As many reviews before me, misleading information (doesn't say is used/damaged). I returned the item and I have not receive the refund in months.
It took 6 months for my chair to arrive because they sold me something they did not have in stock. It was filthy when it arrived, it wasn't packaged for transport, and it looked like UPS drug it behind their truck for the 1500-mile journey. It has since been falling apart because they stripped out some of the screws when they refurbished it and used improper hardware in other areas. I am unable to get them to respond for a warranty repair so I will likely need to order the parts myself from the manufacturer. It is an interesting idea (buying used office furniture) but I would recommend you look locally to deal with someone reputable. I would not recommend using Seating Mind.
HORRIFIC! Please do not order from this company! We purchased a NEW office chair not a refurbished chair, and they sent us not only a used chair but a damaged chair that was absolutely filthy with hair and some other substance all over it. They are charging a restocking fee to have me return their damaged chair. I also have to pay to have UPS pick it up because the chair is too big to put in my large SUV. The customer service was rude and unresponsive. Do NOT buy from them!
These ppl are the worst! First of all their website is very misleading! A friend of mine ordered a chair thinking it was new but it's actually used/refurbished. It didn't say anything on the top. We only saw that it's refurbished at the very bottom where ppl can easily miss it. And their customer service is a joke.
If used chair is what you want, check Craigslist, Ebay, or FB market place where you can physically see the product before paying for it.
Save yourself a HUGE headache. Very poor quality chair. Returned and it took 4 FOUR months to get my refund. Seatingmind is a SCAM - beware! Sent emails, voicemail, phone calls, text and they NEVER responded.
Again - save yourself a HUGE headache dealing with these people.
Purchased a Herman Miller chair from Seatingmind in May. Product was received promptly and was as described. The chair developed a crack in the arm cushion, possibly due to the support not extending the full length of the cushion or because of a material defect. I requested a replacement cushion, but was told that "the warranty doesn't cover that". There was no clause in the warranty that would have excluded this problem that happened after only 6 months of use. Customer support is not responding to my request for a reason why the item is excluded. Not happy about this experience.
I bought a $900 chair from them. When it arrived the box looked like it had been dropped off the top of their warehouse, holes in the side of the box, and 2/5 wheels had broken off and were actually missing from the box(holes in box). They were very delayed in responding to inquiry, made me send photos several times, offered to send me paint and replacement wheels even though there was extensive visual damage, and when they finally sent me return shipping label(and also denied a replacement chair) they delayed in refunding and when they finally did, they tried to charge a restocking fee which I am currently rejecting via credit card. This was a bizarre transaction and a first for me.
I responded to the last email from Seating Mind, and it bounced back as undeliverable at first, then blocked!
I ordered a "refurbished" (which is a fancy way of saying "used") Aeron chair and was very disappointed to receive a scuffed up, very uncomfortable chair, which was delivered to me in a box that looked like it had been dragged behind a truck. The wheel was sticking out of the box and the chair itself was loose in the box with one sheet of bubble wrap that had adjusted during shipping so that it was not covering the chair. The box was a "recycle/reuse" specimen. There were no instructions in the box, either. Furthermore, the chair was delivered more than a month after I ordered it.
As for the chair it was dusty and scuffed, and a truly boring, ordinary chair with only one lever for up/down and a knob adjustment that doesn't seem to do anything. As for comfort, the springs for the back were so loose I had to sit on the front of the chair to keep from falling back to a position that required me to reach for the keyboard. I cannot help but think that the chair was returned after it had been used for years and then shoved in a box and sent to me, without any "refurbishing". And for all that, I paid a whopping $557.
After almost ten back-and-forth messages the company agreed to a full refund as well as a waiver of the restocking fee. As well as needing to significantly repair the box to make it useable, I had to pay for a UPS pickup. Finally, after three weeks I received a refund, but it was $111 less than I paid. My email into the company requesting a "FULL" refund was met with a "we apologize, but there is a "significant cost involved in restocking" (20%!).
I think they are not considering the cost of aggravation and effort to rid myself of a substandard product. I also think they need to reconsider how much they are paying to whoever it is that sent the item. Their work is shoddy, and I doubt the chair will be treated with any respect during "restocking" (imagine it being thrown into a pile of "refurbished" chairs). I feel like I may as well have just sent them a check for $111 to avoid this whole unpleasant experience.
After 2 weeks of waiting for any kind of information to be sent to me, the feeling that I got scammed start to become very overwhelming. Reached out and nobody ever try to reach back out to me. I feel like they are out here trying to scam people. Cation ordering from this website. They're 5 star reviews look like bot reviews. Nothing about them are 5 stars lol. If you look at the 1 star reviews you'll see people in the same boat I was in. Im going to do everything in my power to have Google remove this scam site from top searches.
Took several weeks to receive the chair and the chair had several blemishes such as dirt, grease, nicks in the rubber and larges scratches on the stainless base. Not nearly as nice as the chair pictured when I purchased online. I'd describe the condition of the chair as average versus good / refurbished.
I've bought 2 Aeron Chairs, site said it was "open-box". They arrived and were ridiculously used – more than 10 years or use. It's a shame to call it "open-box" in the first place. On top of that, both were incredibly dirty, with lots of grease and hair stuck in the wheels, and one was simply broken – one arm rest wasn't moving sideways as it should. Ridiculous used stuff sold without the most basic cleaning nor refurbishment as "open-box". After a long discussion, they accepted to take one back, I've shipped it to UPS and they never refunded a single penny! They claim "the refund system is broken"! It is ridiculous, I wish I had researched more before buying, because it is not unfair to call those folks scammers!
Received broken chair, returned the product but yet to receive refund after 6 months. They came up with lame excuse, they have big in the system and not able to process refunds. I even did transaction dispute with the credit card company.
Please avoid this company, they are shameless, that's all I can say...!
This is the second time I have made a purchase with seating mind. My wife loved my chair so much I bought her one. Website is very easy and user friendly.
Once you buy a chair online you are not sure if you will ever get it. They want to have a review of the buying experience and I do not even have the chair.
Look somewhere else, this chair makes a lot of noise, sounds like something is breaking, the cylinder leaks a little and there base of the cylinder is cracked
On April 28,2022, our small organization spent $6650. 00 on their site for 14 office chairs. Two of the 14 arrived missing parts and one arrived with a defective seat. First, they told us to disassemble the seat and they would send us a new seat. We do not have the tools to do so. And we relayed that to them.
Then they told us to return the chair and they would replace it with another one. It's been weeks and we are still arguing with the customer service department about getting replacement chair and the two parts for the other chairs.
They won't provide a box to send back the defective chair, although their website stated that they would. And, to add insult to injury, the website says we have to pay for the box, which we agreed to do.
But now they won't provide one. NEVER AGAIN.
Worst company I've dealt with and I'm been running organizations for four decades. Tell everyone to avoid them at all costs.
Purchased several years ago and very happy with that first chair and everything worked as expected. Ordered a new chair this year for family member and it did not extend or lower and received without the upgraded wheels we paid for. Contacted customer service and have not been able to get anywhere with repairing chair or getting the upgraded wheels we paid for. Realize this is refurbished, but paid a lot of money for this to work out of the box. Customer service asked me to remove covers and send pictures, but then does not follow up at all and eventually stop responding. Horrible customer service from once a reliable company. They have gone down hill!
Per my previous review, I mentioned I would strongly consider ordering office furniture from seatingmind.com. They did not disappoint this frequent flyer! Our organization has grown, and we were in need of a new reception desk office chair. The boss appreciates high quality, and I appreciate an opportunity to save a little money where we can, while still maintaining that standard. Found a GREAT refurbished Herman Miller chair that was absolutely perfect for the space and added a touch of class to our reception area. I love it and again highly recommend seatingmind!
I ordered some chairs from them. They were supposed to be all black and one came with a light grey seat so I contacted the via email since they have no way to call. They said they were sending out the correct seat but it would take a couple weeks to get there. Upon arriving 4 weeks later. It was the wrong color again. They said it was now past the 30 day return policy and they are not going to do anything else to redo the problem. They said we sent a seat that's all we are going to do. Would never use this business and would recommend it to anyone. The customer service is a joke and they don't seem to care that I spent $1200 and it's the wrong chair. Run from this company and find a reputable vendor.
We purchased our Herman Miller chair about 3 years ago and were very pleased. They one day the hydraulic cylinder failed. The seat went to the floor and would not come up. I contacted SeatingMind, they directed me to the warranty page which stated "The warranty covers the entire chair's mechanics for 12 years from the date of purchase". But customer service response was "Since the chair has been in your possession for 3 years and it worked just fine the cause of the cylinder failing is NOT under our responsibility". How's that for a 12 year Mechanical warranty.
Answer: Good question. Every other review site hammers these guys. Beware. This is rigged.
Answer: Honestly. With how I was treated. These guys must be mafia.
Answer: This company may be legit, but from the research I have done online after my purchase experience with them, they totally scam people with their outrageous "restocking fee" policy.
Answer: Prices. But you're getting used stuff in god-only-knows condition. Stick with garage sales. These guys are shady. Beware.
Answer: They're all used with blemishes and they don't always send what you order.
