I actually quit a few auctions because when I went to bid did not want to go through it all again, don't know why it's doing this. I log in, all good UNTIL I go to place a bid...

Hi Mark, thank you for sharing your experience. We understand how frustrating it can be to feel like you’re being asked for the same information repeatedly. To clarify, HiBid does not process payments directly. Each auction is managed by the auction company running it, and because of that, you’ll be asked to confirm or select a payment method when you register for a new auction.

The good news is, you can save and manage multiple payment methods in your HiBid account, which makes future registrations much quicker. Once saved, you’ll just need to confirm your selection for each auction rather than re-entering everything.

Side bidders?

The last five auctions on Hbid have been frustrating. I registered and started bidding and it seems like there are side bidders. My coins I bid on are from 1.00-1.50 and to me it seems like a side bidder pushes the coins I bid on to 3.00 and stops. Usually happens on pennies, nickels and dimes. This happens many times over the last 5 auctions. I wonder how many auctions this has occurred. It cost me extra dollars so someone vanake some extra money.

When a max bid is entered, the system will automatically increase that person’s bid incrementally, up to the maximum amount they’ve chosen. I have tried an online auction twice with the same company selling returns and open box items from a major home improvement store and both times I have received at least half of my items that are defective or completely broken. I know that they state that everything is sold as is where is and not guaranteed, but when a box is shown sealed and I buy it, it is a broken item or defective. When the item is good, they seem to share pictures of the item out of the box but it is taped shut when I pick it up. I tried this theory the last auction I bought from and bought two of the same item for two items. My theory seems correct. I received two good items and two damaged or non working items. I am willing to pay fair price, but the sellers need to be fair in their description and photos and not just show the good side of an item that isn't defective or just a box containing the item.

Great till the last couple minutes

When you have to go to the live bids screen, the refresh makes what your bid watching jump around. I almost lost a couple auctions cause I couldn't bid fast enough from losing the listing as it jumps around the screen.

Website freezes up

Auction conclusion

Good auction. Hope items are as good as presented on-line. I like the alarm bells when item has been outbid or won. I had an issue when my watch list items got close to ending. When bidding, the list didn't stay on watch list items only. Instead I was switched to live auction with every item for sale. Which confused me on focusing in on only my items selected. Very fast paced when multiple items are closing close together and not able to properly execute my bid plan. Suggestions on how to focus in on watch list items only would be appreciated. Thanks for a successful auction.

Lack of information

Rarely with any auction service is there enough information or pictures given to determine conditon or value. Rarely "tested, working or not working ". Or Car or boat has title or no title. If you call to get the specific info, they rarely if ever return the call. Just as bad if you email the auctioneer... If the item is damaged, rarely will that be mentioned nor will picture s of damage be shown...

It is the hardest to navigate through I have ever experienced. It cost me a lot of money because of the way you move things through. If your system ever comes again I just won't even watch the auction much less bid.
