TeamViewer's reputation is significantly marred by widespread dissatisfaction regarding its customer service and cancellation policies. Customers frequently express frustration over unexpected charges, strict cancellation requirements, and inadequate support, often experiencing long wait times and unresponsive communication. While some users appreciate the software's functionality, many believe it does not justify the high cost, citing better alternatives in the market. Overall, the feedback indicates a trend of customers feeling trapped by the company's practices, leading to a negative perception of its reliability and commitment to customer satisfaction.

This service is awful the cancellation policy is garbage they make it impossible to end your subscription.
Cannot create a password that is strong enough for teamviwer to accept. I even rolled my head on the keaboard... still too weak. So f**k teamviwer. I will NEVER used any program from this company again. $#*!ed idiots powertripping on password... I hate those morons.
This program is pure garbage and is not at all user-friendly nor could I ever get it to work, and I consider myself to have above-average computer skills. There is no technical support period. And canceling is almost impossible.
I would like to contrast all others in stating that I have had an EXCELLENT experience with Team Viewer. I have had on brief interaction with tech support, well because I know how to utilize the software. Simply put, the easiest platform to roll out to users that are not so tech savvy. I strongly advise if not a huge company it works great. Would not know how the platform operates on a corporate level, but would assume it would meet all stakeholders interests
On the way to the airport I subscribed to TeamViewer which I had previously used for free. The website was difficult to use and I ended up accidentally subscribing for a year. I was then in SE Asia for 3 months in remote locations doing nonprofit work and out of touch. Only when I returned home did I realize I had subscribed at a cost of almost $500. I am 80 years old and not very good with computer stuff. I called the company and the rep said it had been 3 months so no cancellation. He would not elevate my request to anyone else, saying he was the "supervisor." Very unsympathetic, argumentative, and unwilling to even consider my plight. I have been unable to get the software to work well after trying, along with my computer consultant, for several years. I now see many other bad reviews, but too late. I thought I had a good reason for my "delay," but he couldn't have cared less. This software may be great for some folks but for me it's been terrible, and instead of a company being kind and supportive to my needs they have been unsupportive, even nasty. I would recommend that anyone think twice about using them and considering competitors instead.
Our remote team of editors consistently had issues with Teamviewer. It's an inferior product that we stopped using. When we tried to cancel we were told we had to notify them 28 days ahead of the renewal date. This is a completely ridiculous and unethical policy. This company knows they're selling a garbage product that customers will want to cancel, so they've put in this shady policy to trap them and make it difficult to cancel so they can keep their money. STAY AWAY from Teamviewer.
The charged me over $200 for subscription. But can never get help. You can call *******253 number and it just hangs up after 30 minuets. Can't get anyone on the website. They keep automatically renewing and can't stop it. Nightmare
Teamviewer in previous years sent reminders 90 days in advance that the license was coming up for renewal, however this year Teamviewer conveniently failed to send me a renewal email and so the license automatically renewal, and the first I knew of it happening was when I received the invoice
Poor behaviour from a predatory organisation, no wonder the ratings are so low. There are many other alternatives for remote desktop support such as teams, which is free with your O365 subscription
I would not consider Teamviewer for any purpose or tool, submit you license cancellations and start using Microsoft Teams. It's a much better tool for remote support in the enterprise.
If I could give half a star that would have been too much still.
TeamViewer does not allow you to cancel an upcoming renewal unless you cancel your subscription more than 28 days before the prior subscription expires. This unnecessary restriction is predatory and cannot be justified from a customer's perspective (but it's great for TeamViewer's bank accounts!).
Renewals are billed on an annual basis. If I want to cancel an upcoming renewal prior to the new term I should be able to. NOTE: I'm not talking about cancelling my current year of service, I'm talking about cancelling my UPCOMING year of service.
Avoid this shady company at all costs.
They are scammers when it comes to trying to cancel. Tried to do it online but for some reason it didn't go through, tried to call but on hold for an hour, changed my credit card so now they want to send me to collections to try and get payment on the subscription I tried to cancel. Sucky company!
I used team viewer for a year based on a subscription that cost me £228.96. I used it for approximately 6-8 months and never used it again. I saw on my credit card statement that £228.96 was deducted from my account by team viewer on an investigation. I was told I subscribed to their service a year ago.
I told them a year was a long time ago, and I don't need this service anymore. I only realized this when I saw my credit card statement. Team Viewer told me they sent me an email reminder 28 days before my subscription ended, which I have yet to receive. They see I last used their service a while ago, and my request is sensible.
They are very adamant and refused to refund me for a service I will not use. Teamviewer as an organisation is uncooperative and inflexible. They have abysmal customer service policies and lack concern for customer satisfaction.
I would not recommend anyone use them there are better alternatives out there.
I am still working on getting my refund i cant believe i am actually going through all this
I use TeamViewer 2 or 3 times a year to help my mom who lives out of state. It was very helpful as she is 87 years old. Recently they blocked up because they said we were using it for commercial use, which is ludicrous. I'm fine with it not being free, but don't state that it is, if it isn't. That's called a scam.
I got mail related my teamviewer account, and they asks me to pay ( usind debt collector) for service which already inactive. Very ridiculous action from teamviewer, especially when they already disabled my account.
Please make sure to cancel renewal any product when you buy it because you will be automatically renewed for double the price with no option to negotiate or change your licenses. Absolute Garbage company and waste of time to even call them. There many Better companies that they do not live from scamming customers.
TeamViewer automatically renewed our subscription for the following year AND doubled what we had been paying. I cancelled our subscription (& removed the software) but they still insist that I need to pay them for the full year amount!
I am now getting letters from a collection agency.
I WILL NOT PAY TEAMVIEWER
Splashtop is a very good alternative to TV and costs $100/year - vs TV exorbitant cost
Terrible company. Don't do business with it. Their Automatic Renewal gambit is outrageous. They ripped us off for $1,200.
After installing Teamviewer, on a Windows 10 computer, and started, it would only run for maybe around 5 seconds and close! I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it always does the same thing!
I was given the link to Teamviewer by TP-Link to help troubleshoot my Wi-Fi device so I tried to get technical support from Teamviewer but they refused. I was told basically that they only provide support for paid customers. Since TP- Link did not make Teamviewer, why should I expect TP-Link to support another company's software?
Only needed it for a project of 1 month. Now it got renewed automatically for an entire year. And the product wasn't even good. I just had to go with it due to my customer. So even I didn't use it for over 10 months they refuse to refund me.
Product itself was OK, but they refused to refund after accidental renewal of an yearly subscription. I ended up paying for 2 years now, when I only needed one.
They are essentially making business on people not reading their EULA. On yearly subscriptions:
"In order to terminate a subscription, a written request must be submitted at least 28 days prior to the date of renewal"
I respectfully asked for a refund, but they are unapologetic about it.
Answer: They say I don't qualify to talk to a real person when I call the number and they don't respond to my tickets...
Answer: Definitely Chrome Remote Desktop. Been using for about 4 years now and haven't had any issues. Improvements over the few years since I first started using it have made it even better.
