This company will steal your money. I purchased a chair and realized it was the wrong size. I canceled the order before it shipped. I was told by email my account would be credited in 5-7 business days. I've contacted the company many times to be told I've been refunded, it's between my bank and I and it takes 3-5 days. It's been almost two weeks. My bank is investigating the situation. The other thing I noticed about the transaction was it showed as recurring. This was a one time purchase! NEVER BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY.
I ordered what I thought was going to be a new chair on 2/28, After a month i canceled my order and requested a refund. On 3/25 the company responded that the order was canceled and that I would receive a refund in 5-7 business days. It's now 4/16 and there is no refund. All those who have received poor treatment, I urge you to take action. File a report with the BBB and and the State Attorney General Office. I see that there website lists them as in NJ but BBB has a Brooklyn NY address for them.
I ordered a $600 Herman Miller chair from Seatingmind 6 weeks ago, and they still have not shipped anything. After not hearing from them for the first 2 weeks after placing the order, I reached out to their customer service who promised the chair "would ship in the next 7-10 days". Now 6 weeks in and still no chair. They've also become unresponsive. STAY AWAY FROM THIS VENDOR.
I purchased a chair online which arrived damaged and in a battered rain soaked box. I tried to exchange it for a different chair. I called 5 times but could never get a call back. I sent 15 emails back and forth with the worst customer service agent ever, who never answered any of my questions, and I couldn't get her to escalate with a customer service manager and I could never get someone to call me. Ultimately I sent it back and paid a 20% restocking fee and am going to go buy a chair elsewhere. I strongly advise you to not purchase from this company. PS I also couldn't post a review on their site.
Completely misrepresented the color of the chair we purchased, claims to be brown, and pictured as brown. Received a puke yellow color that couldn't pass for brown on a black and white television. Was offered to return with a 10% restocking fee, pathetic service.
Well, here we are, I sit in my Fern that just arrived maybe a few weeks later at most from purchase date.
I know the reviews SM has. Let's be honest, they arent good. They're a deterrent. Yet I took the chance and purchased from them anyway. Thankfully I live in NJ as well, where they ship from so that might account for the shipping time. The chair was missing a wheel but one could attribute that to the carrier. The condition said new, and it is in fact new. Doesnt come with papers or anything just the chair and thats that. The picture represent exactly what youll be getting.
The chair itself I wont really go off on because you can find enough information online about that. Honestly, I would purchase from SM again, considering this experience and price. I even emailed SM to ask about the chair to confirm what it came with features and all, and although responses did come back about a day later around 6pm est, they did respond, multiple times at that. I honestly dont know if i got lucky or maybe the demographic of those who buy office chairs are... just not right lol. Either way, A fair transaction, I paid (less than half normal price) and received a product as promised. Cant really say much that was negative about this whole experience.

I ordered a Herman Miller Aeron in Size C. Paid extra for the larger size. At shipping time, they changed the shipping email to Size B and sent a SIze B. I called customer service and all they did was ask me if I wanted to keep it. There are no Size C available so they sent that. Oh wait, and they kept the upcharge. Cust Svc refuses to address the issue. I dIsputed on my credit card. Then they sent me a return label. These people are not reputable as many reviews on this site show. Give them your credit card at your own risk, as you have been warned,
I bought a Herman Miller Aeron chair. It came broken. Customer service does not respond to emails for voice mails. I called Herman Miller to see if they could help. Seatingmind.com is NOT an authorized dealer so should NOT be selling their chairs. A REAL chair includes a warranty in the shipping container, this did not. I would like my $1100 back from this company. I plan on disputing all charges with Visa and am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Unfortunately, I have no chair and might be out the $1100. JUST SAY NO TO THESE PEOPLE!
I ordered a Herman Miller refurbished Aeron chair WITH Posturefit from Seatingmind.com on Oct. 6th 2021. This chair was delivered on Sunday Oct 24th 2021. Upon receiving the chair, I realized the Posturefit was missing from the chair. I contacted Seatingmind.com via their support email the same day (Sunday 10/24/2021). I received an email from Lenna in their Customer Service department the following Monday (10/25/2021) at 5:30AM. She requested pictures to show which piece was missing. I sent these pictures approx. 4 hours, after they were requested at 9AM. I have yet to hear back in regards to my Posturefit. I left a message on their Customer Service phone number on Wednesday 10/27/2021, no response back. I sent another email on Friday 10/28/2021 letting them know this was my third time reaching out and I have yet to hear back from my initial complaint. Still no response. It is now 11/3/2021, nearly a full month after my initial order was placed and I have yet to receive my PosturfFit piece nor an email back communicating how we can rectify the issue.
I will update this if it is fixed, but I'm beginning to believe that I was thrown a bait and switch.
My Aeron chair broke within 18.months of purchase.
They will not honor the terms of their warranty and repair the chair. And they will not give me the manufacturing information / serial number I need to file a claim with the manufacturer which makes me wonder how honestly the company acquires their merchandise.
It took 3 months for them to send me a.replacement part and they sent it without instructions.
I strongly advise against from buying from Seating Mind. I had a problem with an order and have gotten no response to multiple emails and voice mails. My next step is to contest the purchase with my credit card company. Very disappointed with the company. Stay away!
I ordered two chairs with Soft Rollerblade Casters. I received the chairs but did not receive the Soft Rollerblade Casters. I called and emailed customer service numerous times but they never responded.
I was scammed into buying an older model chair Aeron (had all has no labels or serial #'s on it) which I thought was going to be new. Herman Miller chairs are supposed to have a 12 year warranty but they will not honor warranty because I have no paperwork from a authorized dealer. Seatingmind is NOT an authorized dealer! Also they put a monthly recurring charge on my card which my credit card company is now investigating. This site should be shut down.
This is the worst company to work with. The only thing they have going is a pretty website. Its the website that caught my attention.
I bought my chair from them. The site stated it was leather. And theirs a price diffrence of 200 more for leather.
When the chair arrived. It was packaged in a box that looks like it was destroyed and just used one more time for my delivery. It was hanging together by tape. Just a mess upon arrival. I wish there was a way to post the pics.
We opened the box and the chair we paid 699 for was not leather... It was cloth.
I sent a message to customer service and they sent back and automated response.
I've waited 1 month for a reply and nothing... nada no reply from their customer service.
They had reviews posted on their website and the reviews were cherry picked.
Then I google " Seating Mind Reviews"... WOW WOW WOW... I have never seen a company with so many negative reviews.
These people are crooks and do not ever respond. I don't expect a return reply. Because their reviews are the worst. And their customer service is absent. If not blatant and intentional "ignore the customer"
I believe in karma. These people will get their own in time.
And I will copy and paste my truthful experience of this company.
Later, i realize that the usage of a good chair is used daily. Moving forward we will just buy the product from the actually vendor as oppose to rolling the dice with some scam company.
I purchased a used Steelcase Leap V2 chair and when it finally arrived over a month later the metal support bracket in the back was snapped in half. Not only was it a safety hazard (I got a deep cut on my leg when I lifted the piece out of the shipping box), but when I contacted customer service it was an absolute nightmare.
- It took forever to actually get a response
- Jacob at Seatingmind said they would ship me a new chair
- MONTHS later after multiple emails Lenna clarified that I would need to ship back the original and only then they would replace it. The packing materials were long gone, and at this point I lost all faith in their ability to follow through.
I will never purchase from Seatingmind again, and I will warn everyone who considers them to go shop somewhere else. The discount is not worth this level of stress.
Within 12 months, the chair's frame broke and I was then then informed that this normal wear and tear would not be covered by them. Very disappointed with customer service AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
They are located in NJ, according to the BBB site they aren't licensed merchandiser since 2017. I had to send a nasty email and disputed the order with my credit card company before I heard anything. The email that it was sent to is *******@gmail.com, Abe Berkovitz. I hope this helps someone.
DO NOT BUY FROM SEATINGMIND. We purchased 6 chairs from them. We received 2 of them that were defective. We reached out to them provided pictures and a video and still to this day we haven't received the replacement arms and it's been almost a yr. They do not stand behind the product they sell.
I purchased a $600 Aeron chair which proceeded to fall apart about 2 months after I bought it. When I tried to get them to do something about it, they ignored me and ignored me. They finally contacted me once I posted a negative review on them. They offered me a refund and a pre-paid return. I accepted and then they went back to ignoring me. They claimed it "was very hard" because with the 4 months it took them to ship it and then the months they ignored me - it was now over 6 months and this made it VERY hard to get the return approved.
They now have completely ignored me. The promised me a return label to stop me from posting bad reviews - and now they ignore me completely.
Product falls apart and then their "customer service" team ignores and does what they can to no stand behind their products.
