be able to meet the deadline, I would have done something else. Now I am so stressed and exhausted about this that I haven't slept for the past 2 days and given it is 3 am PST, it doesn't look like a good night either.

DO NOT do business with this company if you're expecting delivery on date you requested. Shipment was sent from n.j.-miami-kentucky then finally to n.c. 2 days late. Only compensation offered was to purchase more stuff & then i would get a minimal discount. Would stay far away.

Buyer beware

I ordered a top 100 cake from Goldbelly. The cake was much smaller than expected and was very dry and tough. I don't know if it became stale when shipping or before it was sent. I won't purchase from goldbelly again.

Lied about shipping date

Lied about shipping date. Was suppose to arrive on my anniversary. It will not so I reached out was told they would refund for store credit. I mentioned I would not be shopping there anytime soon, if they could just refund my card. He came back and said they couldn't do anything after all. I said that is not fair to go back on your original offer. He goes back and then comes back and only offers half store credit. Total BS if you ask me. Will never buy from them again

Would give zero stars if possible. Ordered Cuban Sandwiches from Versailles in Miami. Meats and cheeses got there thawed and hot, considering is ham and pork they were not fit for consumption. Goldbelly acted like they have no control over the situation and refused to give me a full refund. Only a credit to once again use their substandard service. Needless to say I have launched a complaint through BBB, beware of this company or it will be an expensive mistake.

I do use Goldbelly. You can get some cool and good items even though pricey and customer service is very good. They do not let customers leave any negative feed back on the site which is wrong some items as not that good the site only has good and not some of the truth that is some products are average. A few stories are false like the Scopa cold cut story. Italian meats called cold long before she was born and $119 dollars for a total of a pound of meats and cheese you can get in any city for far less money is taking advantage should not even be a items for sale

No accountability

I ordered 8 pizzas from Imos Pizza w a 2 day delivery. 8 days later Pizzas arrive at room temperature. Shipper improperly prepared shipping product; no dry ice shipped in cardboard box, not Styrofoam container. Called Goldbelly Customer Service and they were not helpful. Buyer Be Ware, NO REFUND for incompetence on a pricey product shipped by employees that should know better.

ORdered 3 Buddy's pizzas for $100 to be shipped to my sister on her birthday. FIVE days later it shows up ruined. I was on hold for 45 minutes before I got the rude assistance. I was told it would take 10 days for a refund. I will NEVER order anything from this trash company again and neither should you.

The cookies that were ordered were old and had a strange odor. They arrived on time and I am sure they may have been good a month ago. Now if I want to eat them I use a kitchen mallet to break them down. L

The first pasta we had was bolognaise had tiny pieces of something which i assumed was meat. It was almost like jerky.
The second was mushroom ragu and it was so salty I couldn't eat it. The third pasta we haven't had yet, but I'm not hopeful. This was sent to us as a present and I don't have the order number

Order the crabs and shrimp was supposed to arrive on Friday did not show up until Monday. Not one thing in the box. Was cold sat in a UPS truck all weekend. Everything was wrapped in newspaper with the two lousy ice packs that couldn't keep anything cool for more than a day if lucky first and last time buying from this place order at your own risk

I suspect they are 'rolling around in money' after charging such ridiculous prices for shipping. We Also ship similar items - They are hindering the profitability of the companies they mislead

I find Goldbelly as I surfed the internet for a chocolate cream cake and I found Carousel Chocolate Mousse Supreme Cake and the Key Lime Pie. I ordered both ftom the Goldbelly site and I am impressed beyond measure. Both items arrived according to the time I was told they would be and they were oth packed carefully and securely and still frozen due to the dry ice. The Chocolate Mousse Supreme Cake was not only beautiful to look at, but it is delicious, the chocolate layer on the outside and the cake and chocolate mousse on the inside create a melting pot of flavors that play in your mouth and have you craving for more. The Key Lime Pie has this crunchy crust and this fluffy key lime filling that one may find theirselves eating slowly soas to prolong the tasting experience. I am so glad to have found the Goldbelly site. Also, the Chocolate Mousse Supreme Cake and the Key Lime Pie taste- Homemade and I felt and tasted the time that was put into both items. Thank you Carousel for an oustanding Cake and Pie and thank you Goldbelly for the care in shipping my order so that it seemed it came straight from the bakers hands to my table seamlessly.

Who doesn't love the idea of being able to get your favorite foods delivered to you across the country? It's a great idea, but the reality is far less than great. I ordered our favorite donuts for a very special event on a specific date. A box finally arrived at 7:30PM that day, and it was not my order. I received someone else's surprise birthday donuts, and unfortunately, we did not have the same taste in donuts. But even had it been correct, the first thing that struck me was the smell. The donuts clearly were not fresh. It smelled as if they had been frozen for a while. I did try one before throwing them away, and it was terrible. Maybe I had unrealistic expectations, but getting the wrong order of week old donuts that had at some point been frozen was not what I expected from reading the propaganda on the Goldbelly website. So, great idea. Horrible execution, and maybe understandably so. How can you provide a great experience when the food is going to be days old at best by the time it gets to you. You'd think it would be better given the price though.

Horrible customer service

Horrible. They sent me the wrong product and will assume NO responsibility for it. They don't care—and won't accept food returns. The pictures I sent clearly show a product that I didn't order…the receipt showed wording describing what I DID order, and the picture of the item in the box was something entirely different.
So I'm stuck paying for a lower priced item that I never ordered.
They are 100% wrong—and could literally care less.

DAMAGED PRODUCT

BUYER BEWARE! Just purchased a pie from Gold Belly and it was delivered on time, but the pie was crushed and the box was damaged. I contacted customer service and they would only provide a $15 gift card (The pie was $65 originally). This was my first experience with Gold Belly and I will NEVER purchase any products from them again! The customer service agent, Daniel, was very pleasant and apologetic, but in this case, actions speak much louder than words.

Very overpriced

I ordered two items from Goldbelly (specifically, Chesapeake Bay Gourmet): a sprial cut ham and "Maryland" crab cakes. Overall, the ham was good, but not greatly better than many of the spiral cut hams I have bought at my local supermarket. However, the crab cakes were truly awful. They were nothing like the crab cakes pictured in the advertisement. They were small and frozen on arrival. I hoped that they might plump up when baked, but that didn't happen. They were advertised as having been made from "high quality Maryland lump blue crab meat," but that was definitely untrue. The cakes were mushy and unappetizing and ended up in my trash. I made better crab cakes thirty years ago from cheap, canned crab meat imported from Thailand. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Goldbelly, nor will I be ordering again from them.
