The interview with Reima at the end of April was excellent.She made an appointment with my husband, s doctor. My account number is *******. I found a video for him to watch. We have some questions. Today I called 4 different numbers. Waited 5 to 10 minutes on the first three listening to music. Got on internet found a number for service! Was told I could leave a message. Then I was told that I was number 39 in line. Also could not find my account. Customer service is very difficult.
I have communicated with Hoveround on many occasions. Most of the time, the person on the other end was very cordial and helpful. On one call, I did get someone who I felt couldn't wait to get off the phone. My most recent encounter was excellent. The Customer Service Representative was helpful, very pleasant, and anxious to help me. I'm sorry, but I don't remember the exact date, except that it was in March.

After fighting with you guys and the doctor's for over two weeks, FINALLY the doctor sent in what you asked for, then and only then was I informed that you DON'T CARRY SCOOTER'S. MY DOCTOR WENT WAY OUT OF HIS WAY AND WITH TIME, then you say you DON'T CARRY SCOOTER'S, you tell me HOW I'M SUPPOSED TO FEEL, I'm just speaking the truth

I am the caretaker for Gary, and all I can say is your staff are really qualified and have the patience of a Saint to deal with a person with dementia bi-poler, Alzheimer's. Your staff handled everything with the ut most professional way it should be handled, and all I can say is I'm sorry for the way he acts sometimes...

The young man I first spoke to was very polite got me through the initial application in good time and got me through to a Mobility Specialist very quickly. She was very nice we got things done quickly, my appt made with my PCP for my paperwork. It was all great!

I called Hoveround and they took care of me. I need to be able to get out of my apartment and I can't walk very good anymore or very far. They even called the doctor for me to make an appointment to get the script for the chair. The chair will help me to get around my apartment and be able to get out more.

I need an electric lift wheelchair. I couldn't get it coirdinated. Called my Inc company and they g ad vs me the number for hoverround. A rep called me to start and application and NIW I ave an appt for Tuesday to down evaluation. They took over and suddenly all my problems went away!

From start to finish, everyone I dealt with was extremely friendly and super caring. The chair was made for my specifications for my back, which is a major plus. John brought it, and was here just when he said. He goes over every detail and shows you how to use it and makes sure you are comfortable before leaving. For once, I had a painless experience. I have been in a hoveround wheelchair for 11 yrs. This was the hardest order to get processed the the first one they brought was not right one and now I am still waiting for it because I needed a reclining back so I am still waiting. I just hope this mess will soon be over.

This chair is a nightmare! Hoveround should be ashamed of themselves fr sticking Medicare with a dangerous product.
I have hurt myself too many times, the design and cheap plastic parts make this a VERY uncomfortable to use. The tiny tip over wheels in the front ae in the way f trying to stand, when the to small foot plate is raised. My ankles have been cut too many times to write, the chair pulls and turning radius is always being caught and if something is on the floor, you can bet the damn chair will catch it and easily tangle in the drive wheels.
In less than one year I have had to replace the plastic power tires and the front tires. I am so fed up. A TOTAL waste of my insurance, I am now stuck with a piece of CRAP for at least 6 years. That's if Medicare will be around and if I can stand the wait for all the paperwork to go through. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, LIKE I SHOULD HAVE DONE!

From day one, this chair has given me problems. The turning radius is too large and mine has a way of doing what it wants to. I want to go forward, the chair hesitates and there is a thump, thump, thump in the wheels. If feels like a bent axle. I have only had this chair 6 months and the batteries are going out! It squeaks unbearably, I now need new power wheel tires already, and I NEVER can get a person to talk to. I got sick of calling and bought new caster tires, because one broke, it just had a slice come off while I was using it. Oh, and the charger I got with,,,it stopped working, stopped charging the battery, so I bought a new one. Beng on a fixed income makes this a high maintenance, Medicare provided item!
The representative was very helpful with me applying for a new motorized Hoveround wheelchair, telling me what steps needed to be followed. She answered any questions that I had. I'm excited about getting a new chair.

I've been trying to get a new electric wheelchair for 2 months. They said I Must have Documented Weight but I've been in a wheelchair for yrs and cannot stand any longer to be weighed. I had Polio at age 2 and walked on crutches all my life (public school, college, etc.), then I couldn't walk anymore. I've used Hoveround twice for my wheelchairs and now because they did not weigh me in surgery in November, I cannot get a wheelchair! I cannot see my Doctors without one! I'm at a loss!

Other than a telephone call to set up an appointment, I haven't had any experience with any Hoveround personel yet.
We started the Hoveround process 11-12-24. We went to the doctor and it took forever to get info passed on to Hoveround. Fast forward to today when I spoke with the doctors office; our hospital OSF does not work with Hoveround.
Called back again to Hoveround to her a woman who had an attitude from the second she took our call. They can our will not help find a provider in the are a that Hoveround work with. She asked if we just want to cancel our order and to to an other company. WOW! Way to lose business Hoveround.
Asked if they had and suggestions and to who to work with and she said no and had no idea.
Attitude was still there. Told her we are cancelling and hung up. They have been less that helpful. Good luck with Hoveround.

I called and they said I wouldn't qualify because my insurance paid for a manual wheelchair just a few months prior. They were wrong. Then they said I needed a prior authorization from my doctor. My doctor sent them what they wanted and I received app from my insurance company.
They said Hoveround would have to also do an evaluation, but they could only come on Thursday.
I really feel like they didn't really want to sell me a power wheelchair!

Answer: Some seem to be getting the equipment supplier mixed up with Medicare. Medicare has theirs own agenda (deny! Deny! Deny!), like most insurance co. Who don't want to pay out. Power wheelchair and scooter companies just do what they can. If a doctor prescribes and Medicare accepts/denies, its not the companies' fault. The doctor is valued to do his duty the best he can and Medicare supposed to do right by the benefiticary. I don't know. Seems a lot of blame is possible, not just with one side of it.

Answer: Yes, if doctor can prove medically necessary. Doctor must make file notes to support and you must have an office visit that only addresses the need for your chair.
