The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and support mechanisms. Many users report a lack of effective communication and responsiveness, with automated replies dominating interactions. Concerns about fraudulent activities and inadequate buyer protection are prevalent, leading to financial losses for both buyers and sellers. While some customers appreciate the platform's user interface and initial successful transactions, these positives are overshadowed by the overwhelming sentiment of frustration and distrust, indicating a pressing need for improvements in customer service and policy enforcement.

This Vinted concept is a wonderful idea but sadly it is executed very poorly. Apparently the admins of this site are not educated in customer service and do not enforce any real accountability on the sellers. Buyers are often left "holding the bag" and out money and product. Very few of the sellers respond to requests about details on items being sold, pictures posted are often very poor quality and there is no push for items to ship in a timely manner. I get the feeling the site is hosted and populated by lazy teenage girls who could care less about providing quality service. I tried the site and purchased a few items, one bad transaction after another I have deleted my account and will shop elsewhere.
Company stole my money after both buyers gave 5 star review. Vinted refused to deposit money in account. Made up elaborate story classic bait andswitch situation. Dont sell here. Run from here.
You have to be very careful when buying anything from vinted, heres a few reasons why in my experience.
* If an item isnt as described, the seller has to pay return shipping costs (vinted take no responsibility)
*If your scammed through a swap or pay outside of vinted like some buyers like to to avoid fees and you get scammed again they just say they cant help, not taking responsibility. (not EVER the buyers fault if they get scammed as they are not the thiefs)
What is slightly more concerning is that i bought a bundle of items from a seller costing me a little more than £40, and opted for second class postage (to cut back on expenses), the parcel was then lost in the post and informed vinted and the conclusion was SHOCKING! They gave the seller my £40 and said it was my fault for not choosing 'sign for' and said they could only give me £15! The goods were not legally mine until i had signed for them! No response at all from their legal team or from customer support! I couldnt even make a claim through royal mail as it wasnt MY parcel but the seller sure did! Absoloute joke!
Make sure you check sellers reviews and ask for more photos if you feel they are needed and go for 'sign for' postage.
There are also alot of items that are priced higher than what the retail prices are! Always make sure you check the items value before you purchase!
Apart from that lot... its ok but considering its the only site that charges the buyers a fee... none of the above should be an issue!
I have found some fantastic bargains on there though so its not all bad!
I haven't made a purchase since Vinted started charging a fee for buyers to purchase. Finally decided to delete the app.
I was conned by a seller on vinted. The seller just didn't send me the coat I paid for. She marked the item as sold outside of vinted even though all communication was carried out on vinted. The seller told me her PayPal was scammed via vinted and I stupidly transferred the money. Vinted have not called me or responded to my replies to their messages in a timely manner. They really aren't bothered. It was very difficult to even contact them on their site. I would highly recommend not using vinted. I am £250 out of pocket and there seems to be no support for the buyer. The last message I received from vinted was that if the seller doesn't respond in 24hrs they will block her account. Not a very scary prospect for the seller who conned me
This is an excellent buy/sell website. If you have things you have never used or no longer use, sell them on Vinted! Their customer service is very good and the site is user friendly. They take good care of both their buyers and sellers. I have been very happy on Vinted and highly recommend!
I really like Vinted now that they don't take any commission but since they aren't making as much money it seems like their customer service has gone down a bit. Overall though, they are a great place to shop, incredible deals, better than anywhere else I've seen. I love the news feed, it's custom to your size, brands you like and you can follow people too. They also have a forum where you can talk about stuff and sometimes they raid your closet so you can get a ton of views! I don't like how you have to pay to bump stuff now and they don't make it as easy to lower the prices on things like they use to, have to go in and edit items opposed to just being able to drop the price in one click but overall it's still a really great site and have sold to a lot of nice people. Would definitely recommend!
Whatever you do don't sell on Vinted! You get screwed if the buyer doesn't approve even though your item was legit they won't pay you. I lost $150 bag and money because buyer complained and wouldn't ship it back. So they didn't pay and I didn't get my item. Try Poshmark or Tradesy. Or even eBay. Way better and more protection than this website. WHAT A SCAM!
I had a seller grossly misrepresent the item they were the wrong size (Medium not XS) in the wrong demographic (Girls not Womens) and were clearly used when seller advertised as brand new. I sent pictures to Vinted as requested so they could clearly see the item had been misrepresented. Instead of helping me obtain a refund, they required that I contact the seller and ask permission for refund despite having made me collect the evidence! Then they made me contact the seller again after I already was forced to send them a screenshot of the seller authorizing return, to ask her if she required the return of the items before Vinted would authorize a refund to me! They are profiting off of us buyers yet they offer no accountability whatsoever.
Then today I received a response from Vinted regarding an order that I never received. They tracked it and confirmed it was sent but never delivered and said because the post office must have lost the package if I wanted any recovery I would have to contact the seller myself and ask her to eat half of the cost with me. Despite the profits they're making off buyers and sellers they take no accountability for these mishaps. Really pathetic.
If I could put 0 as a score I would! Do not by all means sell anything on vinted! If anything was to go wrong you'd be left to figure out what to do by yourself with no help whatsoever in sight! Disgusting communication with the "supporters" so so disappointed and angry!
I have been using vinted for several years, and have very little issues with the site. I have purchased many cute items from other vinties. There has been one occasion when I got scammed simply because I agreed to pay for an item using paypal (my fault) and never received the item. Other than that, you can find alot of name-brand items at a fraction of the cost! As long as you communicate with the seller BEFORE purchasing the item, you should have no problems!
Vinted stole money from me. Do not use this website.
I sell on ebay and another app then I found Vinted. But I learned right away not to sell expensive items there. There is NO WAY TO CONTACT A CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON. I had someone named guy101 pick out a three item bundle then after I got up and weighed them to make sure I picked the right shipping This guy101 asked if I could model them! This person had no profile and was a very new member. So I tried to report it that's when I realized that there was NO WAY TO DO THAT. That's what made me realize if I have a problem selling or whatever there's really nothing I can do. I don't talk with people on the app or anything I barely mess with it. I just don't think it's a safe site. I definetly wouldn't recommend swapping from what I hear No one is over seeing this app.
It suddenly claims that my account doesn't exist and I can't reset the password because it says my email address doesn't have an account. I also had earned money from selling but its lost now because I can't get into my account.
I have been a Vinter for two years now and yes I have dealt with their strictness on a lot of issues but never knew just how terrible they are until I read all these reviews today. So sad! I've always loved the site but do admit I love the the other one better.
They have blocked my account for the coming year. I can't go in until 2017. What the heck is this about? Just tell me what you want taken out and I will. I copy and paste a lot of my items and I forget what I've put and what's not allowed. It is never intentional and I have been made to feel like some kind of criminal or fraudulent person. It's just so sad and very disappointing. Don't know what to think or do.

Iv had a vinted account for a few months now, everything was going well until I tried to send a buyer a message only to notice my account was blocked. I have messaged the vinted support team on a few occasions only to get NO reply or an automated reply. The customer service is the WORST iv evar dealt with.
I'm now out of pocket for items of clothing & jewellery that have been sent and received by buyers. The money I had made from sales is now being held by Vinted who are refusing me access.
I had since found the Vinted Limited head office details so will be taking this matter a lot further.

If you are on the fence whether or not to create an account please read my review. First, I was a seller on vinted for the past 7 months. Within those 7 months, many fraudulents shopped my listings and were able to steal my merchandise (I shipped their order after vinted provided the shipping label and was notified 2-3 days after NOT to ship their order) I was a fast shipper so yeah I got scammed. Second, sales were very slow (way slower than ebay/poshmark). Third, Vinted deleted my items without a valid reason. Forth, Vinted requires your bank account number and routing number (which is not safe to provide). Fifth, Vinted blocked my account forever and gave me no valid reason. Now vinted has my bank account number my routing number and I have no access to my account. So please please please do not do business with Vinted. It really isn't worth giving your private information they are not a professional business and there is so much fraudulent activity on this site with the buyers. I'm a top seller on ebay and poshmark, and Vinted still managed to block me. Vinted is a bad business with no respect for their clients.
I agreed to swap my Lebrons for Jordans.
I didn't receive my sneakers, member blocked me, so I contacted Vinted.
TWO weeks later Vinted replied with, "we have restricted this user due to swap-lifting, so since it is out of our reach you will have to handle disputes with your local police dept." -_-
AND THAT IS HOW MY $90 LEBRONS WERE STOLEN BY
Brittany_45 who lives in 221 Eather dr lot 1 goose creek South Carolina *******.
BEWARE! THIS SITE IS NOT WORTH IT
I PURCHASE ITEM FROM SELLER THE SELLER LIED ABOUT WHEN I ASKED HER WAT COLOR WAS IT REALLY I GET ITEM COLOR IS OFF THEY TELL ME TO RETURN N I WOULD GET FULL REFUND I PAY FOR SHIPPING TO SEND BACK I TELL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SHOW THEM PROOF OF WAT I PAID TO SEND ITEM BACK NOW THERE TELLING ME I CAN ONLY GET REFUND FOR THE ITEM I PAID FOR AND NOT THE SHIPPING THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT THAT WHAT KIND OF HORSE$#*! IS THAT.
PLEASE BEWARE OF WAT YOU BUY CAUSE YOU DON'T GET REFUND FOR RETURN ITEM.
Vinted has a "forum" which is controlled by some of the snottiest, hateful lowlifes in existence, mad and angry because they are so "poor". They hate anyone who has business sense or more than they do. They stick together in cliques and it is not a welcoming venue. The nice people stay quiet as not to lose sales, allowing the cliques to control. If you don't agree with these cliques, they cry to a moderator and get you banned for one reason or another. Forums and controlling crybabies are not conducive to business, they do not mix. Bad idea.
Answer: Well you can't. You need to do your homework when asking questions to a seller. Request additional pictures too. The seller never has access to your money until you "receive" and accept the items. So if you get a designer item you have questions about take it to your nearest high-end consignment. If you find the item is not real simply let CS know under the accepting. Tell them what the problem is. More likely than not you will get a return request label. Just send it back and all your money if refunded. On Poshmark all items over $500 are automatically sent to a Posh center to be authenticated before its sent to you. The best way to know your getting the real deal is buy from again a local high-end consignment or an online that specializes in only a few brands rather than any. It takes a lot of training to become an expert on authentication.
