TeamViewer's reputation is significantly marred by widespread dissatisfaction regarding its customer service and cancellation policies. Customers frequently express frustration over unexpected charges, strict cancellation requirements, and inadequate support, often experiencing long wait times and unresponsive communication. While some users appreciate the software's functionality, many believe it does not justify the high cost, citing better alternatives in the market. Overall, the feedback indicates a trend of customers feeling trapped by the company's practices, leading to a negative perception of its reliability and commitment to customer satisfaction.

BS Garbage support, non existent, paid $700 a year for 2 years, now they forget I'm a member, I use this service when I need it, if you deny me access, your service is worthless, WTF scam someone else $#*!s
Our TeamViewer contract was with a former employee who no longer worked for the company. We did not get the reminders about cancelling our renewing our contract until it was past the 28 day period. We only found out about it once the bill went to collections. I tried to talk to costumer service about our situation and that the employee who signed up for the program was no longer with us so we did not receive notification about renewal (this took place 2 week past the renewal date). My phone call was met with poor customer service and we were forced to pay for an entire year of a service we do not use. I offered to pay for the 2 weeks we "had the program", but no, they are making us pay for the entire year. Any company that makes you jump through hoops to cancel a subscription is shady. I do not recommend.
Customers are unable to cancel their subscriptions in the Customer Portal. Licenses renew automatically for a year. Cancellations require one month's written notice. Prices are much higher than competitors in the market.
After 3 years of constant technical and accounting problems for our small non-profit group, I cancelled my TeamViewer account. Ken Burger *******882, Murfreesboro, Tennessee
I went to the Teamviewer website to go and pay for my annual subscription. I saw that there was a new significantly lower pricing (old: $625) (new: $495.98). So, I thought oh, same account, same machine, they can transfer the license. I bought the license under the same account number, and email, and activated the license on the same machine).
Yesterday, I receive an email telling me that my card did not work for them to charge me an additional almost $700. I call and am told by a salesperson who proceeds to try to get me to think that I am getting a deal. He says that they set the price for their shareholders, etc, etc, etc... and that somehow I should think it fair that a current customer shouldn't automatically receive the lower price? That they'll forward to me the discount next year? Yeah, I think not.
Yeah, don't ever buy anything from this company. I have found another company that I will happily use in a year.
Given money to the Glazers at Manchester United. We don't want Team Viewer to sponsor United. Product is awful and I would rather use anything else.
I used teamviewer remote about a year, however I no longer use it as much, so I request cancel it and called to Team Viewer Company on 25th July. However, the customer service guy said to me that they will still charge me and said that there is 28 days prior end of term policy to cancel. I don't know that. What is my solution for that? I really don't want to pay for another year which I no longer need the service.
By the way, the customer support is really bad regarding cancelation. I tried to explain my company bought the license for 9pp, we just want to cancel 1 person, but they were so difficult and rules. They said that they sent me the reminder, but I didn't receive any emails. I checked carefully, but I didn't receive. I asked them why I didn't receive the email. They didn't respond. It make cancelation really difficult.
This product absolutely sucks. It is not at all secure and support is not existant. $#*!ES. My machine hot hacked from using this piece of Horse $#*!! $#*! YOU TEAM VIEWER $#*!S
Yearly subscription, must be cancelled 28 days before renewal date. No courtesy warning email, that your subscription is about to be renewed. When contacting the help desk to discuss our business circumstances, they don't talk you, they just send you a copy paste email with standard referral to T&C... No thanks, do yourself a favour and use other more flexible programs, as TeamViewer doesn't give a $#*!...
I wanted to cancel and they won't let me cancel. I asked for a prorated refund for a program I am not using and they refuse. They stop responding to my emails. So the best I can get is that they said they will cancel me when the year subscription is up. I just hope they do not slip me through and try to take my money. I do not want an auto renewal. This is notice to Teamviewer.
Totally appalled with their level of customer service. I was automatically billed again because they claim that I have already agreed to it when I signed up. However, no notification was sent before they deducted the amount from the credit card.
When I emailed them about this matter, they repeatedly insisted that they will not refund. Finally they said they will close the case since it's been resolved. When I emailed back and told them it's not resolved yet because I demand for a full refund, they rudely replied case is CLOSED!
What kind of insolence reply is this?
TeamViewer is a good option while working like a team or from a distance. It provides basic function of screen sharing and data transfer from one place to the other place. You may share data from PC, Laptop or a smartphone, it equally works on these all devices. While transfering big files, it shows some difficulty and u may only work with internet connectivity.
Started using TeamViewer as a personal user to simply help family and friends remotely with computer problems. Always the same 4 computers and sometimes weeks apart. Well TeamViewer started to send me messages stating that I was suspected of using it for commercial purposes, which I ignored since I wasn't using it for commercial purposes. This message popped up every time I used the program, which, mind you, was still about 2-3 times a month. Then suddenly they revoked my access and I couldn't use it at all. I contacted their customer service through chat and told them the situation. I was told it was nearly impossible to restore access once it has been terminated. The rep asked me what I used it for and I explained and he said he would try to restore my access. He subsequently informed me he could restore my access for a $75 a month plan. I reiterated that I barely used it and he had the logs and my user history to verify that fact, but he still insisted I had to pay at least $75 per month to have my access restored. I told him where he could shove it, and have been using Chrome Remote Desktop without issue for over 4 years now.
Didn't want a business licence in the first place as I only intended to use the software to support my elderly father with his I. T. needs but the software kept saying that I was using it for commercial purposes. Quick call to their support line ended up convincing me to buy a business licence. When I tried to cancel on renewal, I was told it was too late because I hadn't given them 28 days notice. Told if I didn't pay, they would use debt collectors to collect money. Yet, they only sent me a reminder email 14 days prior to renewal. So, I'm left with a £460 bill to use a bit of software once or twice a month to help my father make his Westfield claims. Clearly I would advise NO ONE to use Teamviewer, let them go out of business and then maybe they'll reflect on how human beings SHOULD treat one another.
I had the same experience as many other reviews here.
Cancelled the service months before renewal due, then on the day renewal was due they send an invoice claiming the service must be cancelled 28days before, but only by a support ticket. Going by their response and discussions with Australian support this company needs to be reported as a scam.
Nearly Impossible to reach for service and cancellation. Sneaky cancellation policy and harassing "retention specialist" was not a good combo for a service business.
I've been using this service a while and really glad that I found them once. Their service helps me to work on my home computer while I'm gone and it's funny but I can help my mom with her computer thanks to them
The company is fraud and try to lute money from the customer. As business user there is no option to cancel your account, only option is sending email. If you forgot they will threaten to pay money. We have to think seriously to take legal action against their cooked policy and payment options
There are no ways to cancel the order and the software didn't even work.
Do not buy this software, there are better alternatives.
Answer: They say I don't qualify to talk to a real person when I call the number and they don't respond to my tickets...
Answer: Definitely Chrome Remote Desktop. Been using for about 4 years now and haven't had any issues. Improvements over the few years since I first started using it have made it even better.
