Ticketmaster Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor customer service and technical issues. Many customers report difficulties accessing their accounts, long hold times, and inadequate support for ticket-related problems. Concerns about cybersecurity and the inability to transfer or resell tickets exacerbate frustrations. Conversely, some positive feedback highlights an easy-to-navigate website and helpful customer service representatives who resolve issues when contacted. Overall, while the company offers a wide selection of tickets, its customer service and technical reliability require substantial improvement to enhance user experience and trust.

Ticketmaster is the worse experience I've ever had. Rip me off $$$ cuz their app crashed and told me to retry and charged me double. And no one speaks English when you call. They refused to refund me! Save your money and go somewhere else. But from America only companies.

First I started on another site to buy tickets for an event, should have stopped as soon as I saw it goes to the phone. But it can't be hard right? HA! WRONG.

So first problem I do NOT do email through my phone. Did get fan help how to do it through the website. WHICH of course wants me to install an app. CANNOT install their app onto an iphone6. So that is out.
But did finally find the tickets on my phone by going to ticketmaster.com WANTED TO TRANSFER them to my husbands newer phone. Transfer does not work. Spinning wheel forever. Support is not to be had. Autobot chat, about worthless. I finally found a transfer using my desktop and got them to his phone. Now HE is having fits because his phone wants to send him a code, and as soon as he goes to get the code the page to PUT the code in vanishes. MY GOD DOES ANYONE EVER TEST WEBSITES ON REAL PEOPLE? This has been the most frustrating evening just trying to buy tickets to an event that doesn't even happen for months. Deeply regretting this now. And will NEVER TOUCH TICKETMASTER AGAIN! The venue can sell directly or forget my business. NOT WORTH THIS FRUSTRATION.

What a rip off!
October 8, 2023

I received your response to my request for a refund since I purchased and paid in full for tickets through Ticketmaster and the time of the game was changed with no notice to me by Ticketmaster or their contractor for tickets, MLB. I have purchased many many tickets over the years from Ticketmaster, and based on your response to not refund the ticket price, I will never… repeat NEVER… order tickets through your company again.

Additionally, I will take it upon myself to blog EVERYWHERE I can on social media, tell friends and anyone who will listen and is considering using your company, to not do so based on my experience.

How proud you must be to lose another customer, in addition to everybody I know that will not use your company because of your poor decision. And yet you tell me, I'm not getting a refund and you never explained the reason which just adds insult to injury. Just another big business screwing its customers. I wish only the same for you. I hope karma bites you where it counts…

HEARTLESS RE A PTSD PERSON OF WRONG VENUE BOOKED
October 7, 2023

We were booking Adam Sandler for her birthday as a huge surprise because she NEVER asks to go to concerts or show due to her PTSD but lately she expressed she would like to see Adam Sandler since it was going to be in the city we live in (Fresno CA) and if she started to have issues, she would be able to exit quietly and be home within 15 minutes. I never bought tickets before and somehow i made a huge mistake and the instant i seen it was San Jose, i contacted them, they were so cruel and helpful for mayne one minute them said to bad.

Unacceptable
October 4, 2023

They are unfair and crooks. Charging $200/ticket when Messi was supposed to play in Chicago then dropping the tickets to $30/ticket and not offering any kind of reimbursement when we all know why the tickets were so outrageous in the first place. I'm happy to pay to see Messi but if you know you over-charged people be fair to the people that would come back because you corrected the issue. Ticket master you'll never see another dollar of mine.

Ticket Master is nothing but a money hungry bunch of garbage humans taking advantage of a monopoly they shouldn't have and don't deserve. They take advantage of artists as well as fans and they need to be put down like a rabid dog. There is a special place in he'll for everyone behind ticket master and I hope to God that I get to see you burning there when I'm gone.

Rating would be "0" if possible. The ticket price for Lion King at the GSR box office in the mid balcony is $134 for the day we wanted to go. There is a $4 service fee making the total ticket price $138. Unfortunately, we called TicketMaster to save some time and booked two seats in the mid balcony for $158 each ($316 total). The fees weren't seen until after we "paid" for the tickets. These exorbitant fees totaled $54.79 per ticket (109.58 total). In summary, the actual ticket price was 18% more than at the box office and the fees were 370% more than if we had driven to the box office at GSR and bought them. Yes, there were sufficient tickets available for the night we wanted to go, so we would have saved $185.58 by buying them at GSR. Since all sales are final, we have no recourse. When trying to call TicketMaster twice I ended up with dead air. Nothing. NEVER BUY FROM TICKETMASTER!

I purchased tickets to the Aerosmith, peace out tour in Dallas and delayed my move to Puerto Vallarta by three weeks so I could see the concert. The concert was canceled, we have no idea if it will be rescheduled, more importantly I will be living in Mexico. For Ticketmaster, which is part of Live Nation to say they're not refunding my money because there's a chance they might reschedule next year is just wrong. Even if they did reschedule six months later, I will no longer be in the country so they're basically stealing the department of Justice needs to go after these folks.

Complete rip-off and lies
September 29, 2023

When we clicked on the seats it said we would pay $25 per ticket. Then at checkout it said each ticket was $45. We still wanted to go to the show so we continued. As we continued on the checkout page we ended up getting another $24 service charge per ticket. Now we are up to $69 per ticket. We ended up purchasing because we had already committed to friends that we were going. A day later, I got charged another $9 per ticket for insurance. A show that should have cost us near $50 ended up costing us $156. Absolute crap.

I wanted to purchase tickets to Disney on Ice for my entire family, 11 people, and Ticketmaster restricts purchases to maximum of 8. Now, my family is separated by 15 Rows and unable to sit together for the show. I did try to purchase the original 8, then go right back in and purchase the additional 3 I needed, but the system states, you cannot purchase anymore, you have purchased the maximum. So I had to call another family member and get them to create a Ticketmaster account and go in to purchase the remaining 3. WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I am sure the event will be great, BUT TICKETMASTER IS THE WORST! If you can, buy from some other service, they also charge ridiculous fees, surcharges, etc. Also, if you try to sell tickets that you cannot use, the system won't allow you to. It has a "sell" function, but it won't work for you, so your screwed! I tried calling Ticketmaster during all this, you only get busy signal, tried for 2 days, numerous times, never anything but a busy signal. DON'T USE TICKETMASTER, I WARN YOU, YOU'LL REGRET EVERY MOMENT OF IT!

Everything Presale!
September 22, 2023

I remember when you could go on Ticketmaster and just outright buy tickets. Now they put up presale hoops where you pretty much won't be able to get tickets to popular events without having "signed up" so you won't be "waitlisted". Even then, good luck getting tickets when you are added to their obnoxious que and you are number 2000+! Every single time sold out! Oh, and if the artist is going to multiple cities, you can only sign up for ONE city/venue/date! When is Ticketmaster going to make tickets NON TRANSFERABLE so that these second hand scumbags selling tickets stop taking advantage of the general public!? Ticketmaster is a scam and a master of nothing! So irritating! I've attempted to purchase tickets for three concerts within the past four months and was only able to secure after market tickets on Gametime App and having to pay more than face value!

Nightmarish Customer Service
September 22, 2023

Purchased tickets just a couple hours ago for wrong date and was just told (after holding for 30 minutes listening to obscenely loud piano music playing the same song over & over) that I'm ineligible for a refund, selling the ticket or a transfer. ARE YOU F&$@£ KIDDING ME? Literally the 9th ring of hell. Do yourself a huge favor and don't buy anything from these twat waffles!

Continuing to rip off fans!
September 21, 2023

Ticketmaster.com happy to sell tickets to people outside US, but when it come to resale, they suddenly require a US or Canadian bank account. Absolutely no valid reason for this discrimination. Just another rip-off. Their "Fan Support" is a complete joke (they don't appear capable of reading or understanding a question). They then claim to escalate - and nothing happens. Please avoid them - and artists, please use other ticketing agencies!

They have ligitmized scalping with this resale BS. I ticket that was purchased yesterday for $129, from which they made a fee, they are now allowing to be resold for $408, plus fees, the next day. So they make money on the same ticket twice. Scalping is illegal, but they are making it easy. It will stop ONLY when the artists pull the ticketing out from under Ticketmaster. (like Taylor Swift did! Bravo for her sticking up for her fans and sticking it to the crap company that profits off of screwing their customers!

Horrible Experience
September 14, 2023

Never received my Football tickets. Didn't even know having to deal with a 3rd party to get tickets was even a thing. Over 2 weeks of customer service telling me that my situation has been escalated and to keep my lines open and someone will contact me with more information and of course never hearing from them. It was like an automated response system. Didn't matter what I said I got the same two responses. Even after the event time past they told me my situation was escalated. Like how? It's over now and my son doesn't get to experience Jump Around at Camp Randall. Now I have to try and get my money back from the Credit Card company because I get nowhere with so called Customer Service. This whole experience was a joke and will never be buying tickets from them again. If anyone reads this and decided to buy tickets anyways good luck. Hope you have better luck than I did. As of right now I'm out almost $200 and a lot time

Makes zero since for the service fees to be as much as they are. I paid $30 per ticket for 4 tickets. My total was $186 after the "service fees". So basically buy two extras tickets! Completely uncalled for and then they want you to purchase the ticket "insurance". I will never buy tickets through ticket master!
