I have made several purchases thru Jauce. The overall experience was satifactory through some improve areas I would like Jauce to consider:
When making particular bids where my deposit is not enough and needs to use Jauce credit amount and no matter how big or small the credits have been used, Jauce will raise reminder almost instantly asking for deposit even the credit amount being used is within the approved credit limit. Without doing that Jauce will refuse me to continue the bidding. This is an impolite attitude and Jauce has to understand that in most cases there were only a few minutes left before bids closing. Should I finish my deposit arrangement and get back to the bid, the bid may closed already. This needs to be changed.

I've purchased multiple 50 year old car parts that are just too hard to find elsewhere. Packaging has always been excellent. It's not the cheapest way to buy given the fees and delivery expense but in my experience there is very little risk. Highly recommended.

I have used this service a number of times and each time have not been disappointed. Communication is very good, the quality of the packing is also first rate with a very goof attention to detail.

Highly recommended.

I have won bids in the past and obtained good,,if expensive, service. On this occasion I won the bidding for a knitting machine Brother 970, which is an electronic knitting machine. What I received is not electronic, and did not have any electronic parts with it, what I received is as the photo, but never having owned one, I did not know this photo was not of the correct machine. I was unable to,contact the seller within the stipulated 30 days, and still have not been able to. What I received is useless. What a waste of money.
What a rip-off. Be warned. This is not all Jauce's fault, but a failure of the seller. Unfortunately the photos of what I received and what the electronic model 970 looks like will not load.

I have bought from Jauce several times. Here's my guide for others to use :) Auctions in Japan are super cheap - the yen is in freefall and there are SO many amazing deals you can find on the site. But please understand that the price you win an auction for is only 50% of the costs. Jauce is very clear about the fees they charge for their service. Make sure to read them.

Tips for buying on Jauce.
1) Do not just buy 1 item. International Shipping fees can almost never be justified if you only have 1 item. If you want to make it worth your while, you have to divide the shipping costs between multiple items.
2) Don't buy things you can easily access in your own country.
3) When bidding on auctions do not wait until the last 30 seconds. The connection between your IP address and Jauce's servers takes at least 1 minute to connect.
4) Identify an item you like. Save that category to your bookmarks. Makes it a lot easier to find similar products in the future.
5) The best deals are often the ones without time extensions.
6) Understand the fees.
Example:
If you buy a motorcycle repair item for ¥1,000 you also have to add:
- ¥300 Banking Fee
- ¥480 in Auction Fees (400 flat fee + 8% of auction price)
- Local Delivery Fee: A few offer this for free. Otherwise, you can check the description for what kind of service provider they use. If they write "yu-pack 60" you can go to yu-packs website and see the cost. Local delivery fee depends on the location of sender. Okinawa is very expensive. Jauce's warehouse is in Tottori so you calculate the price between sellers location and Tottori.
- International Delivery is expensive. Weight is very important. Be conservative in your estimates. 1 KG of products will cost between ¥1500-2500.
So if you win a repair item for ¥1000 - it will end up costing you around ¥3800. And that's without VAT, customs, and Jauce Deposit Fees (3.8%).

Overall, there are many really, really good deals on Jauce. I've bought things for ¥2000-3000 that would cost ¥******* in Denmark. If you are unsure about the price of an auction, it's probably not worth it unless you really want it. There are so many things on Jauce - be picky and you can find real gems.

Z-DRY
January 8, 2023

Thank you very much for the great service, in sending the Z-Dry guitar pickups I ordered. The communication throughout the process was outstanding, and reassuring, as I never ordered anything from Japan before. The packing was excellent and it arrived in perfect condition on Wednesday, January 4th. Please pass this on to the person who sold me the pickups as well. I have been searching for these pickups for a long time, and I really appreciate the fast service and the ability to obtain them at a fair price. I want him to know that these special pickups, by Jun Takano will be used and treasured, in the spirit they were made, to obtain the best guitar tone possible and to always keep an ear open for what is possible.
Thank you very much,
Michael Vaidic

I saw a product and use the estimated delivery fee that they provided me in the website to calculate if it really worth it. Then I bought the product and ask a order to ship it to my country. Then it came a surprise. The item is prohibited and nobody told me anything about it. Now, they say that the deliver fee is 7 times the one they gave me before! Yes, just to you have an idea, the delivery fee is 5 times the products I've bought. Note that it can be done with virtually any product that you buy, since it is only a estimator, and they could argue that even if the item is not prohibited the delivery method that you saw before is not available anymore for any reason. And then, you have already payed for the item and have to decide: throw then away or pay much more to have them.
Don't take the risk!

I really wish I could report that my experiences with JAUCE have improved. They haven't. Still lame. Still surprise fees (The latest was a surprise 'domestic' shipping charge that was 8 times! What I paid for the item... and was hidden from me when bidding BTW. Of course, JAUCE Customer Service is again, simply non-existent for the buyer. Very poor experience. My recommendation? Make sure you know precisely the Domestic Shipping charges BEFORE bidding on any item. You have to look after your own interests... DO NOT expect JAUCE to help.

My item arrived broken. The processing time for the refund was long, but finally the insurance was paid by JP and Jauce credited me for the shipping and other fees associated with this item.
Despite the delay, I am very happy with the outcome and subsequent excellent level of service.

Hello, I still don't get it, that you want to buy abroad like japan that's way far from yours. ( no pun intended)
There are things that you can't find it ( your stuff locally.). You'll find it in japan. But when you do find it, it's a jewel. Get ready to pay to lumpsum of money, you're lucky you found it. But you will be slap with import tax, if its heavy / electronics/ automotive. The freight is costly. Be prepare to pay. It will cost a leg and an arm. Just you to know. Don't be naive. It may ended up double the cost, once it reach your door.
Don't buy, don't look, dont' ever peek at jauce.com. If you're not ready to shell out your hard earned money. Because, it's like gambling, your mind will be drawn every time you're in your PC or laptop. Don't PEEK! THERE. Hard to find stuff, it's there... you've been warned. It's cheap but expensive habit. You have no business there...
