Low-quality code with numerous bugs and performance issues.
The worst support I've ever experienced - no responses to critical issues.

DO NOT GET MONSTERONE. It works for a day or 2, then they lock you out of your account. Customer support was keeping me going in circles. Although since i technically did pay I figured i can rip the templates from the live preview but still, that's only a small part of what i was promised for my $150

I purchased a theme from TemplateMonster, and after the six-month support period expired, the theme started having compatibility issues with Elementor. The page builder stopped functioning properly because the theme was no longer up to date. I contacted the theme author, who promptly fixed the issue, but they informed me that TemplateMonster was taking a long time to approve the update that would resolve the bug and restore full functionality.

When I reached out to TemplateMonster support, they claimed that the update had been released on January 30th, 2025. However, I never received any email notification about this, nor did my account dashboard reflect any new status, update, or release information in any way. I had been waiting for weeks, unable to work on my website, all because TemplateMonster failed to communicate transparently.

I raised my concerns with their support team about the lack of transparency, only to have many of my questions ignored. Instead, they told me that my support had expired and that I would need to renew it for $77. However, it is not my responsibility to pay for an update that should be made available to all customers, regardless of support status.

TemplateMonster's handling of this situation feels dishonest and misleading. Their lack of communication and refusal to address a critical issue shows a complete disregard for their customers. This was my first purchase from them, and I deeply regret it. I will never buy from TemplateMonster again—this experience has been frustrating, disappointing, and a complete waste of time and money. Their customer support is terrible, and their platform lacks basic transparency regarding updates.

Beware of this company!

I used template monster in the past and had no problems however, recently I purchased tow templates with the installation/setup add on service and it was a nightmare. Not only did they NOT get the templates to install after 1 month of going back and forth and getting the run around (asking for the same login information over and over), they said that I would need to sign-up with HOST POPPA because they know it will work. So I gave them access to HOST POPPA and they still never successfully installed the templates. I asked for a refund 3 times during this mess via their chat and via email (because they never answered the phone) and they eventually ghosted me even after they said they would refund me. So I disputed my credit card charge with my CC company and Template Monster lied to my credit card and claimed that they installed my templates with no problems.

I would recommend staying away from Spencer and this company as they are not to be trusted!

TemplateMonster are a pack of fraudsters. I paid $199 for the template customization service, and after 3 months and many attempts asking them to complete my work (with clear instructions), all they have done is load a logo I supplied them (and even that took 3 attempts to get correct in wordpress). Stay clear of these people, especially templates from DREAMIT. I raised a dispute for a refund, and templateMonster refused. Hopefully, PayPal can assist to retrieve the amount i paid, as I will show all evidence, emails and communication from TemplateMonster. I quote *. I have bought a WordPress Theme with Classic Website Customization Service for a total of $221. I got my website in 14 days. Recommend that you describe your request in the best possible way in order to get a result in a reasonable amount of time.

How many times do we face frustration when support staff keeps on sending back automated responses that neither solve the problems nor give any clue.

Not so with Template Monster Tech Support, whom I find have always responded with more than expected a help...Thank you Daniel Dawson

They scammed me and then fought my CC charge back. No one responds and I am out $40. Beware these guys are not a legit business.

This review is specifically for Nancy May who reached out to me to ensure everything was going fine with my website.

First, I was having issues with my assigned project manager Alex Benson. His communication skills were very poor. I had to resend information multiple times as if he could not look back within the email thread to find the attached files. I received notification that tasks were performed when they were not. Needless to say, I was frustrated. Not with the template. I really like the template!

Nancy arrives on the scene!

She quickly took care of issues that the project manager said would take a developer to handle. I had already reached out to another firm to help me navigate my site to fix it personally. It turned out to be a quick fix that's edited within WordPress and not Elementor. I shared various links with Nancy as to the problems I was having; and what I had personally solved already. I did have further questions as to how to edit the header and footer, plus how to edit the sidebars of my posts (I'll admit I'm a beginner at WordPress). She quickly navigated me through the menus and now I feel comfortable editing the rest of my site.

Nancy is thorough and very professional on the phone. I greatly appreciated her calling me. I'd asked the other project manager to call me knowing that things can't always be explained as well via email--he would never call; allowing me to clarify exactly what I wanted done.

I appreciated Nancy's patience and can't say enough about her friendly demeanour. Template Monster is very fortunate to have her on their team. If it were not for her reaching out, this would be a 2-star rating at best.

I paid for the all-inclusive web development package in February. It's now July and I don't have a website. I provided the content and it was just a cut and paste. No professionalism in placement. No edits. The website is plain white despite sharing the mood board colors. My home page reads " welcome to Turista" which is the name of the WordPress Template. Photos were posted even with the instructions I shared on their captioning. Total waste of money and time. I can't get my business licensed without a website. This is a whole disaster.

I purchased their lifetime subscription for $529, but after 24 hours realized their WordPress themes had licensed plugins that required you to purchase an additional license to receive updates. I wanted to use this professional subscription for my clients, but I can't pass that cost on to them.

I requested a refund within 24 hours of the purchase and was denied because I downloaded 3 templates for testing purposes. They are not installed on any websites or live anywhere.

Terrible service, they could have easily refunded my money since I was so quick to test and request my money back after learning how bad their products are.

Absolute worst experience I have ever had. Support is useless, I dealt with a online ticket consultant named * who is probably the most incompetent person I have ever met.

Theme doesn't work, service is terrible and no on replies to emails.

Think twice before using this company.

After discovering the theme I bought 5 minutes prior was not compatible with my webhost, critical errrors, I I directly contacted the seller that there were problems. Turns out they don't care and have a refund policy stating I need to spent my money on another product. As a consumer I am in my rights, the aforementioned problems were not stated and considered a flawed product on my behalf.

I had a very terrifying experience ever at the hands of TemplateMonster. The counter leagua theme I brought for thanksgiving 2021 turns out to be a barely functional gift. Not only I was required to buy elementor pro but I was also being let down by their support author and technical team. They kept defending themselves in the way they help customers and how elementor works which is not how is done. How can you customise a website when the posts section is locked and in order to unlock it, I will have to buy elementor pro. They say oh it's not necessary, there's no need to do this. My reaction is I had enough, I can't stand them and defend them long enough to realise it's not my fault. Instead, they're undermining my ability to get the best out of this theme that reflects poor business practices I've ever seen in this industry. And oh, try challenging them into a debate about a refund but they say oh this theme is 100% functional and editable, without the need of elementor pro or must require elementor pro to use the best of website experience. Oh wait, I'm still confused and they never advised customers through such clarity when advertising on their website. Other website template companies are well detailed, but TemplateMonster did absolute nothing and should alert customers when trying to sell their products. Once again, very unhelpful. I can't waste my time anymore over their incompetence, having brought another theme elsewhere and had to hire someone to complete my long-awaited project that TemplateMonster couldn't do within a week rather than trying to get TemplateMonster's help over the last four months without success. Now I'm falling way behind and having to rush through things when I wanted to experiment something new on my site, where I'll have to postpone for at least 1-2 months while I am going through a tough time right now by getting past the pain TemplateMonster ruined my project & also undermined my ability to use elementor over the last 4-5 months. This is the one and only time I have used this service, as I will never use TemplateMonster ever again.

Buyer beware. I have used Templatemonster and Monsterone for 5-6 years and never had a single issue, until now. I'm not sure if they changed who does their support or what, but something changed.

If you have any issues with a theme, the support will not actually try to help. They will read off the standard BS lines on their computer screen, "it is you", "it is your host", it is anything but a problem on their end. I had a problem that was clearly a problem with the theme that I purchased from them and yet they kept pushing the blame on to me or my host.

For some silly reason, the theme installation is a theme and a plugin that supports the theme. When I used the plugin that came with the theme, it was actually the plugin that the theme will not function without, it would not work with Elementor. Of course the theme is an Elementor theme, so it requires Elementor and it requires the plugin. When I disable the plugin, Elementor functions, however the site looks like hell almost as though there is not theme installed. They gave me setting to check on my server and installation, which were all correct or already set.

I tried to tell the support, I gave them very specific examples and they just kept saying it was the plugin and I should disable the plugin. Hmmmm, uhm, the theme and the plugin are both required to work together, so I can't disable one as the other will not work. I tried to explain this to them.

They refused to listen to logic or contact the developer of the theme and kept telling me that it was my problem. So I used another Elementor theme, one that didn't require the buggy plugin and shocking, without a single change to the server or the website, besides the theme and disabling their buggy plugin, it worked perfectly. Yet, they insisted that it is my issue, not the theme and to disable the plugin that is causing the problem and to use quality plugins, lol.

I can deal with the attitude they had that doesn't bother me, but I can't deal with the fact that they refused to actually provide support and try to correct the problem or at least get the developer to look into it. I will NEVER use them again, this is NOT how support should be and they should be ashamed of themselves.

Very waste time on purchasing here. They doesn't implement OTP on the payment stage and request credit card photo from the clients, that's ridiculous! You need to communicate to online agent and email, waste 30 mins to complete the order.
