Stopped by PetSmart and asked for a price for trim and wash. Quoted $88.00. Dropped off dog and got call that due to heavy matting behind ears they would have to cut that area close and it would cost a little more. I went to pick up dog and they had shaved him. Then I went to cash register and they charged $154. To me that is more than a little more for what looks terrible.
We have been going to Petsmart the entire time for our dogs care. Our dog dies and they won't make an exception to the contract so you have to pay even though your dog has passed away. That's just so wrong on so many levels. I will never go back when we get a new dog.
I ordered Friskies cans of cat food online and then picked up the order in the store in Houston off of Tidwell. When I got home, 6 of the cans were badly damaged. I called the store and they said the only way I could refund would be to bring the cans back to the store. The manager was rude and a total,$#*!. I told him I was not returning the items because it was not my fault. Those damaged cans should have never been on the shelf for sale to any customer. I asked for a refund and he refused! I am NEVER shopping at Petsmart again. This has happened to me in the past, always give the dented cans to online orders.
I have been taking my dog to Petsmart dog grooming services at Chantilly, VA for over 3 years.
Today 05/11/2023, I was told that my dog had a drooling issue which is an indication of anxiety.
Going forward, I will be charged an additional $15.00 for the Express Service so that one groomer would care for my dog from beginning to end of grooming. I was told by Lorena, a manager and dog groomer that they're looking out for my dog's best interest as she could die from anxiety if placed in a kennel. It is obvious that my dog has been fine for the past 3 years with short, intermittent stay in a kennel. But as of today, I would have to pay $15.00 extra and stay in the store or in the parking to wait for her. This is Nazism in action, way to go Petsmart.
We have been getting our 4 lb dog groomer at the Clifton Park Petsmart in New York for years. We just had the last one Friday April 28th and we're extremely disappointed with all the hustles coming out of there. Here's the story.
We pay for nail grinding and grooming like we always do. We get the dog back and are told they could t grind her nails because she was being 'difficult'. How difficult can a 4lb dog be? Precedence shows this has never been an issue. Okay… fine, you've changed groomers and they're not as experienced. Then we see a charge for the dog 'being difficult'. What? So here's a dog that has come to this store for years and spontaneously is being difficult so you first don't complete the job and then you charge us some ridiculous charge for it? And then the audacity to 'encourage' tipping. This country has gotten out of control with tipping but it isn't the service persons fault. Corporations want to 'reduce expense' so they, which include restaurants and now these types of institutions, pay their service personnel nothing and force the responsibility for earnings to tips. What greed. So coming back to Petsmart; not only did you degrade your service, you added some 'difficult' gimmick charge AND you want tips? Enough is enough. This was a poor experience and one that used to be a good one for us. It points to greed in all fronts.
Emily at Albertville al pet smart is Amazing our dog can't wait until she sees Emily then when in salon she loves on Emily and Emily loves on her the whole store is great we visit every month
I ordered dog heartworm and flea/tick meds from Petsmart and the order would still be sitting in a wait file if I hadn't called to follow up. I contacted my vet to ask if he had heard from Petsmart because I thought the holdup was on my end. He hadn't received anything. I called Petsmart and was told that I had to submit the prescription to a website and when I spoke to the next person they told me that the order was on hold because they had been instructed to wait for paper copy of the prescription. I never agreed to that. I spoke with a supervisor who spoke with the pharmacy and a letter was sent to my vet who immediately approved the prescription. I heard nothing from Petsmart and called again to follow up. They told me the order had been released and would mail out that day or the next. I still did not hear anything or receive any email status correspondence so I called again and was told it wouldn't even be shipped until Thursday maybe —several days away. I escalated the call again to a supervisor who would not assist me and said she couldn't help or contact anyone about where the order was in process so I would have some real info and could plan accordingly. The employees at Petsmart appear to be untrained, unable to resolve a simple issue and unable to provide any kind of service — I have always had an easy time getting meds before but this is a nightmare. I will never use this company again and I recommend that everyone rethink them as a pharmacy resource. Terrible Terrible Terrible experience. I don't wish this frustration on anyone.
I took my dog in for a simple wash, dry and brush. And when I picked her up she was still wet and stinks! She smells more than she did when she went in! What the heck PetSmart!
I have shopped at the store for over 30 years, the reason I stopped is every time I go they are out of the products I came for shelves are bare! The employees are all so helpful and pleasant. But that's not enough to get me to go back I need food for my pets!
Jessie, in the Boynton Beach, FL location is a fabulous trainer. He has a lot of experience and is very knowledgeable. He makes the class fun and memorable! He's always available for help between classes. I recommend him highly!
I ordered a stand. They sent email on 1/5 that it was "on the way". I checked the tracking on 1/9 and it is still sitting at Petsmart.com warehouse. Customer Service says they will get back to me in 72 hours. Seriously, it's a large box, look for it and ship it... 72 hours... ridiculous. I'll stick with Amazon from now on.
They refuse to sell fish without giving excuses for buying more bigger and equipment for $20 fish employees hiding in the back office.
Went to PetSmart today to get a Beta tank.
Try to find an employee to help me with what I need for the Beta fish.
She had no knowledge about for anything I ask her like what tank, she could not even tell me the price of the tank.
Than when my granddaughter and me try to get some items together, with out help
I went to the register.
Well there were signs all over with fish tanks are 50% off.
And fish decorations buy one and 2nd 50% off.
She charged me for everything full price,
And try to tell me this is not true.
I walked with her to the ale and showed her the signs.
She gave me 1 item from 6 Items at a discount.
And argue with me about the items sre not decoration for the fish tank.
All the items exept the tank was on the same shelve with the sign all over.
A good thing there is a other pet store in Store in stafford I will shopping now after this experience.
There all young no knowledge, and are very bad costumer service.
I am very upset about how there ripped me off.
Peoples watch what there ring you up.
And if there do not get in contact with me to offer me something that was the last day I bought something in there.
My e- mail is *******@yahoo.com
I ordered an acrylic aquarium that Petsmart's webiste indicated was in stock to replace a leaking aquarium. I would not have ordered the aquarium if I knew it would have to be built. After more than two weeks the aqurium has not shipped, Petsmart says they cannot cancel the order as it has been sent TO BE BUILT. No indication of when it will ship. Terrible customer service, will not shop with Petsmart again.
I booked my first grooming 3 days ago and received a $10 off coupon. I went back to the app to retrieve it, when i was in the store, and could not find it anywhere. Asked the cashier if it was under my rewards, but nope. It had just vanished
On 10/20/22 I tried to schedule training for my two Poodle puppies with a wonderful trainer I met in your store a few months ago - I was online & I kept getting the message that my credit card was not accepted - I tried 8 times! In fact my credit card was accepted since I have 8 different charges on my credit card from PetSmart. I called my credit card company & they explained that since this wasn't fraud, I needed to call PetSmart which I called the Store and was told to call *******638 & was connected to Angelina who was rude to say the least and insisted I needed to wait 5-7 days to see my credit card refunded. I asked to speak with a Mgr and waited ~30 minutes and finally hung up. This morning I had an email from PetSmart explaining how credit card charges work - amazing customer service - stepping into educating me about credit cards. This email reinforced that I need to wait 3-7 days for ~$900.00 worth of credit & if I wasn't ok with that call back (why do I need to call back - you should just handle this!). The worst part of this is that I am so ANGRY & DISAPPOINTED I won't be using that wonderful trainer (Bobbi) for my girls.
My dog is a Maltese, age 18 months and 10 pounds. She is being denied service because she nips at the clippers and some other comment put in her file. Trying to get main office and the store to explain the policy and why a lap dog is too much for trained staff. Nothing but run around and no answers but my dog's file is noted so it is a problem getting her seen elsewhere.
These type dogs are not aggressive. The dogs are small at any age- is it that the staff is unsure about handling a small dog? Shouldn't trained staff be able to manage a small dog or have ways to do so? Looks like the updated grooming protocols made in 2018 after complaints of mishandling pets was a show or handling small dogs is not a skill set at the location near me.
Whatever the problem is, my dog needs to go somewhere and flagging a puppy that does not bite is a bit much. If the store near me or none of the other stores can manage her then aren't you all supposed to suggest a vet or something? That would make sense and be a better customer service move than denying service and making other pet store grooming competitors hesitant with your flag in her notes. Or is that your intent? Make it difficult on me, my dog, and for your competitors to make money from your inability to manage a small dog that is more bark than bite?
I made a reservation for both my dogs and I was 15 minutes late. They only had me down for a bath and brushes for my dogs when I had set it up for a scissors trim and requested someone who knew how to trim Australian shepherds properly for show dogs. When I got there the groomer wasn't even at the station when I was checking in which took the person literally 15 minutes to check me in and when she got there she said I was a half hour late which I disputed and said no I was 15 minutes late and she said that it was set up for only a bath and brush. I had been at the salon twice before and both times they buzz my shepherd's coat which I specifically said not to. The second time I refuse to pay because they did not follow the instructions I had left on how to groom my dog. This time when I called to make an appointment I said I needed somebody who knew how to do this type of dog and they said they would set my dog up with that person. Now when I went in they said it was only setup for a bath & brush and that they will not trim my dogs. There reasoning was because of the last time they didn't know how to do it properly so it seems like they're blacklisting me because they don't know how to trim Australian shepherds. So if you have an Australian Shepherd never go to a PetSmart if I was able to do it myself I would but I count on groomers knowing what they're supposed to do with this type of breed and obviously PetSmart does not have that type of groomer on staff here in Forest lake. The staff members were rude and I had to take time off from work so I could get to this appointment. They didn't seem to care about that and they're the ones that screwed up when they set up the appointment wrong and so my dogs did not get their grooming.
Answer: Way over-priced in store and on-line. Their treats program on-line is a joke.
Answer: I have no knowledge concerning your question. At our Petsmart in Sacramento they sell animal products; it's a store; not a place where dogs go to play. Dogs are allowed inside the store to 'shop' with their person, but the dogs must be on a leash, contained, etc.
