Shoes Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is significantly marred by persistent customer service issues and a frustrating return process. Many customers report long wait times and ineffective communication, leading to dissatisfaction and a lack of trust. While some reviews highlight the quality and comfort of the products, these positives are overshadowed by complaints regarding incorrect orders, inadequate support, and hidden fees related to returns. Overall, the sentiment reflects a growing frustration among customers who feel misled and undervalued, prompting them to seek alternatives from competitors known for better service.

The company sent me the wrong shoes and then would not do anything to reimburse me for my inconvenience of returning shoes back to the company. Unbelievable. I have worked with other vendors before who had provided a discount/promotion code for the customer's inconvenience since it was their fault. They really did not care.

Sent me mismatched shoes. My mother had to wear for a wedding she put them on without checking but after being uncomfortable in them noticed they were mismatched. Shoebuy refused to take them back and send me the correct size. Worst experience ever.

I ordered some shoes but they shipped them in 2 separate package. Because I am using shipping forwarder company. And I have to pay for the repack service.

Orders take forever
April 13, 2013

Orders take forever. If you're accustomed to placing orders on the Internet and receiving your goods within days, DO NOT expect this kind of delivery from shoebuy.com. I purchased shoes they were featuring in a call-out box on Sunday, April 7 citing a 3-10 business day delivery. 6 days (5 business days) later, my shoes haven't even shipped yet! If they ship on Monday, they could take up to 5 business days to arrive by Friday with their UPS ground free shipping offer, which is the day of my event. I thought I was being proactive placing an order 2-weeks ahead of when I needed them by, but I guess I've been a little spoiled by Internet mail order companies who try to impress you by consistently beating their deadlines. Word to the wise: when Shoebuy.com says it could be 10 business days, they mean it!

If you order from Shoebuy.com Private Events, be prepared to wait for your items... and wait... and wait. I ordered some shoes and was told that they would ship in 1-3 business days (I have the confirmation email that shows this). After 5 business days, I noticed that they had not shipped so I called. I was told by a CSR that orders from the Private Events take a little longer and that they would ship in a day or so. So, although I wasn't happy, I said ok. Well, 9 business days came and they still had not shipped so I called again and happened to get the same CSR that I had talked to the previous time I called. I explained to him how frustrated I was and what he had told me; well, he basically proceeded to call me a liar and said that he would never say that and started arguing with me. I am a customer service representative myself and if I had ever treated a customer like this, I would have been fired on the spot. So, I got the run around again about the shipment and I requested to speak to a manager. So the Call Center Supervisor gets on after a few minutes (during which, I am sure the other guy was telling him what a nasty person I was) and proceeds to tell me how sorry he is and that he would personally contact the warehouse and make sure they shipped that day and that he would call me and send me an email to confirm. Guess what? I never received either one (surprise, surprise). I finally received an email telling me that they had shipped from someone else. I was not happy that they took so long or about the way I was treated so I shot them an email explaining my frustration (basically like I am doing here). I have yet to receive anything back from them regarding the issue. I figured maybe if I put it out for the public, maybe I would get a response. We shall see. Thank you for listening (or reading).

Shoebuy sent tracking information for the item I ordered. When it reported that my purchase was delivered to an address in another state, I called Customer Service. Customer Service said they would put a "tracer" on it. A week later, no word from Shoebuy. Two emails and another telephone call later, Customer Service told me the address it had been delivered to was their New York warehouse and they were pretty sure it would ship to me shortly. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and the supervisor eventually admitted they had no warehouses in New York and she had no idea where my purchase had gone. Bottom line, I'll probably never see the order, and they'll never see my business again.

It seems like other people had difficulty with returning items. I guess I just never had this problem, because I liked the items I bought. I am really into nine west. I was able to get three shoes that were cheaper on this site than anywhere else. They didn't take long to arrive, and I was really happy with them. I feel that this site has a great selection of items at a good price.

I ordered three pairs of boots, and when I received them, two pair were COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than what I had ordered. Both were cheaper, poorer quality than the originals I had chosen. They would not exchange them, and would only issue me one label for the return of both. Yea, try finding a box large enough to fit two pair of winter boots because I couldn't. I ended up being able to return only one pair and keeping the other (and losing $20+!) because I just couldn't find a box large enough to fit both pair. They charged me a restocking fee for their mistake, and won't refund it! Stay away! I had done a LOT of business with them, overlooked some things, and my customer loyalty did not matter one bit. Rude and illegal, Shoebuy will cause you nothing but headaches. Really, help yourself and stay away from this terrible company!

Customer servise and return policy are very poor and almost against the customers, especially the international ones. In my opinion from the moment they take your money they do not care of any problem that may occure... Just try to return something and you will see what i mean!

Disappointed to find that the "FREE OVERNIGHT SHIPPING" they tout was a sham. There was no place to enter the magic code at Checkout, so I called in mid-order to inquire, and was instructed to complete the transaction. She assured me that she had changed to the FREE overnight shipping, rather than the 7 day ground. That was 5 days ago, and when tracking the UPS delivery, I see the order MAY arrive before Christmas... or not! (A good 8 days after the order.)

This is a great site for many reasons: They offer free shipping and free returns. They have a large selection and competitive prices. They frequently feature discount codes of around 20% off and occasionally send members perks like $20 off your purchase. Plus, members always get an additional 10% off if they've made another purchase within the past month or so.

I love this site so hardcore. I've ordered tons of shoes from them over the past several years and saved more money than I can even count. I don't really care for the "private events", as there are shipping charges involved with these, but the general promos are crazy awesome. This site has let me score Sketchers, Crocs, and other name brands for a fraction of what I'd pay at the mall.

I never write negative reviews but I just HAD to get my opinion out there on this one. I am so disappointed the cozyboots.com return policy and customer service. After ordering some uggs in the smaller size that their website recommends I tried them on at home and realized they were way too small and painful to wear so I promptly sent them back only to get them returned 3 weeks later with a note stating they could not be exchanged for another size because they were worn. I called to explain that they were not "worn" but only tried on to determine the fit at home. After calling multiple times, waiting on hold for long periods of time, being "promised" a call back from the supervisor, then finally the manager I was treated EXTREMELY rudely by Laurie (manager) who was completely unhelpful. I thought paying nearly $200 for a pair of boots would get me some sort of customer satisfaction but clearly there is none. I am now stuck with boots that are too small. I will NEVER use cozyboots.com or it's sister-site shoebuy.com! They are horrible! I will only make my future purchases at retail stores that offer reasonable return policies, not fake ones!

I purchased a Fedora hat through this company and their Amazon storefront. The hat's a pretty nice hat, and fairly expensive as far as hats go, in my opinion, but I'd purchased it as a gift for my husband since he'd been wanting one for awhile.

The hat, though, was too small. However, since I'd actually been thinking ahead (for once), I'd purchased the hat with plenty of time to wrap it for his birthday and by the time his birthday came, he opened it and tried it on, etc., we had exceeded the company's 60 day return policy by about 30 days.

Figuring since I didn't really want to return it, I just wanted to exchange it for the next size up, I contacted them through Amazon. They finally responded after about a week, telling me sorry, they can't help me since their policy dictates that there is a 60 day return policy, but they strive to make their customers happy and they hope I am and will shop with them again.

What the...? Ok, they must have misunderstood that telling me no to an exchange certainly will not make me happy. So I reply and tell them that since it was obviously my bad that I was outside of the return policy, I'd gladly pay for return shipping both ways (me returning it to them; them shipping the next size hat to me). Seems fair and reasonable, doesn't it?

Two weeks go by with no response. I send another email; another week goes by. I finally sent a third email threatening to report them to the BBB... that one got a very prompt response, but they were still not willing to work with me.

Bottom line is that this company has very poor customer service if they're not willing to work with a customer who doesn't even want her money back. They claim they can't help me because they have to maintain their integrity and I'm no longer in the 60 day return window stated in their policy.

It's my opinion, though, that they'd do much better to bend the rules and make one customer happy, than to "maintain their integrity" by being rigid. After all, people who have poor experiences are much more inclined to leave bad reviews (this one case in point) than people who have no problems whatsoever. Going out of one's way to make a customer happy can only benefit the company.

I've only ordered one pair of shoes from here because of their 15% discount at the time for first time purchases. I ended up returning the pair, but I had no problems receiving it and shipping it back as well as receiving the money back. I think Zappos and Endless might have more selection and trendy shoes, but they've got a fair selection too - although as others have mentioned, sometimes their prices are high comparatively.

I purchased two pair of shoes but only received one"
6/8/11
I purchased two pair of shoes but only received one. Have written to them many times asking for an answer to this problem but to no avail, they ignored me. They need to pick up their act. DO NOT BUY FROM SHOEBUY.COM They still have my money.
Note MY money NOT theirs!
This was only my second purchase and the first one was good.

I think their shoes are expensive but they have some very nice shoes that I can't get around town. There is a huge selection of shoes and good ones too. Like I said, though, the good shoes are expensive.
