Cheap quality materials, rubber on heels comes apart, heel insoles wear through quickly, and inside back of shoe wears through with holes and irritates back of foot. Washable shoes shrink in washer.
So I needed new work boots and found the Sketchers steel toed boots at a good price. Bought 2 pair. They are not insulated so I only tried them on when I first got them. The support is horrible, which isn't much of a problem and I just inserted Dr. Scholls supports. I wore the one pair just around the house to get a feel for them and some how the toe got nicked and tore back the leather. I couldn't believe it. I patched it as the return period had past since I got them in the late winter. So spring has sprung and I started wearing them. I was on a job and they got wet, not like standing in water wet, just wet. When I got home and took them the SMELLED so BAD and musty. The smell has permeated the boot and will not go away. It's so bad, I can smell them when I'm standing and I'm 6'4". If I can't rid these boots of the smell, they will go in the trash. It's embarrassing to be standing with a client and have that musty smell wafting up. Steer clear of these boots, they don't breath, poor support, and not good quality at all. Pay the extra for a real work boot.
I have bought sketchers for years and there shoes have served me well. I bought not one but two pairs of slip-ons and these ones are terrible. The colour is nice, the price acceptable but you cannot slip on.
Today we went to the Outlet store in Metro Center in Phoenix. We had the best sales clerk by the name Jared. Jared made our experience wonderful. Thank you so much Jared for all your help. You are a true asset to Sketchers.
I bought a pair of work boots, three weeks ago and they are already starting to rip
Terrible return policy
Purchased Cleo's by Sketchers on Thursday & wore to work today. Heel rubbed on left shoe only so terrible I wanted to cry by the end of the day. I have a receipt from Kohl's but no way to upload it - paid 44.99
I Bought a pair from supposedly the Skechers Company and I was sent cheap fake sneakers. NO MEMORY FOAM but rather sponge. They think we're stupid and won't notice it and it would be like walking barefoot to make a shoe with thin cheap sponge from China or wherever they make them. They reputation of good shoes and quality is based on a lie. Shame
Bought a pair of sketchers gowalk two days ago and they felt comfortable in the shop. Having walked a few kilometres I find one shoe rubs terribly on one side under the ankle bone leaving a raw wound. On closer inspection I find the outside edges of the shoes are asymmetrical with the left about 5 millimeters higher than the right. This is the cause of the problem. Can't go back to the shop as I have now moved on. Very poor quality control! These shoes are of no use to me after 2 days wear.
Purchased work shoes was I sorry! Hurt my feet terribly! In store credit! Really on shoes that hurt BS! Like I am going to try another pair with a better out come? I seriously doubt it! Will never recommend them to anyone
When you buy shoes, you would think they would last longer than 2 months. I have purchased Sketcher shoes for many years with no issue. This particular time, this little girl wore these shoes only to school and the soles started coming right off them. It was like the glue that should hold them was not put on correctly. Sent them for a return and was told there was no "visual" defect and this wad due to "normal wear and tear". Not hardly! They lost not only my business but also my husband's whom also purchases alot of Sketcher shoes. Well done Sketchers... well done.
I bought a pair of slip ones in October which were manufactured in May of the same year, 2022. The pull that is used to pull the sneaker on has separated at the stitch. Even though there are three lines of stitch, the poorly managed manufacturing process allowed the pull to separate. Not only is it attached poorly, but the loop for the pull is too narrow to fit an adult's finger. How stupid. These slip on sneakers are targeted for adults and the handicapped. Why would they make the loop so narrow and why would they only run one line of stitch where something like this is used every time you put the shoe on. This feature should have been made with a robust stitch(s)to accommodate the stress imposed by putting the sneaker on. Skechers will not be responsible for their product and will never but this brand again. If you do buy these be very careful with the pull as it will seperate or don't use it at all.
Bought my son some 'Washable Skechers' one month ago. Washed as per manufacturer's instructions. Inner soles came apart - material came apart from 'memory foam'. Cost $100. Company can do nothing as each shop deals with its own returns. Skecher Headquarters take no responsibility for their product.
I have loved these shoes for the last few years. After about 18 months of daily use, I retire my old pair to the garden and buy a new pair exactly the same.
After only a few months, my latest pair began to deteriorate. After six months, they look much older than my old pair.
It seems obvious, to me, that Skechers quality has declined. I will have to find a new brand.
I bought this brand, Sketchers because they were very good at marketing their product. Yes, Buyer Beware is a good motto for a reason. I should have read reviews before buying Sketchers. I have had three different tries with Sketchers; and, everything about the shoe is bad for me at this point in my life. They are not good for an older person with Arthritis, for sure. After a few months about 8 weeks the memory foam starts becoming rigid the shoe does not go on and off properly. The shoe over heats because it does not breathe, causing great discomfort. For someone young, teens, twenties, okay, maybe 30's to wear on occasion might be okay. Otherwise, for a senior, I consider it, the worst shoe I ever purchased in my entire lifetime. The Sketcher shoe I purchased is on the higher end of price for Sketchers. I don't want a refund. I just want to warn people (seniors in particular), maybe it works for some people; but, for me it was sheer agony having Sketches on my feet. You couldn't pay me enough money to ever wear this torture chamber of a shoe, ever again. I would give the score of -10 stars if I could. Save yourself a lot of pain and suffering, stay away from Sketches if you have inflamation, arthritis, any toe issues. My feet are much worse after spending time inside the Sketcher Shoes starting in 2022! The last pair that made it into 2023 (this week) are going in the trash. Please do yourself a favor, DO NOT BUY THEM, your feet deserve better. There is lots of information about why Sketchers are bad on social media, I wish I had read the reviews and information from medical people focused on healthy feet. Thanks for your time reading this. May you be blessed with happy, pain free feet; and, good, comfortable shoes!
Been wearing Skechers for quite a while and recently tried the slip inside after trying them on at the store.
They came in extra wide(needed) and my heel didn't slip out plus very comfortable to walk in.
After less than a month strips that were apparently glued on the soles started peeling off.
I exchanged them at the store and tried them again. Same result. So I posted an email on their site to complain and after 2 months no response has been sent.
Conclusion? Skechers could care less about their customers!
I'll probably go back to New Balance since they have good footwear and wide widths too!
Phone service never operates. Chat line impossible. Over four hours I got to numbers 6,5,3 in the queue and then a message to click to reconnect. Back to high number. 2022 not good enough
I approached 3 ladies talking behind the register to ask the best shoes for being on feet and walking all day at hospital. One lady looked at the other 2, said something then showed me to shoes that were at extreme comfort. I asked if I got a discount for working at hospital and she said she would find out and be right back. I got a pair I liked then went to the d lights section and got a 2nd pair. Browsed more for a pair for granddaughter. No luck. 30 min later went to pay and all 3 ladies behind counter talking again. Store is full of customers and they are all huddled behind counter. The one lady that said she would return earlier grabbed my shoes to check out and said" oh theres no discount for those, you need to get work shoes" I told her it's fine, I have coupons in email for 20% off. She saw my emails and said, " oh those coupons are for online only. I have been buying skechers for years, my store near my house is no longer open. I will not ever go to that store again. No customer service, and not helpful one bit. That store is completely self serve only. These ladies should get a job answering phones if they like to just talk.
I placed a substantial on-line order and was charged DOUBLE the sales tax that I was supposed to be charged. No fewer than 5 emails with 5 different customer service reps trying to explain to them that I do not live in city limits so I do not pay city tax. No one seems to comprehend that and even when I submitted documentation, their reply was "it's automatic, there's nothing we can do about it". Hmmm, Amazon, Chewy, Kohls, Target, everyone else gets it right, I'm not sure why they can't. Never again!
I am now on my 7th pair of Skechers and go back there because these shoes are great for me. I have foot problems and the shoes I choose make walking and standing better. Last week I was the store in Sherway Gardens, Toronto and was served by a really fine employee by the Name of Mihaela, salesperson No: *******. She knows how to listen, she is knowledgeable about the stock. She greeted every customer by being polite and lively. I have never written a rev new before, but she deserves a shout-out.
Yes, I have had these Shape-Ups for a few years but only wore them about a half dozen times. I took them out from the closet and after a short walk around the block the soles are falling off with tar-like adhesive oozing out the sides. At least they are comfortable and the tread and uppers are like new. Yuck!
Answer: I'll let you know when I get my refund. Until then there is no story.
Answer: Horrible customer service. Buy elsewhere. They don't support their product at all
Answer: I have found them to 'pass the buck' all along the line. We never received a refund of any sort or a constructive answer.
