I was repeatedly lied to about delivery dates and now my niece won't have a Christmas present. Paid TWICE for rush to get guaranteed delivery so they are also thieves!

I ordered custom Christmas cards on December 15. Shutterfly produced the cards correctly but then mailed them to me in plain paper envelopes. There was no cardboard backing, no plastic wrap, nothing to protect the cards from damage. They arrived crushed, bent and wet. When I called Shutterfly, they offered a refund but said it was too late to reprint and reship (even though their website was still saying it wasn't too late to place super-rush orders for Christmas). I'm really sorry I relied on Shutterfly for my cards and I won't do it again.

TERRIBLE!

DO NOT use this site if you are getting products shipped to Canada. I ordered Christmas ornaments for my children on November 27th and still have not received even though they were to be delivered between December 8th and 15th. E-mailed site to confirm when I will receive and they have no way to track so they have no idea. I called and spoke to three different people and asked them to re-send expedited shipping so my children will get their ornaments. Apparently, they only ship one method to Canada... SUPER SLOW. They say that they don't consider my order to be lost and still expect it to arrive even though they really have no idea since they can't track it. I asked for my money back and they told me to return the package once it does arrive and they will refund HALF of my money, not all of it. Really? So when my Christmas ornaments arrive in January because they are incompetent with shipping, I can return and they will give me half of my money back? I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE AGAIN! I ordered Christmas cards and photobooks from picaboo.com and everything arrived within 3 days! That is what I call good service... they will get my business going forward. BEWARE - DO NOT USE SHUTTERFLY!

I contacted shutterfly today regarding my order, I ordered it all at once, it arrives in 6 boxes, 2 of which are missing. The site does not say it is in USD when you checkout! I was charge an additional $100 for the exchange! I asked about this and was told it's a US based company, I should know this. The order I see on my end does not reflect discounts per item just as a whole, it is against policy for them to give me a breakdown! WTF! Against policy! It says I was charges $131 for shipping! I had a free shipping code. I spoke with a supervisor who was extremely rude and told me to send the products back! And would send me a break down within half hr of our conversation, which still has not

DO NOT USE SHUTTERFLY!

We have used Shutterfly for the past 5 years. This year will be the last. We ordered Christmas cards on November 26th 2015. We received order confirmation and were notified the cards shipped the 28th. The promised date was December 9th. We continued to check the "track it" feature on the web site, however there was never an update or tracking info. Finally we called shutterfly and sat on hold for 25 minutes. A customer service rep checked the order and hung up while trying to blame UPS for the missing order. My husband called back and sat on hold for 50 minutes to speak to a supervisor. She also attempted to blame UPS. The supervisor finally admitted they lost the order. She stated the order would have to be reprocessed and hoped they could be delivered by December 14th. Amazingly I have checked Shutterfly reviews on many other review sites and we are not alone with our experience. What a joke! This company shouldn't be in business! Do yourself a favor and have your precious memories put in print with another company!

Don't stand

I ordered holiday cards from Shutterfly and was given a delivery window of December 7th-11th. At this point, they won't arrive until December 15th at the earliest. UPS told me that if Shutterfly would upgrade my shipping to ground, I could get them sooner. Shutterfly refuses to do this even if I pay for it, insisting that my cards will not really be late until after the 15th, despite the fact the my original delivery window was for delivery by the 11th at the latest. I order a lot of things online at this time of year. I understand that there can be shipping delays. But every other online retailer I have dealt with has been better able to back up their delivery guarantees when things go wrong. Don't order from them unless you leave in several weeks wiggle room because they will not stand by their delivery promises.

I ordered Christmas cards November 20.4 weeks later I still don't have them. They say they should come by December 20. The absolute WORST! When I call they keep saying tomorrow, they can't track either. Beware!

Shutterfly has done nothing more than run in circles telling me many different stories about the location and/or production of my Christmas cards. I spoke with a department head who assured me they would be shipped and to me by the latest possible arrival date estimate... well, still not here! I've given them more than an ample amount of time to produce and shop my product. I WILL NOT USE SHUTTERFLY AGAIN!

Order two pic books. The pic quality was very poor so we were told to return for a full refund... we dif and the wouldn't give us a full refund in the rnd after many calls and hours of phone conversations. In the end it cost us 20$ and we got nothing in return but a head ache and still have to order new pics from a different company

I have been using online photo sites for over 10 years. Used Shutterfly.com, successfully, when they first started. The user experience in 2015 was far different. A struggle. The site continued to freeze up. I finally got my order submited mid November. Shutterfly charged $7.99 shipping on 100 4x6 prints. They shipped it out UPS who moved it to U.S. Post. Post office said it was undeliverable. Shutterfly told me to go visit the post office to track this simple package down - or wait till it gets shipped back to them so they can try shipping it again.

I ordered these simple photos November 15th. Will I get them by Christmas? I have spent too much time on this project. Will never use Shutterfly again. Will probably use Adorampix even though they cost a bit more their customer service is excellent.

Wish I had read ALL of the bad, horrible reviews BEFORE I had ordered my photo book for my father's 80th birthday. I ordered well in advance, paid for fast shipping, kept checking on my order which continued to say "In Production". I called, they told me there was a problem and they messed up the order. They would remake it and send it as soon as they could. Customer service is AWFUL. Company is AWFUL. So disappointed, so angry and NO ONE cares at Shutterfly. After the hours I have spent making the book I have no book, no answers... COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!

Special gifts

I received personalized charm bracelet as a gift and it had photos of my grandkids on the charms. It is just the most precious gift. It really is so unique and one of a kind. Shutterfly was used to make it and I in turn used it for a friend of mine for her birthday gift. You really feel special when you receive a personal gift like that.

Updated review at CHRISTMAS: NO CHANGE. I would like everyone to know that while Shutterfly replied with lip service on a couple of review site they have done NOTHING! In fact, I have called and emailed and apparently they don't want my business. I'm going to try out Vista Print this year. I'm a reasonable person and I would have taken this post down or made a flattering edit but this is beyond - beyond - beyond terrible customer service.

I am SO disappointed with my Shutterfly experience for the second year in a row. My cards came with bent corners again. The quality of my cards is ridiculous. The front pictures carried over to the back of the card! The fold is incorrect. I've been on the phone for over an hour and their phone system keeps bumping me off. After 4 attempts I finally spoke with a professional customer service agent who properly noted my account and waited with me until I went back into the phone queue to be called back by a manager. I still haven't been called back. I've been loyal to Shutterfly and Tiny Prints spending $300-$500/year on Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's Day cards but today we part ways.

I used Shutterfly in the past to do baby books, wedding book, cards, etc. I made an order almost 3 weeks ago and It got lost in the mail. I called and they reordered it and instead of overnighting it, I will receive it in 7-10 days!? So it would've been a month waiting on these thank you cards. Customer service is TERRIBLE now. Please don't use shutterfly. They aren't the company they used to be.

Worst customer service

Shutterfly botched up my last two orders and processed an order I didn't authorize. When I contacted customer service to sort things out, they refused to make the necessary corrections or refund the money on an order I never placed and was sent to the wrong address. I will not recommend this company nor will I use their services in the future.

Worst customer care

I called last week to shutterfly because I was not happy with the photo book that came in the mail. When I called to let them know and the customer service representative said would credit my credit card. I called them today to ask why my credit card was not credited. They made me wait 45 minutes before a manager answered the line. I cannot believe that they would. Make a customer wait that long on hold. Never in my life has that happened. When the manager came back on the phone she said sorry we don't give refunds.
