I ordered a ring dash cam in May with November 3 delivery date……still no product and no one returns emails or calls. Terrible customer service do not trust then
We have 9 camers and 16 door/window sensors along with a motion sensor and solar panels.
We pay for the yearly subscription that gives replacement on any and all devices. We are having issues with one of our cameras and we seem to be getting the run a around. The camera imagine is fuzzy and you cannot make out the imagine of a person. We sat on the phone with the very rude representative for over an hour getting every non-related answer they could find. Finally we got them to replace our camera. When they sent the camera we also told them the solar panel wasn't charging the camera anymore and to replace that as well.
We received the camera,but not the solar panel. Now we cannot charge the camera and was told to"sell it " and use the money to get a new panel. That's bs. Now we have been on the phone for another hour trying to get the panel replaced. Being told we would get a call back for the last 2 days. This is ridiculous.
I bought a ring doorbell pro 2 in February 2023. I didn't know at the time that ring required a monthly fee for the product to record. They give a one month free subscription with purchase, and everything was fine until the month was up. Then it's too late to get a refund. So now I'm stuck with a $200 doorbell that won't record unless you pay up
I'm very sorry I bought the product. And plan to buy another camera from a ring competitor that doesn't require a monthly fee
They dont send the police in emergencies. Very over priced decoration system. No good in emergencies. Customer service is painstaking. They send you first over seas to irritating foreign countries. They barely speak english and have zero knowledge of ring products and support. These devices are only good for looking around your property thrpugh cameras. Everything else is a gaslight and fraud. Save your money on the alarm system. They suck as a monitoring company
Just had a really long conversation with Ring customer service, absolutely nightmare I spend an hour explaining that I have a black screen for two days it was working fine from March 2023 and the lady keep telling me that the problem it with my internet and she is unsure why my ring it's working from beginning with my internet speed. She didn't wanted me to connect me to manager I know my rights, keep saying she will say the same thing. I finally spoke to manager she have helped me within 5 minutes. At the end manager have told me they have added some privacy zones to my camera by mistake that's why I had it all black for 3 days. Very not satisfied with customer service they have there.
Twice now I have posted something and been denied. First time a man came to my door and tried to open first. Knocked continuously until I asked him if I could help him. He claimed that the church had sent him door to door looking for money to feed his family. At best it's soliciting (I have a sign no soliciting). When I denied him of money he continued to beg and harass me. Second time the police were looking for a known sex offender. I pulled the post directly from the Dover police fb page. It was denied. Meanwhile there are helicopters looking and a dangerous man on the loose. I would love to know why they were denied.
Verification process takes you in circles. Poor design and frustrating. I have tried on several occasions to add my husband as a user. Good LUCK!
The app stinks. Try and change an email or an address or a card or that matter. All is clunky and the verification process is so demanding you end up going in circles... painful. It took a day to do 2 things.
My older ring spotlight cam outdoor worked much better at picking up motion then both of the newer models both plus version and pro version had better clarity but did not pick up as much motion as my older camera so I took the new ones back and hooked my old one back up and now it records motion more frequently than the newer ones did,
I am on a extended vacation in the Philippines as I am retired. I can't get in touch with Customer Service or Tech support. I can't sign into my Ring app. They require a code which is sent to my USA phone and my USA phone doesn't work here. Calling their USA phone number is too expensive for me here. I pay the yearly membership fee. I can't use it so it is a waste of my money. I am planning on replacing it with a different company.
After 15 months of purchasing my second Ring doorbell, the MIC stopped working. They got me to try everything and then said it was a hardware issue. They said it was out of the 1 yr warranty. They said they could give me a discount but that's it. I said why would I support your product if it only lasts just out of warranty. This was the second time this has happened. The first the battery wouldn't charge after 17 months.
Save your money and purchase a better product. They suck.
If i could give 0 stars I would. My husband passed away unexpectedly, and he was the account owner. I took over the account and wanted to continue using ring. I asked that they deactivate his account so it wouldn't renew automatically, and they refused! They said since i didn't have his login information that they couldn't do anything. Advised me to contact them for a credit if charged. Then said to dispute it with my credit card. They were not understanding at all and i cancelled all of my accounts with them and will be moving to nest. Do not recommend.

My Ring doorbell and cameras are strictly for outdoor use so I can see and record anyone coming onto my property. I love most everything about the cameras except for the fact that they're about as reliable 1992 dial up internet service. My doorbell especially only records 50% of the time on a good day. Customer service doesn't really help. The department that DOES help doesn't seem to know much and last time made me take the doorbell off, delete the ring app from my phone, restart my phone, reinstall the ring app, then set it up again. Didn't work. A month later still the same problem.
I have 1 of my cameras monitoring the dock on Lake Palestine. On 9/223 it caught 2 suspects taking the kayaks and putting them into the water and paddling away. The video was very clear and the police were able to ID the thieves and recovered my property/ This amounted to over $1500 for the kayaks. Great investment in security monitoring, The police were impressed with the definition of the photos and video which the camera captured.
I purchased $1200 + cost of security devices from Ring. I received defective piece of security camera. Battery just drains like crazy. I purchased solar panel. I kept in direct sun light, but camera shows disconnected from power supply. I did make sure that I plug correctly. I did reset. As per technical troubleshooting team, I charged battery 100%. Still, it did not work. Their technical guy told me that 100% battery can last long for 6 weeks if it detects 20 events for per. I just fully charged, and in over night, I kept in backyard where no event detected in night. It did drained 12% from 100%. Now, it is 88%. Even you keep in sun light, it never charges. Troubleshoot people will says that once you drain out, you need to charge 100%. If you do not charge 100%, it solar does not charge. They do not know how to fix. I wasted three times call and it never fixed. They does not returns money.
Ring only gives you a one year warranty on their products and when that year is up their products will begin to fail and they will not replaces it for free they will want you to pay for another one and then another one.So BBW buy beware.I recommend finding a company that's going to stand behind their products and merchandise and not to waste your hard earned money with Ring
Bought a hard wired ring device - worked with my house doorbell for 4 or 5 months; does not work now. Had an electrician out who said the ring doorbell needs to be replaced, Ring Customer Service keeps telling me I have to buy a "chime" package for it to work EVEN THOUGH IT DID FOR MONTHS.
I previously submitted an unhappy review because within the last several months I have sporadic Live View?
Today a Ring representative, Aaron gave me a call. Aaron stated he will discuss this issue with the developers. I informed Aaron I did not check Live View today to see if it is working.
As soon as I hung up, I checked Live View and today it is working!
I simply do not understand why I am having Sporadic issues with Live View?
I am a 5 year customer & greatly appreciate the concern & follow up by Ring! Hopefully Live View will continue to work!
My last Ring complaint now off to another product. Ring floodlight camera had one light start to "strobe" like a disco after two years then went out. One month later the same happened to the second light. Now the lens is hazy with virtually no view. I have polished as recommended in the ring neighborhood forum because ring doesnt have a fix. This last only a short while so the camera is useless as the lights have been for awhile. I purchased a second Ring with a single light for side garage door area before started having issues with the original. I broke a tiny brass pin by twisting the light on too far after installing and of course the light will not work. I've tried the Ring help line three times with absolutely no help. I'm not sure they understood my issues as I could hardly understand them. I'm too far into Ring $$$$ to continue with them. On to another Chinese made product? Only research will tell.
The response time of this app on my iPad Pro is pathetic. I get notified that there is motion and I click on the notification and then the wheel of death starts and I never see $#*!. My Wi-Fi signal strength is 53 and everything about the system is working fine, but the problem is the feedback to Ring.com, and then the processing time before it is returned to me. Honestly, it's the most pathetic piece of crap that I have ever witnessed. By something else.
Something fishy going on. Cameras can never show time of incident? On any camera that particular time is missing? (Wish I could show video how time is completely skipped over not on one camera but all of them (2) Said videos are kept at least 30 days yet on 9/14 can only go back to 8/31? If you question them they block you? Don't bother calling the police…they are the police. (3) Cameras never show mailman when he steps on my property (even though my property is well in view of my camera) but only when he gets to the mailbox. Things missing after you come back from vacation…no camera footage.
Answer: Most annoying product ever. Doesn't work but almost does. This makes you constantly fool with it thinking you maybe possibly actually got it to do something similar to what they advertise. But in the end you will be back to square one with a pricey piece of crap! Then after hrs of listening to customer services b. S. you realize you've been had. But it doesn't end there. You end up on sites like this trying to help others from making the same mistake. And trying to figure out when this hell will end!
