I've been ordering disposable contact lenses for about 7 years now from Clearly. While I can't fault their website and general service; the price of my lenses has risen by about 25%, the actual quality of the individual lenses seems to have gone down (It's not unusual to have up to 10 defective, ill-fitting lenses in a 90 pack) and my particular brand prescribed is getting harder and harder to find, so I generally have to wait 2-4 weeks for an order... when I used to get it within 2-3 days! Maybe I was just spoiled before!
I just got the eyeglasses I ordered online at clearly.ca and I'm very impressed, easy to use website, created my account, found the frames I wanted, keyed in my prescription, paid and got my glasses in about 8 days. I love them and don't see a difference from any other optical vendor I've been to in the past. I would happily have gone to my optometrists dispensary but since they moved locations about 5 years ago, they went all high end Gucci, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana on me, all high end frames $400 dollar plus, then add the lenses. These guys shoot themselves in the foot by not having a range of price points. No way am I prepared to pay $400+ just for the frame. The only downside I could imagine with buying on line is the fact that you don't get to try on the frame before buying like going into a bricks and mortar store but if you know the size/style of frame that usually fits your face, that shouldn't be a problem either. I found that I was kept informed of my order, from start to delivery with regular email updates. I will definately buy again from clearly.ca. Im impressed!
Order contacts on June 22. Received an email stating they would arrive at there facility by June 28. Hadnt received any update until I called on July 12. At 10:00 pm on July 13 I received an email that now stated they were back ordered and they hoped to receive them by Aug. 9... very unhappy with the service. Cancelled my order. Will not be using this service again. Would not recommend to anyone.
If you need contacts, they're absolutely the best place to order from in Canada. Their price match is so easy to take advantage of. I once tried to price match to a competitor's site but after shipping and handling costs it actually came out higher than Clearly's -- so what the lady on the other side of the phone did was search up another competitor site and found a price match for me. Very impressed with this company. Highly recommended.
I've ordered multiple items over the years and they have always followed through with good service and packaging. I have gotten glasses which came with a nice case and also contacts on multiple occasions. So far nothing to complain about on my end.

The glasses I ordered are very good. My $700 pair fron a major optical chain are no better!

The coating on the glasses cracked up and Clearly would not do anything about it. I was happy at first but i like my glasses to last years.
Despite months of emails and phone call and endless apologies from them there is no consumer complaints supervisor able to provide the glasses ordered when mistakes happen. They have consistently sent wrong glasses over last 10 months. They take hours apologising and saying they will fix it but still not. Take care with your experience. It may be quicker to go to Dispute Resolution of Civil Courts than wait for customer service to respond. Easier to deal with in person opticians or try other online companies.
The site is user friendly, customer service is the best, so many frames at very reasonable prices, delivery real fast and free so far (ordered twice in one month because had a 20$ dollar rebate at Easter could not resist - the zoom reading glasses ended up free!) Returned a pair hassle free too with their return label sent by email. Try it out you will probably never go back to buy your glasses at full exaggerated prices at the optometrist and can have more than 1 pair and not break the bank. Your prescription glasses will probably end up at least half the price or better because they have such great sales on the frames. Next purchase some good sunglasses!
I really enjoy shopping with Clearly Contacts. They use an interactive site where you can see their products from different angles and also on a real life model. They have detailed measurements and information on each individual pair of glasses. Their site is very user friendly and I found the order process to be smooth and painless. They've also added the ability to store your prescription details to your account profile so you don't have to add it in every time which is very convenient. I've ordered numerous pairs of glasses and contacts from them and have enjoyed my experience every time. I've had to return twice when I received glasses that didn't quite fit me right and the return service agents were always very very polite, nice and understanding. They never once questioned my motives for returning or tried to convince me out of it. They told me everything I needed to do to have the products returned to them without a single charge to me. Shipping speeds are amazing, I'm always very impressed with how quickly I receive my things. Overall, I really like this online retailer! Sometimes I find that stores that achieve online status from being regular store fronts first take so long to get it right. Clearly Contacts is online based only (to my knowledge) and they know exactly what their doing in the e-commerce world. Keep up the good work guys, we love you!
This website offers huge collection of frames and sunglasses to choose from. I always used to buy my vision glasses from local stores but this website had saved me so much money. There was a particular Prada model that i was looking for and luckily i found it on their website and overall i saved $170 compared to local store price. Fast shipping and good customer service. Very satisfied. Will definitely recommend it to my friends..
I ordered two pairs of glasses with prescription lenses for $128. I ordered them both on a friday and received them the following tuesday. They sent me several confirmation emails immidiately and kept me up to date as to when it shipped. Amazing service and a great company. I will be ordering all of my future glasses through Clearly contacts. I don't think there is another site that can provide as fast and reliable service to it's customers.
Have had excellent success in ordering reasonably priced contact lenses and glasses from Clearly Contacts.(especially during sale time!) Last fall ordered new glasses for my husband and after trying, unsuccessfully, to adjust to them we recently emailed Clearly contacts (5 months later) and asked if we were able to return. Not a problem and they were very apologetic that the glasses didn't work out. Throughout the process they kept us informed of when the glasses were received and our expected credit. Very professional and top quality service. Have recommended to many of our friends and family and they too have been pleased.
No reason to pay extra $$ by shopping in a store. (although they do have locations in the Vancouver area)

Very happy with my glasses I ordered from Clearly Contacts for the price, only problem is that they are a bit too wide for my face. I could have exchanged them, but for how often I wear them I don't mind too much. They were $20, and I had bought glasses from a store last year for about $300. I actually like my Clearly Contacts ones better.
Great products, came very quickly, easy to shop from! I would LOVE it if they could put a virtual thing on their site so people can upload their photo's and see what the glasses would look like on their face, that would make me buy glasses from there, other than that good!

Answer: Hi Dan - what you're seeing is the pre-authorization hold being taken and released so we can actually take the payment upon shipping out. On a regular credit card this is pretty invisible (a pending payment becomes an actual charge), but because the only way to apply a pre-authorized hold of funds on a credit-debit is to have the processor remove them from the bank balance and hold them between your account and Clearly's, it looks more like a charge, refund, charge. In either case, Clearly only receives the funds the one time once the order ships out!
Answer: Oh no! We're truly sorry to hear about this and apologize for the late reply. If the prescription is correct, one more piece of information you want to verify is the PD (Pupillary Distance), as it is not always showing on the prescription. If it is not, and the PD is showing 63mm (or 31.5/31.5) on our receipt, this means the PD by default may have been entered when placing the order. This measurement is important as it allows us to cut and place the lenses in the frame in order for your eyes to focus right at the middle of the lens, to ensure comfortable and perfect vision. If the PD was incorrect, or if you're experiencing eye strain despite a correct PD, please contact our customer service team at 1-866-414-2326, or via chat or email through our website with your order information.
