I paid for expedite shipping on a scheduled day and it was a frozen product and it came 2 days late and was ruined and they are doing nothing. On top of the fact that it is the 3rd time they said something would arrive a certain time and didnt!
Goldbelly delivers rotten food and has the WORST customer service. If there are any shipping delays you can't get your money back and are suck with rotten food you have to throw out. This company is a joke and I am telling everyone I can to avoid them at all costs!

I have ordered from Goldbelly a few times and not had a problem until my most recent order. I think you cannot truly judge a company until you have a problem and see how they resolve it. The following is my experience, and I was told all sales are final, even if your order is lost by the shipping company. This has been a horrible experience, my daughter choose her birthday cake for her 9th birthday from the pictures on Goldbelly, and was very excited. Then I ordered the cake she chose, to arrive early so that it would be here for her birthday. It never arrived, FedEx had lost it, and we had to find a cake at the last minute. She was so disappointed that the cake she had chosen by herself and anxiously awaited, never arrived. Customer service from Goldbelly, Chelsea, answered my email when I was trying to get help with my order, the following day. She informed me that all sales from Goldbelly are final, and would I like another cake shipped a week later for my daughters past birthday or they would give me a Goldbelly credit that would expire in 60 days. As I had to buy another cake, and my daughter's birthday has passed, neither option was very good. I think customers should know that they do not have much recourse if their product does not arrive.

Ordered a perishable item for a party - maker of the product says it is good only 2 days after receipt so I have it set for delivery on a Friday for a Sat party. I confirm that it will be spoiled after Saturday.
The package shipped Thursday over night and was received Monday afternoon, 2 days after it was already spoiled, and 4 days after it was promised. And Goldbelly says it is not their fault and refuses to refund my money. That is Goldbelly's policy per their "customer service" that as long as they ship it, if it is not received until it is spoiled it is not their fault. So I am at fault for ordering? I get things happen but I wouldn't use them again ever based on the lousy customer service after it happened. How is it my fault if they deliver it spoiled? This is the banana pudding from Magnolia Bakery - Magnolia says good 2 days and delivered it after 4.
I ordered a cake for my son's party and it did not arrive on time. Goldbelly tried to blame slow shipping times for the delay, but they didn't even ship the cake until the day it was scheduled to arrive. They refused to refund my money. I would up buying another cake from a local grocer 5 minutes before party just so we'd have something. Disappointed by Goldbelly's lack of understanding.

Goldbelly is the WORST for sneaky business practices and bad customer service. My original order was "free shipping" with delivery the next day if I ordered right away. But when I went to order, "free shipping" was only available if I selected delivery in two days. So I selected the two day delivery and put in my order assuming I would receive it as expected. I grew concerned when I didn't receive the tracking number until very late the next day. I grew more concerned when I started receiving emails from Goldbelly warning of shipping delays. Then FedEx sent an email saying they "attempted delivery" which was not possible. I work from home and no delivery was attempted. When I contacte FedEx the story changed and I was told there was "no safe place to leave the package" but again, I was home and there was no delivery attempt. So my package would not be delivered until the following week by which time it would no longer be edible as this was a perishable order. I contacted Goldbelly to request a refund since I didn't receive my order on time but was told "all sales were final" and I would get a 60 day credit after which they apparently keep my $$ or they would reship the order for an event that has already passed. So now I'm out of $$ and stuck with food for an event that has already happened with neither Goldbelly or FedEx taking any responsibility. I've learned my lesson and warn Buyer Beware!

I ordered 13 bagels from Ess-A-Bagel through Goldbelly. The bagels were delicious and arrived on time. However, the order was duplicated and I received and paid for 26 bagels. I identified the duplication less than 12 hours after placing the order but it was too late for Goldbelly to cancel the second order.
Later, I returned to the Goldbelly website to determine what had gone wrong with my order. I don't think it was my error - the ordering process requires a determined effort to double your order. Astonishingly, while I was on the website, more than $100 worth of frozen pizza spontaneously appeared in my cart. Seems like a website problem to me. This does not happen to me on Amazon.
I contacted Goldbelly customer support and received duplicate confirmations of my contact. The duplicate confirmation is a minor annoyance but indicates problems in their software.
Goldbelly gave me a credit for the duplicate order. This is a reasonable resolution and I will use them in the future and be very cautious using the website.

Goldbelly delivered food product, in 90 degree heat, 3 days late. I spoke to vendor who stated the the product was not safe and should be discarded. I then asked Goldbelly for a refund, which they refused. They could only give me a credit. Why would I want to deal with this company again?
Everything I've ordered from Goldbelly has been as expected, and arrived on time. That gumbo from Commanders Palace tho. My happy place. Some stuff seems to be "sold out" and months later still hasn't come back like "prince st pizza", I wish they timed out the seller quicker so they restock or lose the listing. Shouldn't be sold out for half a year, that just means you stopped. But all in all, glad Goldbellys service is an option.

We have ordered from Goldbelly several times. Each time we have had a problem with our order. Those problems ranged from being delivered late to receiving the wrong items. We reached out to Goldbelly customer service to gain a resolution for each of these challenges. Their customer service response was to essentially tell us there was nothing they could do and give us a coupon for our next order. Their customer service is horrible!

Spent $150 on 3 food items from 3 different Goldbelly vendors. Two of the 3 food items were so bad that they were thrown out. When I contacted Goldbelly the said all sale were final and I was out of luck / options. This is not the way to treat customers and is not the way to handle vendor issues.
I would never use them again and don't recommend anyone else does!

This was my second time ordering from Goldbelly. The first time was a surprise for friends' birthdays and the order arrived 2 days late - it was disappointing because they had set aside the delivery day to be home to accept the package and cook their meal.
This time I ordered 4 bone-in ribeyes for when I was visiting the same friends. The order arrived a day late but when we opened the package, the ribeyes looked NOTHING like the picture on the website. (They have now since changed the picture) The original picture was a 2+ inch thick steak with trimmed bone. Our steaks were not even an inch thick and the bone wasn't trimmed.
I made 5 different attempts to get a partial credit from customer service - I didn't even want a full refund, just $40 back on $159. They refused and would only offer me $15 off a future order! Their "customer service" is infuriating and I (and my friends) will never order from Goldbelly again. Their stubbornness over $40 cost them a few customers and another 1-star review.

My daughter purchased, as a retirement gift for me, 1 dozen large male Maryland crabs from Cameron's Seafood via Goldbelly. As a native Marylander, I'm a seasoned veteran of crab catching, picking and eating. The crabs received were at best small to medium in size and were very light, meaning, very little crab meat. Smaller crabs can fool you at times and can be very full and meaty. These were far from that. Goldbelly has offered me a coupon for my next purchase, I'm not interested. Each crab cost about $12 and I know my daughter expected better quality at that price, we both did. C'mon man!

We do always ask that customers double check that all information is correct before submitting an order, and that they additionally check their confirmation email so that we can adjust an order if need be, as once the orders have been shipped it's extremely hard to get the order adjusted and make sure it arrives in good condition.

Answer: They aren't necessarily a scam, but very poor customer service policies. If anything goes wrong with your order, like it did with mine, they just blocked me from their Facebook page so I couldn't leave a review. It's just luck if your order arrives and looks as you would expect and if it doesn't you are out of luck. Just contact local bakeries or restaurants and have them deliver for you, no reason to pay Goldbelly and have a third party who cares nothing about your order throw it around in the back of their truck and deliver it trashed. Goldbelly is unscrupulous and a big risk of wasted money.
